Tempestus Scions give you 9 S3/AP3 shots on fragile units that can do a lot for 70pts with competitive upgrade costs.

Guardsmen give you 50 pts worth of bodies that can meet a lot of requirements.

Marines at 70pts give you a durable unit but need a lot of investment to gain anything good. Good shooting and damage but not very effective in a vacuum.

Conscripts are iirc 60pts for 20 bodies.

So for my Death Skulls army, I'm really going all out for the looting element. Like everything has some bits from other armies on the models. Or in this case, replacing the riders with orks. So I'm wondering if this would be be better off if I stick tires on them and call em warbikes, or stick with my original plan and make them deffkoptas? I doubt a Turn 1 one charge is really that possible with World Eaters, even with Blood Mad. Now, Turn 2, sure, but even then I am skeptical. It would take some really bad deployment to let that happen. Plus, Reserves help with that and even then the Lost and the Damned formation is nice bubble wrap for the more expensive/vulnerable units.

Not saying JuggLords are paper tigers, but they can be gunned down by Plasma. Especially without FNP. 3 Obliterators double-tapping with Assault Cannons statistically kill a JuggLord without rerolls.

As for the flying Daemon Prince, the Vengeance Weapon Batteries, Skyshield Landing Pads, and Aegis Defence Lines can help with that. As an all comer, Iron Warriors are in a very good spot. Just depends on how you kit things out. Like everything, they don't have a great chance against Eldar, but Tau I could see being an interesting matchup outside of Riptide Wing.

Still trying to work out the kinks in my list, but so far I like it. Feels fluffy and is not too cheesy/beardy.

My meta, is pretty chill, only have to deal with Retaliation Cadre Tau Empire, Imperial Guard with Air Cav, Blood Angels (DC formations mostly), and Grav Spam Marines. Those are mostly just my friends. Other guys there play GK, Chaos Daemons, Khorne Daemonkin, Tyranids, and Wyvern Rough Rider IG. It's not bad.

I've currently got a warboss riding a monstrosity built out of a bike chassis and raider bits, a painboy using Talos bits, a big mek w/ kff using random Tau bits, and I'm working on another mek using stuff from a Kataphron Breacher that I think I'm going to turn into a SAG.

I had a 3 man group finish a Knight Titan with MultiMeltas (used Lascannons previous turn outside the Melta rule range) and control an objective that gave me points for a decisive win over a close game, and a single one break a Razorback open so my Cultists could swarm the BA Tac Marines inside. I don't expect them to kill more than their points, I just expect them to do what I need, when I need. They don't let me down too often. Have yet to use the Heavy Flamer to roast squishies on an objective.

Not really here in Texas, especially if they're dudes. This like model-building are actually very popular here - if somewhat insular - and wargaming is very popular in its own right.

The video games are also very popular, which means a lot of computer gamers are at least passingly familiar with it.

DoW 1 and had great Ork fun in single and multiplayer.
I've been playing battle fleet gothic and they're amazing in that.

Their gimmick is ramming, all factions have boosters that allow that to make speedy turns to boost forward for awhile, Orks just have "da big red button" on all of their ships, it's like a super thirster you can't turn off until it runs out of fuel.

Nothing is more visceral or fun than a good ram. I remember taking an elder ship by suprise with my teleporter, waiting until he and his escorts used their boosts getting 'safely' behind me only to teleport to the side of him as the kaptin hits da button.

I know I'm asking a lot but I need some advice with this list.

I'm trying to hit a 2k army list, I have this, and a 500 pts Knights list that I can attach easily. But what should I do with the other 575? I was initially going to get some Space Marines as allies because Centurions are cool, but then Skitarii codex came out, plus running 3 armies at once might be hard.
