I listed the Primarchs I meant were tied with Alpharius' shootin. More or less, because Ferrus has that very same gun PLUS another one of his choosing, if at BS6.
Alpharius' Plasma Blaster is that good because Alpharius is that good shooting it as BS5+ Preferred Enemy (Everything).

He's a Primarch that relies in his own skill rather than having the equivalent of the Primarch Sword of Double WOLF Wounding while wielding the EXOthermic armour of Reverse Chill, like Russboi here.

Or Guilliman's armour of SIKE! REROLL!, now that we're talking about Primarch wargear.

The wolffucker-sword;

If it causes D3 extra ap2 wounds, it means we can save against them, right. D3 avreges into 2. Fulgrims 3++ makes it 0.6666 wounds, his FNP turns it into 0.4444 wounds. And there's only 58 or so % chance he'll get them when wounded, thus, it's not that likely he'll die quick. The only problem I see is the -1 to hit, and unfortunately both hatred from chaps and rads from forgelorfs are first turn only. Fulgrim CAN blind wolffucker, but it's very unlikeley. Wolffucker shoul be ws 7 i 6 for a slightly less OP character. And limit the armour to either -1 or as is, but no effect on primarchs.

Your list is all over the place. Lots of different speeds. Do you have a plan or is this just a "little bit of everything" list?

The Lerneans are never going to be far away enough from anything to use the conversion beamer. A single Dreadclaw stands out as odd, and I don't think they're good enough at shooting to be a good alpha strike unit. I'd take Cataphractii with meltas instead, or plasma if their target is other Terminators.

Un-upgraded assault marines don't actually do much damage.

You're wasting the Sicaran's speed, since it's the only Fast tank and using that would be suicidal.

The Command Squad is an assaulty unit in a non-assault transport. With mixed armor.

If you look at the pages Arcana comes after page one of legion tactics so everyone has it in Thousand Sons.

It boils down to everyone having 1 of 5 mini tactics and they get bonuses for manifesting in cult.

When you make a Thousand Sons list you pick which units are from which cults and which bonuses they get.

NL Dreadclaw guy here from last thread here. I'm making my Terror Assault list and I had a couple of questions.

Can my terminator Sargent exchange the powersword he comes with for a glaive?

I'm probably going to shove two squads of vets into pods, and I'm not sure how many options I should give them. They'll get a pair of meltas because I need the AT, but how many combi/power weapons should I take? Should I go with Machine Killers to help against anti-melta? Units with crazy amounts of customization worry me because I usually over spend.

Finally, I've decided on a Contemptor inside the Dreadclaw. I'm thinking Chainfist, DCC, and a pair of plasma blasters. Do I need armor or Havok?

I think it started with the 40k Admech releases. The skitarii plasma caliver and the kataphron plasma cannon got the same thing. I always imagined that it's like a lightning rod or something to safely discharge residual electricity as the gun fires.

They're both swords to me. As in, sabres are a kind of sword, and the word "sword" itself doesn't specify wether or not it's curved, straight, single edged, etc.

They're Str User AP3 weapons to me, anon.

Greyslayers are also great, they're like Marauders but it just seems like this legion is geared towards assault, bringing flyers and yet they dont have many bonuses towards assault like WE or reserve manipulation like RG. Maybe their consuls will push them into greatness but I was kind of expecting more.

New Titan Guard look shiny, pretty much the same as the 40k versions except with a cruder approximation of Doctrina Imperatives.

Shame the Peltast page was blurry as hell, it looked like they had two wounds at 1st glance, even.

They would probably work OK as Reductor anti-horde. Take 40 Thralls, the mandatory Thallax and 20 Peltasts, probably in a Triaros and count Militia and possibly SA as a non-threat.

Haven't found much use for the terminators. Expensive as fuck. Grey Slayer rules are complicated as fuck. Like the sergeant can't take combi-weapons itself, but can use one of the squad's "one model in 5" allowances for it. On the other hand he can take his own power fist and give the unit 4 from this allowance. And why no option for regular power weapons for the sergeant? Only way for him to get any is if the entire unit takes power weapons.

I wonder if Slayers with combat shields are good alternatives for breachers...

I have a set of 10 Volkite charges coming, but I honestly don't know where to put them. They're either going into a full Terror squad, or split between a half terror squad and Tartaros termies. Which would be the better choice?

Magnus could probably be killed by a few Leviathan Dreadnaughts in cc assuming he lacks invisibility. It takes a large investment to insure he has the power.

Across an army of psykers perils is bound to happen and with the whole force being forced to take a pinning test, units that are already suffering from a penalty to leadership are probably going to crack anyway.

Custodes still die to str 10 and have an array of powerful short range weaponry.

Their vehicles aren't particularly durable either.

i was going to start SW as a 2nd army but they just seem like discount WE so i dont know anymore...

I have yet to see one at my shop. Being a FW only product, they're exceedingly rare because of their price and we all pretty much completely pulled AA from our lists at the shop.

seems like the only way to run grey slayers is huge units with all power axes/swords. they are a weird unit, noticeably worse than inductii or blackshields.

the wolf terminators seem totally pointless
