Eh I was thinking about it but my deck is a shit tier homebrew that can't even consistently win FNM. Keeps going 2-2. It's a kiln fiends prowess deck that relies on pumps to kill early (Basically worse infect) If I could switch to GB infect in time I would though.

I mean I'd want reprints of staples more than anything to lower prices but that would fuck standard a bit too much where as things like fatal push can generally pass through no problem. I suppose I would like to see the phyrexians and new cards based around their mechanics but Wotc hates everything they've done with the phyrexians so it would require some hard tinkering to make cards they feel aren't degenerate that have infect or use phyrexian mana. Personally though I think it's still possible as they did a pretty good job with infect first time through and phyrexian can be tinkered with. Maybe phyrexian that bolts you instead of shocks. Sucks more for decks that care about that but doesn't let decks like death shadow cum to that sweet sweet masochism

Me and a friend just put this deck together, wanted to see if The Gitrog Monster could be used to make a viable deck.

It's basically a Jund Seismic Loam deck but with a Gitrog infinite combo

yeah, figured Rest in Peace would be a problem, but for that you have 4 decays, 3 Nature's Claim and a whole load of discard.

I honestly think Leyline of Sanctity will be an even bigger problem as it dodges the decays and also turns off our discard as well as seismic assault. Maybe a full playset of Nature's Claim and 1 or 2 more Maelstrom Pulses is needed.

The deck also wrecks people trying to run Fatal Push.

Actually, I benefit far more from knowing my next draw than a burn deck would. It helps me know if I want to dredge or not.

For instance, I dredged a Dakmor Salvage instead of drawing after a goblin guide revealed an Emrakul, so that I could reanimate it with Goryo. I would have drawn if I hadn't seen it.

Does anyone else use the newest and latest lands? I personally like this one because A: I really like the art, and B: for some reason, new lands triggers the fuck out of a bunch of modern players. It's always a good feeling when someone missplays because they're too busy ranting about how shitty they think new lands are and how Unglued/hinged/Beta/whatever is 10000X better.

This, mostly. I run Ravnica basics in Teysa EDH, Alara lands in Knightfall, full art Zendikar lands for Eldrazi etc. If there's no block that is particularly relevant to a deck, or the relevant basics are ugly/boring, I just grab whatever looks good.

I play delver too, your removal suite is the fucking best in the format. The problem is you have a shit ton of different answers. Maybe you wouldn't have to remove that goyf if you had left up a U to spell snare it the turn before. Also with fatal push, terminate, and the delve kill you should always have something in your hand to deal with it. I'd love to see your list.

These are some of the reasons.
Traverse snap comes up more than you'd think. I've won so many games because I have so many outs. I can draw snap, traverse or bolt/what I need.

Also it doesn't really show here but my sideboard consists of 4 huntmasters and 2 bedlam reveler. Traverse makes playing moon much easier too.

Mainly just being able to find more threats without reducing delver flips and filling the yard for goyf and reveler.

Another aspect is that alot of the time I'm looking for a land with serum visions - or when I was testing sleight of hand - anyway so it's basically a cantrip early game. Burn also is easier when you can grab basics pain free.

There's more to it but I'm super sold on the card

Jund is nice for Goyfs roflstomp carrying you vs have-nots running cute brews that have better odds against something that doesn't just outright outmuscle them. Also less time taken to complete a match.

Control fucking sucks when your opponent sits there going HMM while they decide what to feed your counterwall.
It backfires when you actually have to dump your hand after some draw-go and it's unclear as to who's better/drew better/has better position. Grindy as fuck.

Bedlam Reveler. "Fixed" Treasure Cruise. Cool card that helps out against any deck that wants to grind or go long in general. Also nice against Affinity as you can answer all their crazy strong threats then repower.

I couldn't kill him because he had multiple bridges in play and I was forced to use my draws to dredge.
Eventually I won by ulting my Liliana of the Veil 3 times, once to kill his LotV before it got too high up and a bridge, once more to take another bridge and half his stuff, and the final time to take all his permanents except bridge.
Then I hardcast an Emrakul, Noxious Revivaled an Abrupt Decay to the top, removed it and swung.

It would have been brutally short had I drawn a single Gitrog or Assault, but I didn't get a single one from flashbacking my lootings or the times that I drew a card.

I would also have hit him with a turn 3 emrakul but he was on the play so he landed the bridge first.

Funny part was that I had to +1 my LotV to keep HIS hand empty so he couldn't kill me with manlands.

Best card against Jund and to a lesser extent Abzan is a Liliana, the Last Hope.

Modern: Affinity deck at $725 from the last MOCS

Gaming: XBOX One, 5 games, decent TV. ~$600

Warhammer 40,000: Rulebooks, Codex, Realspace Raiders army list, starter paint set, black spray, glue. ~$740 for a fairly stock RSR list, you can actually get a good way there off 3 Start Collecting boxes which was pretty shocking honestly.

Any other tabletop game is going to be about half the GW only list above. I could have brought that in under the Modern deck cost but i went with a GW cart for ease.

Roleplaying: Rulebooks for D&D 5e come to $90 for the big 3, add dice to season.

Homebrewing: Like $600 for a small but real setup for doing full grain brewing rather than extract kits, which aren't fair to count because whilst you can buy 5-10 starter kits for the Modern deck they're also not real brewing.

Small time football/soccer kit: around $500-$600 depending on how much stuff and changes of it you want.

Biking: $700 for a half decent helmet, a Diamondback bike and a basic kit.

I do about ~75 hours per week (the law limits my type of work to 70 per 7 day period but I do some things off the clock here and there to get by). The real issue is I'm only home about one day a week. Sounds like someone's never been to a comp REL event. If you did you would have left round 1. One time I was playing a win-and-in at a PPTQ. I was on Titanshift and my opponent was on infect and known for being a salt golem wannabe pro. I scapeshifted, did my mountain count, and said "I sac 4, no 5 lands." He called a judge and the ruling was made that I would have to sac 4 lands even though I corrected my statement mid sentence and hadn't touched anything on the board. But I didn't scoop my cards, I played it out and won anyway. Good play beats cheap angle shots any day, I believe the guy this happened too ended up winning the round.
