A 10 gun brig-sloop, this one stripped of several guns and about half her crew in order to carry extra provisions and supplies for a scientific journey. Small ships like this weren't able to survive on the line of battle but were vital for harassing the merchant navy of opposing powers.

A skilled and daring commander with such a ship could make a lot of money taking prizes.
