I'm pretty new to the game, but I ran into two so far.

The first is a Tau player who accused anyone who beat him of cheating. He brought a stormsurge and riptides to a ~800 point battle.

The other was a chaos player who threw a hissyfit because his Chaos army lost. The rest of the night he spent complaining to his friends about it and how "This is why girls shouldn't come to the store." Which is odd considering the owner is a woman.

Getting a gauntlet squad is a good purchase, as it's basically a free rhino with a small sprue of dark angels specific bits and weapons, like a power sword and a plasma pistol and some cool heads.
As for actual force composition, don't use an unbound detachment. You want to be working towards a Lion's Blade Strike force, as per https://sites.google.com/site/wh40000rules/codices/dark-angels/structure, as it's a really good basis for a very shooty army formation.

The similarity to the starship troopers mobile infantry is probably legitimately coincidental, they already had a very similar helmet with chin strap since first edition and the second/third edition miniatures had shoulder pads with straps running down the entire torso which made them look even more similar than the 4th edition cadians.

This Hashut guy. That's just the Emperor. Bulls instead of Eagles but yeah. Tyranny? Fire? Hatred? Greed? It all fits the Emperor perfectly. Its the perfect fit for a 'in a mirror, darkly' version of the Emperor that the current Imperium represents.

It's far, far too cheap for what it does and, for some reason it's still not a Superheavy Walker (which comes with some distinct advantages in the average game it'd be used in). Points effectiveness wise it's one of the, if not the best Titan on the tabletop in 40k.

If a model has a bolt pistol and a plasma pistol, does the Gunslinger rule mean each attack they have is firing both pistols or do they just get to fire each pistol during the Shooting phase not matter what their A stat says?

Nonono, Gunslinger only lets you fire both pistols as one weapon in the shooting phase, nothing else. So if you're like Cypher and have Bolt Pistol and Plasma Pistol, you get one shot with each only. Cypher's using his pistols in melee is an entirely different thing, Attacks stat has nothing to do with shooting. Each model can only make one shooting attack with one ranged weapon unless they or their weapons have a rule that specifies otherwise, like Gunslinger.

Heh, my first every experience with the 40k universe was when Totalbiscuit did his WTF is for Space Marine. Oh man, that brings back memories. In the video he described how the Bolters were no mere gun and was quite impressed. I was also highly amused by the Orks' voices (did't know they weren't Orcs back then) and tried to find clips of them talking, not knowing I could have just looked up Dawn Of War stuff (didn't know the game existed). I was also wondering why the big Space Marine dude wasn't able to pick up those cool looking laser rifles the Imperial Guard were using, but now I know the truth of the flashlights. I ended up hitting up the 40k wiki to try to figure out what the hell was going on but with not much context a lot of the lore went over my head. I didn't really have much more to do with 40k until I started using /tg/ (mainly for DnD greentexts and story threads).

And here I am now with a head full of 40k lore, an army of Orks, and the desire to start up a Space Marine force with the future release of Guilliman.

Could not see "he was abandoned as a child, his father beat him, his mother never loved him" working as well with a jury of judges and lawyers.
On the flip side it makes actual law stuff take much longer, since juries are already pissed to be there, and the last thing they want is to hear you explain the legal basis for aqquiting your clinet.

It almost requires you to be a bit more of a ""showman"", since juries aren't too happy to be there, and getting their engagement almost helps build ethos and already gets them on your side in a way, since you actually get them to care.

If some judges weren't elected that would already make a big difference I reckon. Suddenly you've got a massive breach in the separation of powers, and that's at the "lowest" stage of the judiciary power.

Non-elected judges could render judgement according to the law much more often, and not need to take unnecessary hard attitudes on people just because they need to show that they tackle criminality and such.

Don't feel bad man. I'm a CNA. I literally clean up human shit straight from the source of old and disabled people. I don't get paid much and the people I work with are all older foreign women so I can't bond with anyone.

I will probably not do this much longer because I have enough time now to get a full time job, but try to think of it as having a useful skill set. Even if you don't continue to be a plumber you will have the knowledge of how to fix your shit later in life. For me I've gotten a lot more comfortable with human bodies and I'm comfortable assisting people with disabilities or older people. Friends of mine sometimes pay me for side jobs helping their grandparents or people they know with disabilities get their day started or sometimes I swing by to help them bathe. I'm not exactly proud of myself, but I do feel good knowing I've helped someone do something they can't.

It's also helped me a lot with my own mother. Her illness got worse so when her own CNAs at home can't come, I take over for them and take care of her.
