A lot of the complaints I see aren't because the story is being moved forward, but because the complainers don't like how it's been done. Not liking how an idea is executed =/= not liking the idea.

Also, the people who are complaining about the fact that it's moving, and not just how it's moving, probably aren't the same people who wanted it to progress in the first place.

This is just part of GW's bullshit where they don't understand their own lore anymore, either that or they don't care and wanted to sell some new models because fuck it.

If/when Ynnead is/was born it would be a battle to the death with Slaanesh. Ynnead, even having an avatar, must register in the warp (realm of Chaos) as a spiritual entity. Since the warp is divided up by Chaos, he is at the mercy of the Chaos Gods as long as he's there. There are a few possibilities and these would have to happen immediately:

• Ynnead and Slaanesh fight
• Ynnead kills Slaanesh
• Slaanesh kills Ynnead
• Ynnead can't be found by Slaanesh because Ynnead's signature is too weak to register. If Ynnead's signature is too weak for Slaanesh to find, there is no way Ynnead even matters at all because it will never be able to challenge Slaanesh' strength.
• A "draw" between the two is virtually impossible. Remember that Slaanesh was birthed out of untold billions or even trillions of Eldar spirits while Ynnead has likely only been created out of numbers still in the thousands. Not to mention the Dark Eldar have been mucking it up for the past 10,000 years resulting in more spirits for Slaanesh to siphon. Dark Eldar behavior is what birthed Slaanesh in the first place so they have been fueling him through their spiritually corrupt behavior in life too.
• The only way the other Eldar Gods survived was either through Khorne (Khorne protected Khaine), Nurgle (Nurgle kidnapped Isha), or deception (Cegorach is a master of escape and tricks and this is the only reason he survived). Ynnead has none of these protections and if he was born out of Craftworld Eldar souls he wouldn't be affiliated with the Chaos Gods or aiding anything anti-Eldar.
