One time I saw an image of someone hanging up a bunch of Nazi posters, and later I thought about how I should have saved it and renamed it "/pol/tard tries to post in a filename thread on /tg/"

But then I saw the Donald Duck Hitler in armor gif and figured that was better than anything I could have done.

Believe me, if they'd been able to finish the Project sooner, Germany would have been nuked more than twice.

A large number of the Manhattan Project scientists were refugees from the Nazis and they only started having second thoughts about using the damn things until AFTER Germany surrendered.

Germany surrendered May 8th, Trinity went off July16th, and Hiroshima got it August 6th. Germany lucked out by about 3 months.

If anyone doesn't know, that is a 98k Mauser actually used in combat that some faggot doled up in pony regalia. The pony stuff isn't necessarily the issue, because everyone can laugh at the guy who has his entire AR, case, and Pistol doled up in anime waifus and shit, but the history being violated.

However, it's less infuriating, because someone bought it, cleaned it, and restored that particular gun.

Honestly, there are so many fucking weird permutations of (and in) transhumanism, it's actually made it easier for me to run Changeling the Lost more than it has Eclipse Phase.
Whenever I need to depict the True Fae in Changeling, I just make them look like transhumanists: shifting effortlessly from empty-headed decadent couch-potato, to over-sexualized sacharine-sweet child, to rabid enraged killing-machine without moral qualms. It works surprisingly well.

You mean as far as the religions go or how they're identified as Mormons? JWs usually go out door to door in full suits. Mormons usually wear the short-sleeve white shirts with the little nametags.

It needs context. Out of context, it looks like yet another edgelord that no sane GM would allow.

If we drop the 1000 years, and personality shifts, and replace immortality with biological immortality, it would look like yet another bad guy henchman, and a decent one. But it would still need a decent player to pull off.

Mormons are pretty whack as far as beliefs go in comparison to other branches of Christianity.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3BqLZ8UoZk
JWs are mostly a lot like what you expect from traditional Christianity but they reject a lot of the developments of the past 2000 years and have their own, "simplified" interpretation of the Bible.
One of their big differences is that they don't believe everyone gets into Heaven on being good. In fact, only 144,000 do. The rest die and then get ressurected on Earth after Armageddon, which will be remade into a paradise.

You know why Mormons are so fixated on genealogy? It's because they believe in retroactive baptism. That's right. They baptize the names of their non-Mormon ancestors into their faith so they all can frolic together in special Mormon heaven or something.

Even weirder, they were baptizing the names of Holocaust until fairly recently. They figured they were helping out all the Jews, Poles, Gypsies, fags, retards, Russians, and whatnot the Germans were stuffing into ovens by letting them into Mormon heaven. Naturally, Israel pitched a shit fit when they heard of it and the Mormons eventually stopped doing it. Or said they stopped doing it.

Ask the next Mormon you meet about the magic underwear they all have to wear.

We don't we kind of have a lobby in the afterlife that is filled with all the dead people from our world, after they die they kind of sit around until judgement day.
To get into the highest degree of heaven one must be babptised, married in the temple and hold the priesthood if male.
Baptism for the dead allows all those people who died without knowledge of the church to go to heaven.
This way everyone has a chance to go the highest degree of heaven.
They will be given the chance to accept the baptisms that are done in this life and can refuse if they want to.
I think it's very hopeful, that's why I'm a member

The point of a GM is to act as the player's antagonist, but to always hold back to that victory is achievable - so that the player can "outsmart you."

In french culture being furry isnt even considered strange at this point, even commercials for international brands (Orangina, several shampoo brands, clothing, etc) have furry mascots, the only people that end up on french "furry sites" are fursuiters or worse, and "normal" furries just post on normal forums because it isnt considered degenerate.

also there is a serious french nationalist tint to a lot of furry sites for some reason.

We believe that people existed before this life, comeing to this earth is a test to grow and gain in expectance. Gods number one priority is agency and would never force anyone into anything. When we go to the spirit realm we maintain the attitudes we had in life(Jew in life,Jew in death). Members of our church who go to the spirit world teach those in the spirit world about the gospel like our missionaries do here. No one is forcing anything on anyone. But if they join the church in the spirit world we want to give them the same abilities to progress that we have here, however we have no ideas to tell who are converted or not we have to do them all.

