Haven't played multiplayer Minecraft in ages. Is joining a faction mandatory? I generally prefer ganging up with people who end up living in the area I settle.

Fondest memory I have of that is founding a Chechnya themed faction on a communist server. Spend a week in game on the run from an admin who hadn't figured out the teleport-to-player command. When he finally did we had built the server's best city, Laibach.

Another time I just randomly started building on a server when an admin tp' to my location and liked my castle so much he protected the area - midconstruction. Never finished it.

Damn, I miss playing mp and the feeling of being a pervasive vagrant.

Massively debuffed in the sun and eventually combust along with weakness to golden weapons/holy water but you get super good abilities and passives to counteract them.

I've claimed a little wooden dock on the WhisperWynd river just south of spawn in the Central-Southern Riverlands.

I can't help but notice there's a large claim in this area with a rather intimidating helmeted sigil.

No update at the moment because weather conditions [blizzard] but I have completed the tower and am clearing land for the expansion

I joined on the 9th but there have been a lot of different things, such as helping others, gathering material, etc.

Example, currently building a frozen lava volcano. (volcano with ice} and hot spring and its probably the hardest thing i've ever planned out.

Have to clear land to double the foundation of the castle.

Current rooms that will be in it:

throne room
Grand library
at least 1 tower devoted to wizardry
Armory
Grand kitchen
Dining room

But I'm 1 town, but my nation Fenrir, have done some other amazing things.

Marti has built an entire under water town
Qaucunque is doing a very natural and intergrated town in the snow
Shad has an underground base that's fully fleshed out and running out of things to do in it.

This is so true. I found an abandoned house in the wilderness next to few large towns and I use it as my residence when I farm, mine, cut down trees and fight mobs. Pretty good life tending my farm.

Shad's base should honestly be our capital town. Its got 9 levels including the top, fully fleshed out and mostly finished. vault, farm, infernal mob farm, animal farm, an altar to the god of digging, enchantment and potion area, with just a little less but more active people than my own town.

Last i checked his people were clearing the land above, messed with color pallet's and expanding their tunnels because they ran out of things to do.

A recent addition to Fenrir, is charm and Xak1, together they had a simple goal "i want a hot spring in a cave" we have no caves on our continent so they built a frozen volcano.

Its currently a huge WIP and will have its straight edges rounded out to look more natural and packed ice added for effect.

Even as a WIP, i'm impressed that they did this in a day.
