Water is easy, you just have to paint it first. wrap the whole thing in a tube and very carefully pour a clear acrylic mix in.

I've done it for set pieces before and it's really hard to work with if you're doing a waterfall or something like that, but for a static pool of water it's pretty simple.

Awesome alt campaign. We already know it's awesome, it's here. And it has one of the better KS discounts due to being released early.

Lion God is trash tier right now. But with 5-15 more Lantern Years to play around with it might not be so bad. And Silver City is probably one of the most intriguing, ambitious-looking expansions. Assuming the mistakes of the Lantern Festival are not repeated (and nothing looks like it would be) that's pretty good

>Abyssal Woods with Spidicules, FK, DBK, and Weaver
Okay, this is a pricey combo package, but it's one that has a lot of legs to it, and not just because you hacked them off that damn spider. FK and DBK on their own are good expansions: Poots team loved them and it shows. Weaver is a node 1; it's nice to have an alternative to moar lion. And Abyssal Woods is the pitch that blows Silver city out of the water: Just about every game mode (Alt start, Alt end for regular start, quarry monster, short campaign...), a FUCKTON of monsters (Dragon Goblin node 3/5, Human Form, Flower Witch, Disciples, and Spiral Knight)... yeah this thing is epic. The only weak entry is the Spidicules, and it's not terrible it just has the misfortune of replacing everybody's favorite resource pinata, the Antelope.

Happy I was able to snag a Necromancer, Order Weaponsmith (loved the original art from KS1) and the normal Weaponsmith.

I got an extra dice set because even if its only rarely that we need more than the dice we have, it still happens occasionally. Having extra dice means we will always have enough, we have to pass them around the table less, and it will be less catastrophic if the unthinkable should happen and one or more dice go missing sometime in the future.

d10s are easy enough to replace. But losing hit location dice would suck.

Alright anon's I've been called upon, I'm getting all the new expansions with my pledge level and I've already added Dragon King, DBK, FK, LK, and Gorm.

What's the last expansion I should get to compliment the rest the most, Spidicules, Slenderman, Manhunter, or Sunstalker. I know I'll need Spidicules for Abyssal woods but considering that's 3 years away most likely I don't see the rush to get it if any of the other expansions fits my collection better.

Id still go Spidey, personally. Its a good deal, you save more on getting Spidey through KS than you do for most of the others.

Sunstalker is sort of a lame alternate campaign, IMO, and its an ugly monster to boot.

If not Spider, then Slenderman. Replacing Armored Strangers is a pretty nice way to shake up a campaign.

The Manhunter is required to make the infamous Acanthus Nurse build for the toolkit he can drop. His fight is fun, since he's the Undertaker, but otherwise not much there.

Spidicules is needed for Abyssal Woods, but also seems decent enough in its own right.

Sunstalker is neat, but PotSun isn't as different from PotLantern as PotStars is. You get Sunstalker more for hunting it than living with it.

Take note that the Manhunter came with many pledges for free during 1.0, and he's typically the cheapest expansion to get in aftermarket. Spider meanwhile often sells out quickly and scalped a bit more than I might personally go for; this is the cheapest you'll be able to get it.

Slenderman replaces Armored Strangers, so no Kingsmen.

He also has more game content than most current nemesis monsters do, in that you can actually get resources from him to craft spooky weapons. I have it, and it's a good basic fight, a welcome change to hands cat, and has a nice narrative for L2 and L3 gorms.
Gear is alright, plus alchemy.
Gorm climate is a negative settlement event that has to occur every turn. It would have been better if it auto occurred once and then just was included as a potential event. I totally understand anyone who cheats in this way, otherwise your early campaign is following the one rules-legal route to get it to go away as soon as possible. It makes the game a little harder, but not in a fun way, and the trade off gear you make doesn't justify it. Like if you could make vespertine bow (Flower Knight's expansion and overpowered) but the cost is gorm climate that would make more sense.

Guys, I fucked up.

During the Kickstarter, the Red Witches really stood out to me. Their designs looked aesthetically pleasing, the battle sounded intriguing, and I liked the idea of playing a short, 3 year campaign as them. But I put them off, prioritizing other expacs for the Abyssal Woods.

Then, once it was revealed we could add more funds with the PM, I added them back to my order. But then, after re-reading their description, I learned that they had interactions with the Pariah (which I also added to my pledge), the White Speaker (which I am also debating on ordering during the KD webshop sale, unless someone could clarify if the White Speaker/ her events come with the core game, and the miniature is just to put a physical representation of her on the board?) and Fade.

I REALLY liked the concept/ design for Fade. I liked the idea of a mother fighting against all odds to protect her newborn child. Cheesy, sure, but interesting within the context of Kingdom Death. But, seeing as I originally didnt plan on buying the Red Witches, I put off on buying her, figuring I could pick her up some other time down the road. (last I remember, there were 672 in stock according to the KD store page)

But now she's sold out. And damn that hurts. Now my only hope is to pray for a reprint, or buy her off some scalper online.

Don't make the same mistakes I did, fellow fa/tg/uys. If you see something you like, BUY IT. Because it may not be there upon a second shopping spree.

Speaking of the Pledge Manager, it seems most anons are adding onto their original pledges by a decent amount ($100+). If we somehow managed to add another $100,000 to Poots pocketbooks, do you think he might add in another random goodie into the Gamblers Chest?

I've done nmm silver, iron/steel, but gold never works. I figured out though that trying to make the nmm gold, and then drybrushing just the faintest of my old metallic gold on it makes it look just insane. I'd post my kingsman but I'm not home. If elves are included, don't expect them to be High Elves or anything like them.

Poots has said that the theme he designed every monster with is the struggle to survive. Not just to overcome them, but even the monsters themselves are fighting for survival. Its why he will never include a straight up undead monster in the game, because zombies and skeletons are the opposite of that.

High Elves that are immortal and beyond the hardships of humans don't have to struggle to survive and so won't fit into the world. If we get elves of any kind, expect them to be otherworldly beings like the Flower Knight, or just humans with pointy ears.

In a way, the role of elves is already kind of filled by the lost Lion Civilization. Everything elves want to be in the setting, the Lion People already were.

Anyone else feel Ike the armor sets are going too far past what a Stone Age-ish settlement can do? Beyond hide, lion and antelope armor, and maybe leather it all seems too advanced, especially the expansions. I know rule of cool, but now screaming god remains will make Viking plate armor, frogdog remains will make steppe mongol clothing, etc

It's strayed off theme, but this whole game is a wonderful messy sprawl despite poots' intentions. How does Greco Roman metal armor get made out of a time lord chicken?
