KEEP YOUR GODDAMN CHILDREN SAFE WHILE YOU ADVENTURE WITH THEM, THEY'RE NOT EQUIPMENT EXTENSIONS
>>
Right now I'm playing the party "leader" and face, although my character is reluctant to consider himself the former.

I'm trying to encourage the party to gather some kind of formation in combat to help protect squishier players while exposing our front-liners to enemies. I know you can do the loose "melee front, ranged/caster in the back" motif, but that is far from perfect.

Does anyone have any good examples of party formations that we can adopt to keep our shit together? On more than one occasion we've been a bit spread out and exposed/flanked (in the literal sense, not the game sense).
>>
>>51479206

Why do adventurers have children?
>>
>>51479129
Two

In one, my character is still LN and is trying to become the voice of self-restraint for the group.

In the other, my character's a NE gloryhound mercenary that might just go over to LE due to his 'survival first' over 'reporting to authority' having been partly responsible for the party being about to engage a very dangerous encounter.

Post unpopular opinions.

I really like Akasha, both its flavor and its mechanics.

to the people arguing about whether ability modifiers stack or not:
if they're not explicitly typed, then they don't stack.
If one has a type and the other doesn't, or they both have different types, then they stack.
See >>51479278 for linked citations.
>>
>>51479296
3pp is as unbalanced if not more so than Paizo's own stuff, which is why I would rather ban 3pp stuff from games because I can work around the imbalances of the core game
>>
>>51479296

I really dislike gestalt. I used to think it was neat but now it is just a chore to do.
>>
>>51479296
Is disliking PoW still considered unpopular?
>>
>>51479255
Because they don't adventure alone and there happen to be adventurers of both sexes. Put down as much legislation as you want, workplace relationships will always happen.

Also working to add more utility talents to spheres, things like shadowboxing and read the rhythm should help with that.

That's just being factually incorrect.

So for the Assassins game is it too odd of a backstory to have my assassin only recently arrive on Golarion?

The idea is he lived on Somal, Golrion's Moon, in the City of the Faceless. He recently scrounged up enough money by raiding the moon scar to purchase a Greater Teleport off the moon down to Golarion.

His entire back story would have been in the weird halls of the penal colony in and out of half-fiend 'entertainment' houses doing dirty work for the abyssal folks there. The City of the Faceless seems like it'd be a rough place.

It would also be how he got his symbiote, during a trip into the Moonscar he would have been infected.

Does that sound too stupid?
>>
>>51479300
If They didn't want the bonus to stack, they should have made it typed.

As is, that FAQ reads "we fucked up and don't want to admit it, so we'll claim untyped bonuses weren't explicitly intended to stack instead of telling players to stop trying to cheese".

So! How was your weekend, /pfg/? Do anything fun or exciting, game-related or otherwise?
>>
>>51479419
I had assumed that the person dragging it into the new thread was the person making wild, bullshit claims. That was not in fact the case, so my bad. At the same time, why bother pulling shit to the new thread when it's wrapped up on the old one?
>>

>>51479129
I've not played an Evil game yet.
>>
>>51479454
well, in case you didn't see it and moved to the new thread
I had hoped it would eludicate and clear up any misunderstanding or doubt of the rules that the other guy had and you needing to look it up

> Rubio would probably rub Corwin the wrong way

Nah, Corwin's seen some shit, but he still loves tales of adventure and heroism as much as anyone; because that's what war is truly like.

His experience must have been abnormal; they wouldn't make war sound cool and shit if it really sucked? Would they?
>>
>>51479296
I hate familiars, animal companions, summons... I have enough to manage with my own character now you want me to keep track of 2/3 to a whole other character? Fuuuuck that.
>>
>>51479599

Seems to me like Corwin and Casimir might get along real well, considering they've both seen combat and know what it means to be on the battlefield.

>>
>>51479774
You are right they are outright moronic and show a very shallow understanding of the game and how to enforce balance and forcing anyone wanting to get into the game in earnest to make four different characters in order to hopefully do one archetype the best, or to gamble on being the best in one specific archetype. How do you consider this reasonable design?
>>
>>51479380
Any thoughts on this?
>>
>>51479777
Yeah, but I haven't posted today, and now my players know I'm procrastinating!
>>51479797
Just some introductions.
Essie and Omza are chatting, Amandia's listening to a story from Shizuka, Kyler is in awe of the crowd. Shoarn hasn't posted yet.
Ossana and Beriaden had a conversation - they knew each other from Magnimar. Shanna's chilling on a roof, Takaonna's hanging out with the crowd, Nico's making a delivery to an inn.
>>
>>51479828
One application per player. I don't think the GM wants everybody applying for every slot. I think they want people applying for one.
>>
>>51479847
That is even worse.
>>
>>51479876

Then don't apply, fuckface.

