I am studying biotechnology so I guess something related to living organisms or druidism. Maybe a scholar/wizard/alchemist in training focusing on the application of magic to the living matter and the influence of living matter on magic. I pay the bills as a professional canvasser/charity fundraiser right now, which I guess means I'm an annoying low-level cleric who pesters the PCs for alms for the poor.

Based on that and some other personality traits, I'm the eclectic sage the party meets halfway through the journey. Both of my parents were mages, proto-artificers (enchanters?), I'm an artificer in earnest. My older brother is an Expert, my other two brothers are bards, and my sister is a divination mage.
I probably do work for merchants (my parents took levels in Aristocrat when Dad's buisiness went well) or be up to inherit/extend the family buisiness and sell swords to adventurers that get themselves killed and ask for impossibly low prices.
