Lanterfolk are the main race.

There are no spacecraft. Space travel is done through arcane rituals involving a good knowledge of astronomy and an abundance of magical power.

The national sport is vehicular combat/racing.

restaurants and chefs are mega celebrities like rock stars.

they travel through the galaxy to different planets like a band on tour through arcane rituals. people pack into arenas to watch the chefs cook and the rich or lucky get to eat the delicious restaurant food.

wealthy families will offer up their children to be taken by these bands to be trained to be a chef. many younglings wish to be star chefs and travel the galaxy with the restaurants.

restaurants also have teams of Searchers who will go and hunt for ingredients in dangerous parts of the universe. the best chefs accompany their Searchers - and the apprentice chefs have to complete a unique recipe that requires them to go on a pilgrimage to find rare ingredients.

Earth is conquered by aliens, who then colonize Antarctica since it's similar to their home planet.

One of the main NPC/side races is a giant nation of arthropod-based humanoids who worship insectoid dragons, and their species can vary between different things such as mantises, moths, crabs, and various other creatures of that sort.

You see, /tg/ fags fetishize "originality" while completely missing the point that originality is only a small portion of what makes a setting compelling. Anyone can have original ideas by charging up the "lolrandumb" lobe in their brain and dumping out crap like this. But is any of it good? Do you know what a good setting is? Something like GURPS' Caliphate setting. That is has just one (1) original idea: Middle Eastern technology doesn't die in the Dark Ages and interstellar travel is perfected by the 1600s. It has a lot of good lore built into it, but it doesn't overload itself with LMAO THIS IS SO CREATIVE because guess what faggot not everything in the setting needs to be extremely interesting and original in fact that just fucking makes it worse.