I actually can, I'm a university student right now(for genetics of all things). And I get that this is strange for a lot of reasons, however I think it's very nice.
Our church doesn't really have a hell. The terrerestial glory of heaven(which is reserved for those who die as criminals or murderers) was seen by the first prophet of our church, he said that it was such a great place that one would kill himself to get there. And hitler will be there. The second the telestial is reserved for those who where good in this life but we're never converted. Is even better. The last is for those who pasted the test there god himself teaches those people how to become gods like him. Our hell is the best place to live imaginable and our heaven is a place where you can become a god.

Fun fact, doing things to someone without explicit consent is evil. Don't matter that you stopped when told not to, you still did it in the first place.

The whole 'better to beg forgiveness then to ask permission ' shit is legit unadulterated evil.

If god cares about a little water splashed on your face, and whether or not you explicitly served as a man of the cloth, then he isn't worth my time or effort and is probably not a god.he's a dickface. Like every man of the cloth who rapes little boys so he can get around the whole 'unholy to fuck women' thing, you're a dick to use 'but i'm saving you i'm saving you' as a defense. I don't get why anyone who isn't mormon cares at all about this. So what if the mormons declare absolutely everyone to be posthumously mormon? It has no effect on anything at all outside their bible fanfiction. Does it really bother you that much that some folks in Utah have somebody's name on a list of people that they've supposedly convinced God to let into heaven? If so, why? They think they're doing everyone a favor. I would have thought that everyone else would think that they're doing essentially nothing except genealogical research.

Jokes aside, Saitama has been shown to withstand and deflect planet buster attacks.

However, in DBZ, planet buster attacks are around the 8,000 power level region, Boros was able to dish this out so is easily in the 10,000-30,000 power level region, and could survive punches from Saitama, and even survived a serious punch at least long enough for a final few comments.

Yamcha, towards the end of the series when prepping for the otherworld tournament, was sparring with ease two of the high end fighters, which each alone was strong enough to defeat super-perfect cell without effort who was putting at around 1,300,000,000. Also, in recent episodes in Super, Yamcha took hits from universe buster level foes, admittedly they weren't trying to kill him but the fact that he survived the blast radius is something to say.

Of course, the whole joke about Saitama is we don't know his upper limit, but based on what we know it's not stricly unreasonable for Saitama to be weaker than Yamcha.

Tl:dr power levels are bullshit.

I'm a pagan, which means i get to choose what i worship. Which means if i want to not worship the dickheaded gods, i don't have to.

Monotheistic dick heads don't have it that way, their god is the only one, kinda drunkenly negligent, and obviously enjoys watching people suffer so he can 'test' them,

You know what he is? an abusive jealous partner whom you are dependent on because they are literally the first fuck in the world that you got exposed to and you decided that's that, it's best, gods shiny dickgina for me, doesn't matter that they beat me, humiliate, demand that i wear certain fabrics or eat (or not eat) stupid food.

What kind of petty stupid bullshit god does that? if it's all fucking powerful, has a goddamned plan, cares that humans who have free will express a goddamn lack of free will, then why arn't we already doing it?

Why arn't we all goddamn Catholics or Muslim or fucking Buddhist?

It matters to them. It matters that THEY think it's ok or doing something, because it means that they probably don't give a fuck about consent in other areas, which is fucking evil. It matters because being an asshole in one respect probably means your an asshole in other respects. It matters because they are willing to violate my 'soul' in order to sneakily get me into heaven. Jew here. The commandments in the bible aren't supposed to be followed to get you to heaven, they're supposed to be followed just because.

Literally, if you're not jewish and you want to go to heaven, all you need to do is...
>believe in a god/higher-power
>don't blaspheme against the god/higher-power you believe in
>don't murder
>don't have unholy sexual relationships (incest and the like)
>don't steal
>don't eat an animal that's still alive while you're eating it
>live in a place with laws and courts

If you're a Jew, you need to do those seven things, plus another 604 additional things, which includes (but is not limited to) not-mixing wool and linen.