How many iterations have your characters gone through?

Onryou used to be part of a traveling exorcist team that got ripped to shreds by a powerful demonic cat. She then limped into varisia training in martial arts to try to prevent that from ever happening again.
>>
>>51479840
I'm honestly kinda disappointed Rubio and Omza didn't end up getting in on the same party. Would have been fun to see the love triangle play out.
>>
>>51479847
The one application wasn't earlier, until it was pointed out that you had to write 4 characters to have a chance.

That said, he's now just changed it to encourage 11th hour applications. There's no reason to apply until the last second, because you have a better chance if you apply in the least-wanted slot. Doesn't matter if you want to defend it, it's pretty awful for anyone who wishes to actually play.
>>
>>51480071

Oh hush, I want to play Guts and Ranger and I will apply to both.
>>
>>51480059
Lookin' kinda Mileena there.

I used something similar to Rubio in an urban game, but ducked out early before he really got rolling. Not a great loss, the GM was kind of a dick.
>>
>>51480088

Part of the original reference was Mileena Maw. I even asked for it. Odd how the picture i use more ended up not having it. at least not as prominent.
>>
>>51480087
Then do so close to the deadline? I'm just saying. His system has encouraged you to hold your cards until the end. If you don't show your hand until he has to pick, then no one can try to pull the rug out from under you. He's actively encouraged being a shitbag. Embrace it.
>>
>>51479129
This is your reminder that if you want SoM to be a book where martials actually get nice and/or impressive things out of combat at high levels, leave a comment on the doc to say so. People are already coming out of the woodwork on that doc to stop martials from having nice things.
>>
>>51480146

Are you implying I'm not able to beat even later applicants due to merit?

I'm saying you have a better chance if you see all of the competition first. You're basically being handed the option to look at your opponent's playbook.
If you think that you can outwrite literally anyone else, regardless of applicant, experience or skill, go for it.
But I somehow doubt it.

No, because not every game has absurd requirements, where two similar characters cannot be in the same party, because the GM is anal.

This game, in specific, encourages that though. At no point am I ever referring to talking about a grander scope than this game. Or any game that says "I have these 4 slots. These are your creation rules for each slot. I have types. If you fulfill my types, you probably get in. BUT, you can only apply to one of them!"
>>
>>51480299
>I'm new to this, how do DEX characters actually deal damage?

In particular, if your DM allows 3rd party feats, Deadly Agility from Path of War gives dex to damage with no frills.

Other than that, look elsewhere for sources of damage like sneak attack.

Alright for paizo melee finesse damage you have vigilante, unchained rogue, or feat chains with very specific weapons, you also will want to take, Piranha Strike, vigilante will be your best bet if you want to do damage, as their finesse option well not giving you dex to damage will give you class level to damage instead. Unchained rogue will give you dex and a half damage on weapons you two hand however. And Piranha Strike is your version of power attack.

Gunslinger 1/Fighter 3/Paladin 6
Mysterious Stranger is Cha to damage with a deed
Which I could just not use.

Trench Fighter gives the range progression feats and dex to damage in 3 levels.

Divine Hunter gives a couple range feats as well as the regular paladin stuff.

Had level 10 starting wealth 62,000

+6 cha headband, +2 cha for human and +2 from levels 28 charisma. +9 Damage

Belt of dex put me up to 20 dex, +5 Damage

Always fighting demons so smite is almost never not an option. Only a couple times a day but shit, I did 200 damage to a big demon fucker that for what its worth was smashing me in the face.

Shit just snowballed. He just sent us mythic as well. All said with mythic rapidshot with fleet charge its 6 attacks, which was definitely too much.

Feel bad for overshadowing, just want to go back to a caster and debuff stuff.

>>51480059
My first attempt at a pathfinder character was when I was brand spanking new to the system, and I was trying to see if I could have a doll companion through which I could channel magic to attack with, or if there were any similar magical things to that. At the time, I couldn't figure it out, and the best I was getting was "yea you need 3pp and lots of refluffing for anything like that". Shit got scrapped and consolidated into the alchemist I'm playing right now.

Mechanically, still don't have what I was looking for, which sucks.

