300 million people (39), they live in concentrated areas (most of the planet is uninhabited but habitable- it is very large after all). I'm assuming this number can increase with reproduction.
Attitude adjustment (40). Benevolent, curious, lack the concept of authority (so nobody is power hungry and there are also no rebels, people do their own thing), love to share knowledge with others, prone to non-sequiturs but not played for humorous effect in the lolsorandom sense, more because they seriously value freedom and since they're curious they think about a lot of things at once. In fact they would lack a sense of humor altogether. Something like quiet, serious and polite cloudcuckoolanders.
Culture (42). Single parents. My people would not have gender but any one of them is capable of reproducing with any other, and when they do each ends up with one child. The parent has two major responsibilities: to teach the child to respect and not interfere with the lives of others unless invited, and to provide the child with a variety of ideas so that it may decide what interests it. Then the parent encourages that interest. There is no physical age when one becomes an adult, rather adulthood is defined by when one has firmly selected an interest and that interest leads them away from home. Socially, adulthood is often defined as when one enters a "circle" of others who work towards a common goal. Circles are like a mix between friends and coworkers, but with a deep, almost spiritual connection brought on by their shared impetus. Outside of circles that are only composed of two people by happenstance, one-on-one intimacy is almost unheard of, except in circles that are dedicated to exploring the meaning of one-on-one intimacy, and with parent-child relationships (although parent-child relationships dissolve when the child reaches adulthood).

All work is voluntary and trade is conducted by each party evaluating the other's needs and responding accordingly, rather than creating fixed values for objects and services. Fashion is swirly, ethereal, surreal and favors neon electric accessories. Colors are most often reds, blues, blacks and purples, although other colors are worn as well. Things like robes and weird fancy hats are common. Metahuman population (47). Everyone is a little translucent (organs are barely visible), sparkly, has a slightly less solid form than humans, and they all have telepathic abilities. Body colors range from black to blue with occasional purple and white, and organs are often bright red, green or yellow. Circlemates have greatly boosted telepathic abilities amongst each other. Also as I said before, they're genderless. They are humanoid because I'm not very creative, but they have more conscious control over their organ systems than we do, to the point where with focused effort they can create new organs or regenerate damaged ones. Practiced telepaths can create shared and sometimes permanent illusions, most often visual but sometimes tactile as well. Auditory illusions are uncommon. They're photosynthetic and very efficient at it, so they spend their leisure time in darker places because it is very easy for them to "overeat" and explode or something.

Tech upgrade 6 (53). Whimsical magitech, kind of opulent, can be a little too form over function sometimes. Lots of integration between telepathy and technology.

Magic upgrade 1 (55). I didn't know I'd have to pick this to give people psychic powers. Psi is limited almost exclusively to information-gathering, communication-related, metabolism-altering and illusion abilities. Telekinesis and pyrokinesis, for instance, don't really occur, although machines that can be telepathically directed and simulate things like telekinesis do exist.

Cosmic adjustment (72). Days are something like 60 earth hours, on average only 12 or so are daylight hours, except during sporadic and short daylight seasons where it's bright all day.

There are several moons, but one of them is HUGE and bathes the whole planet in a cool glow, a lot like in the picture.

I also forgot for biology that they don't have a sense of hearing, taste or smell. They'd have a reduced tactile sense compared to humans, pain would be almost nonexistent, but heat sense would be more sensitive. They'd have a very strong sense for electric fields, they'd have the usual telepath senses like empathy, detecting other telepaths, etc (but they can't read minds aside from circlemates, they can only send outgoing messages) and their sense of vision would be crazy with zoom features, insane resolution, low-light vision, better color, shape and motion distinguishment, an increased color spectrum like x-rays and ultraviolet and the like, favoring the upper frequencies over the lower (so no infrared). However these are pretty modular because they can generate new organs once they figure out a schematic. They are a lot more sensitive to light than we are, though. Earth daylight is blinding to them. Their biggest weakness is how they are practically helpless when they go out into the day to feed.

Thought processes are by far mostly visual, and this is reflected in their telepathic language. They would most likely not understand our verbal language because they do not use sound to convey meaning.

Landscape adjustment (75). Lots of forests, lots of caves. There's some huge deserts. Plains aren't really a thing, and most clearings are man-made. There are a lot of plateaus that are arranged in a step-like fashion. These also have mostly forests and caves.

Exceptional materials (78). Cool glow-y rocks and materials that can be used to make non-euclidian spaces.

Fauna and flora 2 (81). Biolumiscence everywhere, the planet is like a big lightshow. There are lots of mushrooms, jellyfish, land jellyfish, translucent deer, whatever.

Oh and for flaura and fauna, carnivores would be very, very rare, and carrion would be a lot more common among animals from all different sorts of classifications. The majority of the planet would be herbivorous or photosynthetic, though, or rely on weird alternate forms of energy like electrical energy or something. Because of a lack of carnivores lifespans tend to be shorter and reproduction rates slower- although members of the humanoid race can hack themselves into being immortal through constant maintenance of their bodies. Otherwise their average lifespan is around 40 earth years, although aging is not apparent. I'm not sure how often they would reproduce but not often, it'd be a pon-farr sort of deal. Also there would be no bugs and no harmful bacteria/viruses/fungi. Tiny land jellyfish would function as pollinators instead of bees.

If the space station is small, that should suffice. Evading the bots would be a pain in the has but having maintenance access makes it way easier to duck out of trouble and cause the kind of havoc that might create a big enough riot that justifies unlocking the escape pod.

If it's really big, I guess I'd be a space whore and spend the extra credits on a hoverboard (gotta get around somehow) and snacks (tofu and beer). And this is not the only one. The world has 4 moons, each the size of Earth and just as ready to be populated as any other. Indeed, it is as if the very gods smiled upon me and my people.

The lands are strange and awe inspiring, with vast painted deserts, thick rainforests, mountains that would make Mt Everest weep with envy, rolling plains of fantastic colors and land motes, floating chucks of land the stay in the air by magic.

If it was the kind of shapeshifter that imitates body and personality and there was no background giving the others an advantage (like say, being rich, having a noble title) then yeah it'd be basically the same as having a series of artifacts to choose from and then the last one is "Can do anything the others can. Same cost."

Well, critique is a bit grandiose a term for it.
It's a reaction to magocratic convention. But in a way it's better than it because the reveal gives you a reason, albeit a flimsy one, for why you should treat the enemy as the good guys with the "purest form of love" line. In magocratic convention they just step in themselves and tell you and you're supposed to believe it.