>missed the point entirely.

If your god, in anyway, demands that i do something in order to get into a place that's not fucking boring or on fire, it's fucking stupid and evil.If i'm to be punished for not living the way it wants me too, t's stupid and evil. Doesn't matter what powers or fucking wierdness it has, tell me what to do JUST BECAUSE (this is important, i'm all for government and regulation it's the 'because i say so because i'm god' shit that bothers me) you're evil. i'm not your entertainment (fuck i';m a musician) and i'm not your slave (waiter too).

I am really just against established rules for divinity, if they were real or useful, we'd all be wizards.

Belief in a higher power, especially an omniscient one (like the Judaeo-christian god), means you believe that everything is, or can be, under the control of a god. The idea that god is testing to see if you are worthy of heaven undermines the concept of free will "do as i say or i'm going to torture you because giggles"sorta deal.

Now i'm pagen, but that doesn't mean i believe that gods, or divine things, have anymore power than we do. I firmly believe that divinity exits in all things, and it's up to us to nurture it and develop it into 'not being an asshole to people'

I used the most ridiculous examples of the stupid shit in the faith i could find, because it's just as stupid as 'gotta be priest to get to the highest level of heaven' 'gotta be baptized in order to be a good person and hang out with the rest of us' 'babies who aren't baptized get to go to hell'

My biggest, and most flippant problem will always be, without a doubt, the fact that, in the religion, and in the most vocal members eyes, if i don't believe in it, i'm going to hell.

It boils down to 'my god is better than your god' school yard bullshit that we should've grown out of when we stopped being children.

Like you do.

YOUR 'God' isn't worthy of worship. It's also either extremely arrogant or uneducated to continue using a title that many have laid claim to as a name.
>My God IS better than your god
Your god is a murderous, jealous, insecure, and unreasonable bitch baby who only CLAIMS to have created the universe. Those claims, as well as other stories attributed to him, were blatantly plagiarized from other cultures and beliefs that predates even the earliest idea of monotheism.

If the parent takes the child's hand, puts it on stove when it's hot, and gets pissed for the kid flinching, he's a shitty parent. this is what you're god amounts to. god is not a parent and we are not children. if we are, gods an abusive parent who's probably an alcoholic and a large portion of humanity just wants to stay as kids.

It's 6 AM, so I don't have time to respond to everything, but this one really annoys me.
>It's childish to believe in something you don't have empirical evidence to support.
So anyone who believed in the far side of the moon before the mid 20th century was childish? I agree with you about we can never know for certain. That applies to absolutely everything though. You have to take everything on faith to some degree or another. That fact was a lot clearer back when people didn't know as much about the world as they do now. White men had no proof that the Nile had any source until they found it, nobody had any proof that the moon had a far side until an orbiter was sent up, etc etc. There were more unanswered answerable questions long ago, which I guess made people have an easier time dealing with the fact that there are also unanswerable questions which are not and will never be answered with any non-miraculous proof. I wasn't trying to suggest that anything I wrote had any proof behind it, but neither does anything else at all when talking about religion. That doesn't mean, however, that there's no such thing as truth. It just means we can't prove that the truth is the truth.

>>51896029
Ok, I'll respond a bit to that one too. You're basically saying that God should remove free will. That if God allows us to sin then God is responsible for all the problems sinning causes. Being able to do good things or bad things without God saying "Actually, no, you didn't do that. Or at least, I'll pretend that you didn't by removing absolutely all the consequences of it ever having happened." is what free will is. If we can't do bad things with bad consequences then we're nothing but God's puppets.

so lets take apart this shit, because fuck you. Dark side of the moon? we can see one, brightly lite side of the moon, notice it changes phases (though it's still Geo Locked) and have observed several other celestial object move through space. so no, not blind faith, but evidence based extrapolation.

I don't know the stories of the ahem 'white men' and the Nile, but presumably there was evidence like birds, clouds shit like natural phenomena and not 'miracles' and if not, then they got lucky and were still childish to attempt it.