Speaking as a team member, there's just some things magic can do that punching can't; you can't really summon something in a marital fashion, you can't really teleport in a martial fashion, and other things like that.

While the talents are probably a touch weaker, we might make up for this with doing more talents, as there's a lot of discussion going on about balancing things the proper way.
>>
>>51480766

Isn't Isekai where the main character is an outsider?
>>
>>51480830
Summoning I can buy, but no teleportation? Is that just long range, or short range too, because flash-stepping is a thing even 1pp martials can get. By which I mean monk. Monk can flash-step.

If it's couple of times a day you are what you could consider a glass canon. By mythic standards that is nothing unusual. At least you aren't firing out sure-kill spells that devastate half a nation in a single fireball or break the sound barrier as a barbarian.
>>
>>51480830
>you can't really teleport in a martial fashion

You're equating capabilities and methods, though. You don't have the method of teleportation, at least long-range, but you can still have the capability of fast long-range travel with things like Hulk jumping.
>>

>>51480460
Well, at level 15, the wizard can create demiplanes, locate anything the gods themselves don't hide, open holes that dump anyone there into an actual hell (temporarily) bind herald-level outsiders to service or assume the form of an elder dragon. Some of those s/he can do in a few seconds.

A martial at a comparable level of power should be akin to a mythic creature, because this is what his peers are doing at that level. If the wizard can create a wall of solid iron in 6 seconds, I can expect a warrior of similar power to be able to make a hole in it in comparable time.
>>
>>51480760

Britain is a Muslim country and the mythology should and must reflect that, get over losing the demographics war, grow up, and maybe you'll find a girl willing to get within twenty feet of your tiny white junk.

>A martial at a comparable level of power should be akin to a mythic creature, because this is what his peers are doing at that level. If the wizard can create a wall of solid iron in 6 seconds, I can expect a warrior of similar power to be able to make a hole in it in comparable time.

Monks are martial characters though, not mages. Sure, they have access to magical abilities, but you can't say "Teleportation doesn't belong in Spheres of Might," because Monk is a class that does belong in Spheres of Might and it can teleport.

If we are speaking purely mechanically, teleportation mastery allows a fighter (or another martial) to use a similar ability as long as they have the right magic item.

There is also the wizard VMC for the teleportation subschool, but that to me fluffwise means the character has at least some arcane training.

I think Thor is at least partly an office in the Marvelverse. Mjolnir's original inscription was "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
>>
>>51480987
>Why is Thor suddenly a title and not a person?

Thor is both a title and a name. Previously Thor was Thor, but then temporarily Thor was not Thor but was only Thor, and someone else was Thor for a while.

It's a callback to old comics where anyone else who is worthy to use the hammer could potentially gain a copy of Thor's powers while using it.

>>51481003
>although we're trying to keep the mythic stuff to legendary talents

Ugh, please no. Pretending that a martial character being able to do cool things is "unrealistic", while acting like a spellcaster character being able to create demiplanes or lift castles with their mind, is just repeating Paizo's shitty treatment of martials, and kills the entire point of having an SoM book in the first place.

A level 10 or 15 or whatever character is ALREADY the equivalent of real-world myths and legends. A level 10 wizard can summon angels. A level 10 alchemist can turn into a knockoff version of the Hulk. Why can't a level 10 guy without magic do comparable

The only way I'm going to use the final version of this book is if I can make an SoM character who's at least roughly comparable to what an SoP character can do, even at high levels.

Here is Bloodforge: Infusions: Esoteric Energies:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/gq9dsp

Of particular note in this document is the new Mixed Blood trait, which replaces the Mixed Blood feat from the original Bloodforge 1. It is now considerably easier to count as just about any type or subtype you desire, while gaining bonuses out of it. This means that you can pick up feats like Altered Life, Unnatural Vitality, Vestigial Wings, and/or Aerial Wings far more easily now.

If you enjoy this product, consider purchasing it on the Dreamscarred Press website when it becomes available there.

>>
>>51481164

Well, at the time it came in, every class was getting flunkies and a base at some level. It was probably leftovers from D&D's wargaming roots.

That said,if the martial is a champion in an army or warband, then chances are they are trained how to fight together with other warriors, so the leadership aspect of the training is baked in. A soldier, knight, barbarian etc might have it - not strictly because they are martials, but because they are warriors.

Not every warrior might have that, naturally - a master duelist or assassin probably would not. Then again, not every great wizard might care for necromancy or illusions.

