There were three dwarven brothers, all merchants of low-tier magic items in a Large Generic fantasy city. Somehow, they got their hands on a Map to a Secret tomb in which there might still be the devices to create high-tier magic items. An amazing treasure, that would make any owner filthy rich and would be coveted by every powerful dragon, wizard and other badass in the region.
Three brothers went on a quest to find this place, have found it in mountanious badlands region, were ambushed by a Dark elf who took the Map from them, killed one o them and started to explore Secret tomb with his band. One dwarven brother escaped, had found help of reliable adventurers who eventually killed Dark elf and his minions, saved other surviving brother and have cleaned out an entire Secret tomb.
My question is: How should Dwarven brothers now proceed? Secret tomb should be explored in detail and its magical secrets revealed as well as protected to a decent enough level.
Should a third party be involved? Should adventurers be asked to help guard the Secret tomb? Perhaps some powerful dwarven warlord should be notified? A dragon perhaps? Problem is, all these will just take all the riches Secret tomb produces, for themselves. How should two dwarven brothers act? Being traders, they have small wealth on the side for this things, but nothing excessive. Also they have lost their brother for this Secret tomb and they really want it for themselves.
thanks

The tomb could have a necromancer cult inside.

Tomb is cleared out. No monsters. Just Ye olde magical equiptment waiting to be rebuilt and working again.
He offers the party a Partnership. If they pay him a ton of cash now, they get free magic items later, or heavily priced down ones anyway. Otherwise, he'll offer them a generous discount on all his future wares, instead of items and steady income.

Absolutely and is already a part of a plan. Problem is, every relevant power in the region will want the Secret tomb - when the info comes out.

How close are the brothers? One of them is dead now, perhaps the two are fraying because of it and have different intentions for the tomb. One wants to notify the local dwarven lords to take over the site as their dead brother wished, the other wants to keep it for themselves because their dead brother's sacrifice was important.
Then the players have to pick sides. Add pressure of the local dwarven lords needing some sort of magical weaponpower against a coming invasion, but also being powerhungry and shit's complicated but the players have stuff to do.

Great ideas.