Also many of the 'unanswerable questions' the universe has thrown at us have been answered. Humanity is kinda good like that, it's why i think we are divine.

Just because you believe it to be true, does not make it a part of 'Truth' and belief in unproven things (even if they are true) makes you childish. they are exclusive camps yo.

And you missed the point involved in the whole thing with free will. you fundamentally do not understand what being omniscient and omnipotent is.

Imagine, that, for example, you can see ALL of time and change do what ever the fuck you want to to literally any point for any reason. It's not a situation of 'i do a thing, god makes it not mean anything' it's more like 'god already knows if i'm going to heaven, well before my greareat greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreatreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat great greatgreat greatgreat great greatfucking grandfucking father was even born. >So anyone who believed in the far side of the moon before the mid 20th century was childish?
lolwut? Anyone with half a brain knows that anything with a "near" side also has a far side. Even if they thought the moon was a flat circle, it would STILL have a far side. Try a better example, like the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
>You have to take everything on faith to some degree or another.
No, you don't. It doesn't take faith to know that dropping something will result in it falling to the ground, because gravity doesn't have jack shit to do with faith. No matter how many times you repeat the experiment, the result will be the same, faith or not.
>White men had no proof that the Nile had any source until they found it, nobody had any proof that the moon had a far side until an orbiter was sent up, etc etc
Citations needed. I've never heard of anyone saying that the far side of the moon didn't exist. You know what's funny? Before we figured such things out, dipshits like you always wanted to answer with "hurr, I guess the answer is a god/goddess, let's leave it at that", and it's the people who weren't satisfied with that who figured things out.

Fuck the rest of your post, it's text-book god of the gaps argument. Look it up. I also suggest reading up on logical fallacies in general, especially circular reasoning.

>Ok, I'll respond a bit to that one too. You're basically saying that God should remove free will.
That's not what he's saying, you strawmanning faggot. Learn to respond to someone without putting words in their fucking mouth.

Correct

Also, saying that believing an unanswerable question (read FAKE AS SHIT) is the same as Not Knowing, is actually pretty fucking stupid.

You know what existed throughout our history? Evidence the dark side of the moon existed.

You know what has never, ever been proven (in fact miracles have been systematically disproven across the years)?
Fucking god. Every. Single. THING. in the fucking universe can be explained, or has evidence present that show it can be explained and we are doing all we can to find that evidence.

You are an idiot, this has been proven not only by your arguments and beliefs (yes i think it's stupid to believe in divine shit, even though i am a pagan) but by your choice of words, lack of logical understanding and the general feel i get from my godlizard.

So, as with every single Mormon in the fucking world (Jehovah's witnesses too, fuck it, every dogmatic religion and the people who follow), you can go fuck yourself you fucking fuck.

doesn't that discredit, like, all the bible supplements, the mormon book, the million different types of christianity, etc?

Yes, yes it does.

neat.

For what it's worth, not everything in the Bible is prophecy.

Extrapolation is not proof. Evidence is not proof.

>It was childish to attempt to find the source of the Nile
Wow.

Unanswerable questions cannot be answered, by definition.

I never claimed that the fact that I believe something makes it a part of the truth.

It is you who does not understand free will, omniscience and omnipotence. For free will to exist, God must refrain from using His omnipotence in certain ways which would nullify all the consequences of our actions and therefore effectively remove our free will. Free will also means that God doesn't know all of what you're going to do, because there is no such thing as what you're going to do. There's a bunch of possibilities and until you decide on which one you're going to take there is nothing to be known about which one you will take.

I also never claimed that God was trying to test anyone. You're the one claiming that.

>>51896318
The idea that gravity works the same way each time no matter what is not something you have proven; it is something you have faith in. You don't know for absolute certain that gravity won't change how it works tomorrow. You think you know how it works, you have certain good reasons for thinking that, but you don't have any proof and you don't absolutely know if it'll work the same way tomorrow. But you have faith that it will, and I'd say that's an ok thing to have faith in.

I didn't say that anyone doubted the existence of the far side of the moon, just that nobody had proof that it existed.

>God of the gaps
I thought you might say that. You're the one who should look that up, or maybe you should read my post again, since it's nothing at all like that.

