Also got the Ork Codex, 7th Ed but some people told me that Space Odin's Codex is better, should I trust them?

Long time 40k player here, Orks are not in the best spot as far as their codex. Depending on what your friends play you might have a rough time.

Lootas and Deffcoptas are okay shooting units, you might also need some Tankbustas.

For assault units, big mobs of Bikers with a Warboss and Pain boy can work quite well.

Don't expect your actual boyz to do much, mostly they need to be focused on taking the objectives that your more heavy hitting units have cleared.

Maybe vs dark eldar... The important thing when spending loads of bucks on a army is that it makes you wet. Play what you like and, whether you win or loose, both you and your opponent will have fun.

also depends on your opponents being assholes or not.

as a beginner, you of course wouldn't stand much of a chance with even eldar or space marines, so don't blame your losses on your weak codex.

also, use the formation which lets you waaagh every turn after the first, I forget its name. it can literally flood the table and I keep losing to it against my buddy more often than not (with dark angels or eldar/harlequins).

I think you'll be able to get decent games in against everyone of those, Necrons and Tau might be dangerous but you have a shot.

My advice however is to not build for any formation and to start small.

A Warboss with a Power Klaw on a bike is an HQ you can consistently use.

A couple squads of boys will fill your troop requirements and allow you to include some specialists in your army.

I'd suggest playing at 500-750 for a while. Don't go all in for 1850 from the start.

Waaagh ghaz has a poo-poo'ed meme artifact that actually gets ridicously strong in your meta, the choppa of Ragnarork. Use it on your bikeboss with an attack squig. Noone expects the I4 of a warboss with ID against T4 from the get-go, then it just snow-balls from there.