You can say the issue is that the power scale on which we set the classes is different for warriors and (full) casters. If level 15 is to really mean something, level 15 characters of all classes should be roughly comparable in how epic and incredible their exploits are.
>>
>>51481254
>>51481271
Note there are 13 Int skills normally.

That's a total bonus of +54 at level 1 vs +6 for skill focus at level 10.

Or maybe go into the Moonscar, go into the abyss, fight through the abyss to the world wound and fight his way out of the world wound.

You'd have to be retarded not to go for the teleport option.
>>
>>51481248
I don't want spells, I just don't want martials shackled to a system that spellcasters get to ignore.

If the spellcaster can fly, the martial should at least be able to Jump Good and leap over huge chasms without a problem.

If the spellcaster can breathe underwater, the martial should be able to hold his breath for hours while fighting his way through a sunken city.

If the spellcaster can summon minions, the martial should be able to round up capable warriors and use his sheer presence and might to exhort them into performing deeds they'd normally find impossible.

If the spellcaster can create pocket planes, the martial should be able to tear open planar boundaries with sheer might.

If the spellcaster can slow time to a crawl, the martial should be able to move so Goddamn fast that he can keep up anyway.

Because these are issues we wish to gate off for previously stated reasons. We're attempting to do unique things with martial characters here, and part of that involves working within the balance we're attempting to meet.

I'm going to copy what I said in the GitP thread to tell you what my ideal design goals are here:

"I can only speak for myself here, but really, this is to give martial characters more in combat options aside from full attacks. While we're also looking to give out of combat options, in combat options are the majority of what we're looking to do here. We've talked about doing things for out of combat stuff more, but we're really looking to make combat more dynamic. Scoundrel can throw sand in the eyes, make an attack, steal the weapon from an attack, and smack them with it all in the same round. That's not hyperbole, that's the dirty mugging talent and the counter theft talents; two talents which could be done from first level if needed."

Legendary talents allow you to do things outside of the normal bounds, that's their design goal. If that doesn't work for you, then it seems you may not like SoM. That's fine, we already know the system won't be for everyone, and it seems like what you want is outside of the scope of what we're designing.

Could give them the ability to inspire eachother, debuff enemies, control battlefield positioning. Take away some of the power casters have monopolized so you can give it to martial classes and make them unique veins of the same system, and with spheres this even gives you the option do to hybrids like a red mage that can do both but not as well as someone focused.

Let's go through the Labors of Heracles!
1. Slay the Nemean Lion.
2. Slay the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra.
3. Capture the Ceryneian Hind.
4. Capture the Erymanthian Boar.
5. Clean the Augean stables in a single day.
6. Slay the Stymphalian Birds.
7. Capture the Cretan Bull.
8. Steal the Mares of Diomedes.
9. Obtain the girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons.
10. Obtain the cattle of the monster Geryon.
11. Steal the apples of the Hesperides.
12. Capture and bring back Cerberus.
So point out which one a Pathfinder caster /can't/ do.
>>

"How am I supposed to kill this monstrous lion that can't be harmed with normal weapobs? Oh, I guess I'll just fly and cast negative energy spells on it"

It's not about "can win in an arm wrestle", it's about what the character can do in play.

Frankly? They are not that is one of the biggest issues with pathfinder. That is why you should not try to balance martials on that scale and instead make more grounded options that function together and ignore Paizo casting.
Alternatively, you find a gm that will actually make using spells on such things not always optimal by having checks throughout the day, using combats in the same day as other checks multiple combats per day, spells per day are meant to be a limiting factor without them casters will spiral out of control.
Tldr
Do not let the casters dictate the terms of what will happen.
>>
>>51481773
He had to get the apples of the Hesperides, for which he had to bypass a dragon. Atlas could do that, but he couldn't, so he took over holding the sky so Atlas would get the apples, then tricked Atlas into taking the sky back. A wizard could just teleport past the dragon.
>>
>>51481730
Yeah, and that's what I'd like to see for SoM, though apparently it's not going to happen. We already have a million and one ways in 1pp and 3pp for martials to kill gooder, we don't need yet another book adding yet more ways to say "roll an attack and inflict damage and a status debuff that probably won't even work against high level monsters".

That was so Atlas could bring him the Apples, which the Wizard could do himself with either Mage Hand, an AMF on the tree, conjuring a construct or undead, or what have you.

Eh, depends which of his feats. Many are about him defeating various monsters or human armies, definitely doable for a powerful martial character.

