I want to build a chaos team and have each of the warriors dedicated to a different god, but I'm at a loss for what to do for slaanesh. Each of the other gods have their own WHFB/AoS units, but slaanesh doesn't. Would it be appropriate to convert a stormcast eternal to a slaanesh player or is there a better option?

I'm gonna pick up a starter set next week. I assume that both teams from box need some upgrades - what is the best way to expand them? Is a second box necessary or maybe I need only few extra models for each team?

There are a couple of all the positionals, but for a few of them, like the blitzers or the black orcs, you'll need to convert some linemen or buy a second box
They are releasing this week a human box, with the all the humans you can find in the starter set, and the ogre, that is the big guy of the team. If you buy those you'll have everything for any occasion and more

Once you've bought your team + rules that's pretty much all the money they're going to get from you (and then maybe the odd £20 if you want to start a new team), meanwhile 40k can continually pump out new OP minis, codexes and campaign books and is in general a bigger money sink. Give wrestle to your thralls by all means, but never your vamps. Vamps need to be on their feet to bite after a failed bloodlust roll (but can bite a prone or stunned thrall), so block is far superior for them. Leap is fairly redundant given you already have hypno gaze for busting cages open.

I tell one of my dudes to throw a block, the dice roll and then a big 15 second countdown comes up over the top of the dice and I can't see what the fuck I'm doing without dicking about with the camera. Whelp finished my starting team for the new league at the FLGS

Advice for Skaven vs Wood Elves? He has a tree, which is nice, a lvl 3 str 1 catcher, which is beautiful, and a str 4 Strip Ball wardancer, which is terrifying. Fortunately, his kicker died last match.

I have a Gutter Runner out and a Rat Ogre, because they're fun even if they're not good.

Most teams should be retired if one of their important players gets injured or dies.

Creating a new team takes a few seconds, there is absolutely no reason to play a team with no skills and down players.

Is it worth taking Piling On (the real one, not the nerfed BB2016 version) on a big guy with Wild Animal? I always find rat ogres and minotaurs to be completely useless after getting knocked prone due to having to either waste a blitz on them to increase their chances of getting up, or having to settle for a 50/50 chance of them actually getting to their feet rather than just thrashing about and screaming uselessly.

Boys, it's been a while since I played tabletop, and after finding out recently that the new box set's rules weren't entirely just a reprint of LRB6, I'm getting the itch again. Question is, I can't seem to find any new pdf for the new rules, nor do I know if they're even good. So, if I were to start up a local league, which copy of the rules should I use, and would it even be worth buying the box set and season 1?

The only defense I know is making loose cages and "terrain obstacles" (mining the field with tacklezones, so there's no way to get with just one leap to your ballcarrier).

Such placement requires a lot of your players, so using the sidelines to your advantage (minimizing the number of players needed) might be a good idea.

Don't be satisfied with just a cage, you want to cover the angles surrounding the cage that the Wardancers will try to come in from with screening players so that he has to make a few 3+ dodges on the way in for the leap.

You won't see them cage diving until they've taken Strip Ball, though, it's a riskier move than most coaches want to do with such a valuable piece unless they're desperate, and if they're desperate as Wood Elfs they're probably just as likely to spend the game guarding against any long term damage you might inflict on your way to victory.
