In addition to what others have said, giving a weapon AP4 puts it in the tactical niche where it can ignore the armor of GEQ's and weaker, while still not penetrating the 3+ armor of MEQ's. This makes them very good at hunting low-save infantry, but still "ineffective" at dealing with Space Marines and their equivalents.

that being said, are vespids as good as they look? s5ap3 shots would give tonnes of trouble to MEQs and markerlights can mean they basically get no saves whatsoever in some situations. admittedly the vespids are kindof expensive for what they are and they only get one shot each so without markerlights theyd suffer.

Pask is a character, yes. Pask does not normally have access to purchasable Heirlooms.

Tanks, which they are attached to, also do not normally have the option to purchase Heirlooms.

The Cadian Detachment gives Tank Commanders access to Kabe's Herald, but Knight Commander Pask is not a standard Tank Commander and therefore doesn't have access to Kabe's Herald.

Access exclusively to Kabe's Herald does allow normal access to the Heirlooms wargear list.

So no, Pask can't take Cawl's Arcana Mechanicoon.

Just bought the traitor legions supplement, and looking at the restrictions dor the detachments it looked a bit harsh, the fact I have to use the Chaos Warband as a basis limits a lot imo, is there some new cool people use to play that comes from this supplement ? They can't take grav (won't matter after 8th edition), but a good mix of shotgun squads, maybe some CCW ones and a few snipers brings so many bodies to the table most armies can't get rid of them.

See one thing I really liked about the Horus Heresy, before the books and tabletop, was that it was literally 10k years ago. Our entire civilization at this point is barely half that old, think about how misinterpreted and changed the bible has become and now double or triple that.

My point is that from a 40k perspective the Horus Heresy is just a bunch of myths, and stories of the Emperor being forty feet tall and primarchs being thirty feet tall could just be dismissed as fantastical tales.
But now we have a bazillion novels and the tabletop so we know that these, "Myths" arent myths at all, and literally happened. I still like to take the Horus Heresy books as being myths and that what really happened as being a complete mystery, but forgeworld is certainly doing all they can to kill that mystery.

Comments on my 2500 point Astra Militarum list? The chimera's will transport the vet squads while the platoons will have the time of their lives footsloggin it. 7" coherency really isn't that big of a deal. Even if you're not trying to cheeseball it with craftworlders, keeping two or three squads within 7" of eachother isn't too hard to manage, and is even easier if you go full MSU.

Cheap sacrificial squads with low model count will certainly improve it. I expect it to make Craftworlders insane, though for Dark Eldar it'll be more useful at ensuring they have a lot of extra speed and offensive power in exchange for their fragile units.

Look, I play Dark Eldar and am interested in maybe playing a Ynnari army. I'd be thrilled to see them kick some serious ass in a way that makes sense for the story. I just don't get the immediate whining about battles. The fact that all this shitty wrestling terminology keeps getting thrown in makes it even harder to take seriously. I'd rather not have 40k be WrestleMania.

While I don't know of wraiths can be in the detachments or not, that doesn't change much.
Scatbikes will almost certainly be in them.
Allied detachment of wraiths, surround wraithknight with a max unit of bikes, cast "souldreap" on the WK.
Now the opponent can't kill the knight with out getting hit by 40 scater lasers.
So now the opponent has to take out the bikes (who are most likely gaurded by other bikes) and try and whether the WK, or just deal with trading one unit for every one of the eldar's they kill.

This shit is going to be broken.

Ynnari units lose their Craftworld/DE special rules. Unless you mean from a super friendly perspective.

Put Pask in the punisher command tank and have only a single executioner supporting tank.

There is no reason not to have your Russ as 2 smaller squads. Battle cannons are meh due to ordnance. Demolishers are great and the Eradicator is pretty ok too.

Heavy weapon and special weapon squads are garbage and don't let anyone try and convince you otherwise. add heavy weapons too your infantry squads so they don't get killed instantly and take more vets if you want plasma guns.

Take the multilaser and heavy bolter on your chimeras, the heavy flamer (and flamers in general for IG) just never get used due to the range.

All in all your list is pretty bad.
