I want to run an AD&D 2E one-shot for a group of new players.
I know nothing about what to search for AD&D one-shots. Help me, /tg/.

That thing you want to do? Don't do it.
If you must, for some reason, run a AD&D one shot you can run the start of Tales of Enchantment in one night, or cut out enough encounters to finish it up without needing to take several sessions.

The OSR general's mega has quite a few AD&D2e resources under TSR/AD&D 2nd Edition. However I agree with the other poster, why do it? If you just want to do a one shot to see how the system works, that's fine. But if you're looking for a system to play then I would recommend Basic Set (B/X) or AD&D1e before that.

Check out the AD&D "Challenge" series (Fighter's Challenge, Wizard's Challenge, Thief's Challenge, etc.). They're made as one-player one-shots designed to cater to that class's strengths, but they have NPC cohorts of equivalent level that join the player at different points in the game. You could swap them out for the other PCs and splice these together to make your own one-shot.

Well let's find out what you're interested in, first. What setting do you like? What power level? The sweet spot in 2e is levels 3-7. That's where it's the most fun. So I recommend starting at level 5, meaning you're looking for an adventure intended for 5th level players, on average. So how many players you got?
