What if Wizards of the Coast was a democracy?
They're a democracy of the shareholders.

That's an aristocracy.

Take a good, long look at paizo.
We'd still be in 3e land, and I doubt there's a silent majority in this hobby of all places to keep the SJWs from running away with all sense.

It would be even worse.
Depends. Do you mean all members of the team responsible for lore, mechanics, etc, would vote on changes, or that the fans would vote for who's on the teams who vote?

I've never quite thought of stocks that way... cool.

It is. People vote with their wallets.

So the main difference from older players and the current plebbit sjw base soul be the lore, art, and virtue signaling. Even today they older player base is strong enough that votes or game play and mechanics would be lead by them since sjw's don't care about that aside from limiting control, which would occasionally get upgrades since they forgot to vote against it. Casual players only focus on the now, so with no control they would forget about it, and allow good control to get passed. As for lore, that's where the SJW'S will win, it would be like now, just with more bullshit. EVERY new character would be some trumblr pants on head retarded meme.

More like a plutocracy, if you ask me.
Nationalist Graveyardism.