Also, I admitted to cherry picking what to respond to, since I should have gone to bed quite a while ago, and am now actually going to do so. I'm sorry I couldn't give better responses to everything.

>God doesn't know all
>you who does not understand free will, omniscience and omnipotence

Fucking. you arn't getting the whole 'sees space beyond space, time beyond time' it doesn't matter that he doesn't negate our actions, he already knows what we are going to do no matter the fuck what. thats what being God implies.

>I also never claimed that God was trying to test anyone. You're the one claiming that.

I am, based on presentation that if i SIN I GO TO FUCKING HELL. YOUR RELIGION IS FUCKING BASED ON IT YOU SHITBIRD. LIKE HOW IS THIS NOT A FUCKING. FUCK EVEN THE FACT THAT GOD USES A SORTING ALGORITHM BASED ON ARBITRARY ACTIONS IN THE MORTAL WORLD DISCREDITS HIM BEING ANYTHING MORE THAN A SHAM.

fucking.
> Evidence is not proof.
ev·i·dence
ˈevədəns
noun
1.
the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.

no it's not proof, its a collections of facts and observations that can be used as a tool to show that something is true...

Wait shit that's proof.

I love the 'gravity is just a theory' bullshit.

You do realize that gravity, in the history of earth, has never, ever fucked up? That, though shit did happen, we later found out our understanding of the theory was not complete and updated the theory to remove whats wrong and exemplify what's right? That proof can be found in repetitive experimentation? That we basically prove that gravity, or a gravity like force, fucking exists because it fucking effects us? You know that's what a theory is, and religion isn't a theory, it's just make believe that everyone goes along with? that trying to use doubt and a lack of the negative as evidence or argument completely discredits you right? That saying 'well there's no evidence against (and i'm heading you off before you make that one) must be true!' that even though the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, the absence of evidence is not evidence of presence? That this duality of thought can exist and be stable? That you wouldn't be reading this if gravity fucked up, ever, in anyway that wasn't natural? THAT PHYSICAL LAWS ARE NOT EFFECTED BY OUR BELIEFS? YOU KNOW THAT RIGHT? THAT A FACT IS A FACT AND GOD IS JUST A GODDAMN TURTLE?

LOOK AT THE TURTLE! IT LOVES TO FUCK LITTLE ROCKS.

as an aside, i came into this thread to laugh, and i got to yell at a Mormon. best way to kill the end of my shift.

>I also never claimed that God was trying to test anyone.

If there are rules that can be broken, are you not being tested? Why have rules to follow if there is not a punishment or detriment to not following them? is not my *reward* for following the rules explicitly getting to go to paradise and my punishment for not doing so to go to someplace not as nice?

Are these not *explicitly* stated by most religions?

to recap;
>questions, answers, and failing grades

sounds like a goddamn test to me.

>Evidence is not proof.
Gone full retard, now.
>The idea that gravity works the same way each time no matter what is not something you have proven
Yes, it is. It's proven by repeated testing. The results of the testing is consistent every time, without fail. It's proven.
>it is something you have faith in.
WRONG. Faith is believing without evidence. Gravity has evidence.
>You don't know for absolute certain that gravity won't change how it works tomorrow.
You've gone full retard, and have now gone beyond. I'm somewhat impressed.
>but you don't have any proof and you don't absolutely know if it'll work the same way tomorrow.
You're literally trying to tell me that there is no proof for gravity. Take a moment and let that sink in.
>but you have faith that it will
You're just repeating yourself now.

>I thought you might say that.
Aware of your own logical fallacies, and using them anyways. And you just keep going. Where's that "200% full retard" image when I need it?

>God of the Gaps: The term God-of-the-gaps fallacy can refer to a position that assumes an act of God as the explanation for an unknown phenomenon, which is a variant of an argument from ignorance fallacy. Such an argument is sometimes reduced to the following form: There is a gap in understanding of some aspect of the natural world.

You went on a spiel about how we can't know everything, so therefore god. That's EXACTLY like that.

When you wake up, go to the library, pick up some middle school level science books, and get a proper education you uneducated pleb.