There are a few that are more arcane, but it could be explained by how the world there works. Very few are truly impossible for a high-level Pathfinder character.

This is what we're trying to do; we want to give you the cinematic combat experience.

I recognize not everyone loves what we're doing here, and we're doing our best to listen to your commentary, but it's important that our design goals be known, and it's not to make martial wizards (I mean kinda with legendary talents, but it's not the base goal). We want to make combat enjoyable without large numbers being the only resort, and we want you to be able to make characters based off of whatever theme you want from the start of the game.
>>

How acceptable is it for a villain or monster to just want more power for its own sake/for the sake of being able to conquer more efficiently?

I feel that, having read through a few APs, a lot of Paizo's writers are trying too hard to find motivation for villains--not all of them need some secret love for the PCs to find out about in the last 10% of the campaign, and really, they'd be just as interesting as characters if not more so if they just were power-hungry.

Then your original argument holds no ground either, since neither can Mythic characters fight against full on Gods since the rules are against them.

Meaning any of those accomplishments of Hercules fighting gods do not count in the argument period, since they happened merely through GM Fiat/houserule since those rules do not exist in PF naturally.

See, you've just refuted your own argument you stupid bastard.

Further, the sky thing itself also cannot be emulated by mythic either, unless you rule the Sky to incorporeal, in which case Wizards have things like Ghost Touch and magics that affect incorporeality.

And this is without going into discussion about powerlevel of the Greek Gods does not necessarily equate to those of the PF Gods

>>51482043
You can get immunity to poisons through magic. The Apple's curse did not affect people grabbing the apples after they were already plucked if you recall as well, so yeah mage hand and similar effects would keep you safe.

Also, considering its either a Planar ally if you are feeling generous, or a Planar Binding where you can strong-arm and outsider to do what you want, the chances of them going "nuh uh" when Heracles was able to convince Atlas with a simple Diplomacy check is completely retarded, considering that such diplomatic ability is neither mythic nor exclusive to any specific character class or ability, and in fact Wizards can even buff their capability to use such things. And that's ONLY if a typical Summon Monster outsider doesn't work either.

>Examples include:
>Champion Spirit Attunement Item: Warlord's Band: grants a number of extra combat feats when attuned. Least grants 1, Lesser grants 2, Greater grants 3, Grand grants 4. All of them are very expensive but will allow a Medium who focuses on the Champion spirit to be extremely versatile.
>Archmage: Rod of the Grand Wizard: Least grants two spells from the Archmage's Lesser power instead of 1, and adds +1 to DCs with spells gained from that power. Lesser, Greater, and Grand increases the DC by +2, +3, and +4 respectively.

Those are just examples. I need to eat something and will come back later.

Question for y'all: why do we not see as much Medium, Spiritualist, Mesmerist, or Occultist homebrew as we do Kineticist? All those other classes are also pretty ripe for brewing and could end up pretty neat.

Well, or you just bring a tower shield. If you use a tower shield to provide full cover, that protects you from the emanation of Antimagic Field, so you can cast normally!

>Medium
Because we're all depressed about the cocktease bait n switch between the glorious Harrow deck playtest medium, and the one that made it to print so that the totally balanced elemental bending kineticist could fit in the book.
>Spiritualist
Because it's pretty balanced and fits it's niche nicely as is. Though I've got.. Ideas... about the possible uses of the Shadow Caller archetype.
>Mesmerist
Tricks are a slightly funky mechanic, and overall the theme is already well played. That and personally Mesmerists seem much better suited for a social or cloak and dagger heavy game, which we don't do a lot of here in /pfg/.

I never fucking implied that you half-baked troll, I merely sated that Wizards did readily have the capability to do so. Whether they care about the consequences fall effectively under the same veneer of roleplaying as Heracles going ahead and freeing Prometheus or getting drunk with those centaurs without caring about the consequences.

Seriously, what even is your argument anymore? Are you just retardedly moving goalposts to the point that your only option to defend yourself is to rely on a horribly bastardized version of the Stormwind Fallacy? Because honestly that is stupid, pathetic, and is not an actual defence of your position since it bears literally no bearing at all to the current discussion topic. I seriously hope you never join a debate team or attempt to defend a doctoral thesis, because doing this shit would get you laughed right out of the room.

Honestly, if you don't actually have anything to support your position, it'd be best if you stopped talking entirely and save yourself the embarrassment of showing off how much of a drooling retard you are.

