What is this, your first rodeo? First you use your influence amid their lower servants, hopefully you did remember to thoroughly ingratiate yourself with the servants, to find out which servant said noble is fucking (they're always fucking at least one). Then you have that servant surreptitiously drug the noble in question and, once incapacitated, toss them in the back of an unremarkable vehicle and drive them to the lower hive. Once there, dress them as one of multitudinous peons that inhabit the lower hive, and unceremoniously toss him in some back alley. Without an identity card they will be unable to access any transportation, without any money they'll be unable to bribe anyone to take their claims of nobility seriously, and without any connections they'll be unable to continue their distasteful activities unperturbed. With any luck the time spent living on the streets and surviving off nutri-paste from a public dispenser will cause them to see the error of their ways and the Emperor to grace them with forgiveness and a long life full of repentance. If nothing else, their sins will be mortificated by a short life of starvation, deprivation, and a violent death.

Imperial world, mostly low tech level, no hives. The noble is a very devout member of the Imperial Cult, no outwardly immoral behavior. A lower servant is the informer, and interrogated by the famulous after the accusation of wrongdoing on the part of the noble- just to make sure she's telling the truth...

Of course sister, don't forget that we have set up various venues to help watch our charges. While not at all the most worth while sorts the various sorts who rut about in the lower hives keep tabs on those who go in and out of the various establishments. Having communicated with the Arbites we often trade information with them in exchange for their stern and proper execution of the law be focused elsewhere while we deal with our wayward sorts. If they are truly lost then their genes are best spread among the masses having been reduced to corpse-starch.

Appeal to the resources of rival noble houses, though these are treacherous and will want to use this to enhance their own position; something you may not want to tangle with.

Better alternative: guards/former noble attendants who have become disenfranchised with the nobles, and can be turned to your own higher purpose. If, that is, you can rekindle some semblance of belief in a higher purpose, or at the very least coax them into service some other way. Perhaps it is that faith comes after action.

Arbites would be your best bet. They and the AdSor already have a mutually friendly relationship with them and commonly share similar similar goals.

The noble has a large secret collection of unsanctioned/unapproved (but legit) relics and cathedral decorations, bought on the black market, so she can feel closer to the Emperor and his saints. She very devout, but ultimately selfish.

If the allegations are correct, the noble is breaking Ecclesiarchy laws- as far as the Famulous knows. Until the relics are identified as being off world it wouldn't be an Imperial Arbites issue (it will turn into that further down the campaign timeline).

I love the non-battlefield aesthetic of 40K and I seriously wish there was still a game like Inquisitor around. Or maybe something at the Infinity scale, all about intrigue and shadow ops.

I just wish GW would give us some models for this stuff. It's some of the most creative and interesting shit in the setting. I am so much more interested in the internal affairs of the Navigator Houses and the Astra Telepathica than New Space Marine Chapter #295731 who is special because they have a new type of gun.

Hell yes, navigator house intrigue would be such a great setting- there would be so many cool directions to go with that. I've been kicking around a way to make some guards for Navigators and other psykers, with a sort of psychic hood helmet. I already have some 3rd party Dune-inspired miniatures for a navigator storyline.

Marines would be interesting in any other setting but 40k

3+, 4+, 3+ for years made marines so boring for me. When I switch to Sisters + Inquisition I started enjoying the game again.

To be honest, I just want to see more shit that isn't touched on often.

I want to play a game where Sisters Famulous can fight against a team of agents from a rival Navigator house intent on stealing a new heir to replace their dead one. I want to see a skirmish between an undercover Inquisitor's retinue and the local Arbites. I want to run Eldar infiltrators against the Sisters manning a Black Ship, for reasons unknown but undoubtedly sinister.

Just... just fucking bring back specialist game GW.

It really makes me wish they had gone in another direction for Sisters of Silence. I'd have loved to have seen a Cold War type scenario between the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, Culexus Temple, and the Inquisition over pariahs and blanks.
