Can somebody who has the Imperial Knight e-book codex do me a favor? I don't see this version in the OP, I think it might be a scan? Apparently there are two versions. I think.

Basically I want to run a chaos warband called the Malefactors, they're one of the chapters that got screwed over in the Abyssal Crusade. According to Lexicanum:

I just read through the pdf in the link and there's no mention of Malefactors anywhere. The Freeblade Knight Gerantius entry doesn't mention them. So maybe it's in the other version of the codex? If somebody could post a screencap of any mention of Malefactors in that codex, that would be grand.

Just bought the skitarii start collecting box. I got dollar store contact cement and crazy glue, would either of those work or should I get something better?

Crazy glue should work, I used the craft version and I think the regular super glue and it worked for me (and my skitarii), just don't glob it on.

Use old ebook unless you just want the extra warlord trait.

Take units of 5 acolytes and a Psyker. Bolters only unless you need the anti-infantry, in which case flamers are decent (more worth than putting them on BS 4 scions).

Those units take Psybolt razorbacks--heavy bolter to keep it cheap or assault cannon to ramp up the dakka.

4 Jokaero and an Inquisitor with Incinerator in a Chimera can lay down a lot of templates, and if you play sneaky, people won't deal with them till they're killing shit. Can do that as your 3rd henchman unit or take a second =][= detachment.

Then take Scions. Formations are decent, as is CAD with 2x comm squads and 2x troops.

GKs/SoB/Deathwatch to taste/detachment limit if you're in a tournament (but in a tourney you might want all DW and GKs instead of Scions).

I am trying to make a functional army based around Sternhammer Strike Force from SM Angels of Death and I am struggling to find a way to stay competitive with it without sacrificing the fluff of Imperial Fists. Vindicators and Centurions are pretty costly and hard to distract from. Is there any way to keep my oponent busy without swarming them with drop pods?

Book brothers, my first foray into the books ( and even reading books in general ) was the red tithe book. Bought it because of high reviews. Half way through it and I am enjoying it way more than I imagined. I know this is more of a side Story but this has been very entertaining. What other books would you guys recommend? I mean I am a fifty tau player and they don't have much in terms of lore. I figured the carcharodon book was a good place to gauge myself. As far as loyalists, I do like what I have listened to in vaults of Terra about imperial fists, salamanders, and the white scars. Kinda digging the night lords while reading this book too.

Read the last chancers series, specifically Kill Team. Fire Warrior is also alright.

For actually good 40k novels? Double Eagle, Enforcer (it's a trilogy collected into one omnibus) and Space Marine would be my top three. The short story collections are often pretty decent too, since that's where they have all the one-off authors doing their own things.

It was small. Just a handful of players. Other lists were my Orks, some non-cancerous Tau, Necrons, Nids, Chaos, and two IG players.

IG were tank and blob. Chaos was fluffy DG. Nids was a real-life distraction carnifex list. Necrons were decurion (i think?), and the non-cancerous tau was infantry with a crisis suit command squad.

I've only faced the guy a few times before, like I said, and they were all small kill team games. He seemed okay then.

Autocannon Havocs are pretty good for taking out light transports and mowing down hordes from a distance. Combo them with that quad gun art is and the make decent anti air, as 8 snapshots along with the actual sky fire will do wonders.

Can we discuss how broken Vraks Renegades: Unending host is? Take a renegade baneblade that grants a 12" bubble of zealot, bubble wrap it with 15 man plasma and melta squads, up to 12 troop slots. When a unit dies, on a 2+ it returns to the table outflanking on your opponents side of the board. Anything being shot through your infantry (baneblade) gets a 3+ cover save. Fill in points with wyverns and rapier laser destroyers. You can get up to 180 specialized infantry, double if you're not kitting them out. Is this going to get nerfed?

I love the army and their units and everything but I hate that the only way to win competitively with them is by either cheating in ~300+ points of Wargear or by abusing a single unit type to the absolute maximum possible.

How do Tau Stealth Suit pilots actually fit inside their suits? I know the lore says the pilots of the larger battlesuits have to curl up in the foetal position inside the chest cavity, but it looks a bit small for that. Not so sure about the pilot wearing it like an actual suit of armour either, since look at dem hips.

Quite a bit of the equipment in their 40K rules doesn't match up with what their White Dwarf 30K rules list, for whatever reason. Like the spears just having boltguns rather than bolt casters, and their special shields just being regular storm shields.

Your units come cheaper with less base BS but can be bought to remedy. This isn't a problem however for template weapons that don't use BS. So you can field all the quad gun crews, 2x wyvern strike batteries and earthshaker ordnance batteries to your heart's content.
It's hilarious because of how cheap and resilient mutant and zombie hordes are for Vraks and your Ordnance Tyrant being the asshole he is, your blast weapons within 12" can be fired into friendly units in combat. How fun is that?

Oh, crap, I forgot that I did build the Infiltrators with Tasers. But yeah, I might nick the Taser Goads and give them power swords instead. My plan is to basically run the Warlord and Plasma guns from cover to cover, and then tag team the chosen target with the Infiltrators.

What made 3e/4e better tournament games is how they handled movement, shooting and line of sight. Much faster paced, less randomness, and a whole lot less shooting. I'd say to stick the Dark apostle with one of the cultist squads, and use them to help grab objectives or run in a blob towards the enemy. They can respawn, so feel free to just stick them with pistols and cc weapons to make sure you're utilizing the khorne marks. At most, give them some flamers.

You may be better off running the chosen as normal marines to help fill the warband formation. If you do go with Chosen, I'd recommend trying to keep them inexpensive. Alternatively, give the lord a talisman of blood and make sure they've all got a power sword and try and go for a turn 1 charge.

Running them as standard marines, you could probably stick them in a rhino with close combat weapons and a pair of flamers. Put a dirge caster on it and try and hunt enemy hordes.

For the demon engine formation, I would go with a Maulerfiend, Forgefiend, and the two helbrutes. Have the Helbrutes go forward behind it and have them try and eat tanks, while the warpsmith hangs back to heal the forgefiend for fire support.

That's just my general advice based on what you have and what I know of World eaters. Not sure if you'd be able to fit all you have planned in there within those points, though you could certainly trim in some areas.

Starcannons were still heavy 3 in those days. Power weapons ignored 2+ saves. Terminators were in an even worse position, then.

They are shit, but the new Castellans Detachment gives them HATRED, which makes them 10x as reliable. You can also combine it with Fulmination Librarians to get Turn 1 Charges across the board.

It doesn't change that they're a fragile as fuck glass cannon unit, but nothing short of terminators survives getting hit with 22 S5 Ap3 I5 attacks with Hatred, on Turn 1. Once the Rough Riders get charged, they die immediately on the next turn.