You're not using your noggin', remember that deities are allowed to function in batshit ways. Lolth can impregnate Iomedae, kill her, and Lolth's vicious evil godbabies will still gestate in the dead god's magical belly until it's time for them to emerge.

Lolth would totally do that, don't even pretend otherwise.

Basically, Pathfinder's default guns suck so hard that most of Gunslinger's class features go towards just trying to un-suck them, instead of actually doing anything interesting with them.

Personally I think the Medium is ripe for homebrew material, almost to the level that the Kineticist is. It's got Monk-levels of fluffy abilities that can be traded away for useful stuff to focus the class more, while also being "versatile" in the sense that it's VERY strategically versatile but not tactically versatile (i.e it's very good at changing up day to day but inflexible during the day). I also miss the Harrow Medium and wish we could've seen it but from the Playtest doc I've got, it seems to be even MORE fiddly than the release Medium is.

Occultist is one of my favorite classes. There don't seem to be many new implement powers coming out, and it'd be nice to see implements based off of things other than the schools of magic: i.e a "Bardic" implement that lets you get a limited form of bardic performance, or a "shadow" implement focused on rogue-y stuff.

>>51479296
I think the Medium is pretty fun and should get more 3pp and homebrew support.
>>
>>51481391
They need to be things that the martials can do, as those are extremely important gamechangers that don't "make the caster unique" but rather make everything without them obsolete.

And within the setting a lot of them ARE naturally evolved abilities anyways, strange as that may sound.

Nobody expects the fighter to follow you INTO a jump-point and blow you up from the inside, much as that fucked over the Sol/Delta-Serpentis node, but that's exactly what happened.
>>
>>51482508

Those are succubi anon.

Also who's got the Minos race stats on hand?
>>
>>51482355
The gestalt is so I don't have to deal with party dynamics. It's more likely someone will be able to have some amount of healing and everyone can have thematically Assassin/Rogueish character. More flexibility rather than power, at least that's how I view it. I'm rather new to Gestalt.
>>
>>51482528
First and foremost cost, guns are way overpriced, then you have the issue of misfires, and after that reloading. You can do better damage from a longer range with a long bow, and with significantly less investment.

There also is, for me at least, that any itches or urges I get involving the Medium I can usually get by going over to pact magic.
That in and of itself is another factor, given how knee-jerk the reaction to pact magic currently is due to the writers being unable to keep their dicks outta the book.

Medium's problem is that the default way you have to attune spirits depends 100% on if your character is in the right location that way.

Friends let us look at DHB's newest character.

>Name
Akorian No last name, apparently azlanti naming convention doesn't have last names
>Class
symbiotic slayer/warsighted
>memeable backstory
Born is Azlanti's old moon colony and joined a street gang, became a mutant assassin for a demon and got a sweet demon girlfriend, betrayed the street gang, then betrayed the demon, kill the demon, left with family for Golarion. Fucked demon girlfriend.

Let's look at his fucking character art.

Look at this swag bastard for example.
>>
>>51482528
The problem is guns, and a class literally written to simply mitigate their deliberately-designed flaws, rather than to make them good.

>no stat to damage: just like crossbows
>EXTREMELY expensive. The better guns can easily reach into the "+2 magical weapon" price range, and all you're getting for it is to shoot more than once without a reload and a bit more range. The ammo is near sickening: even crafted for 10% of cost it's still able to add up to several HUNDRED times a single arrow. A round of shooting costs more arrows than an entire campaign will.
>easily fucked: There are several spells and effects that came with the gun rules designed to completely fuck them over with a single cast. And that's not counting "save or all your powder goes off"
>>
>>51482606

I'm not even that guy, but there's an important lesson to learn here, and that trying to argue something on the internet may result in trolls not actually reading what you say but instead gaining pleasure from eliciting a negative emotional response from you, and that you should consider whether the time spent constructing an argument to refute their single line of greentext is appropriate.

>Waaaagh, the original scenario in the mythologies doesn't support my viewset, so I'm going to arbitrarily change shit
You are a special kind of faggot.

Never in the mythology was the tree ever described to have such a capability. Further, there's also the point of>>51481988 and even if it ALSO has a mythic contact poison, which is retarded bucause now we are completely removed from the original subject we were discussing, chances are even Atlas would have had to have gambled a will save against picking it, which he woud never have knowingly done.

The only way this could've worked is if the True was properyl death-poisoned to insanity, and some how handwaved that even mythic magic couldn't affect, and that it could only be taken from the tree via DM driven plot device, fiat, and macguffins, which removes the entire point of the argument completely.
