There's a lot of great designs (and some...less than great, to put it lightly) in there, but one common thing that really sticks out to me; the ones with makeup of any kind look less appealing. All of the ones with lipstick would look infinitely better without it (excluding Edgy Princess, since she's gotta have it to complete the look). The cute designs don't look right with slutty lips and eyeliner at all, when compared to others nearby without it.

That said, there's a LOT of unused characters. Shame we couldn't have used them instead of making new ones for the newer charts. Not that I don't like the new ones, of course.

The /trash/ gen is pretty fun, though. It's a new project that's recieved art like DD and Anonymoo, and they've been working at such a fast pace churning out and constantly revising a consistent art style.

I'm just a nameless anon who's been following quietly for a while, now, but I think I'll speak up on some of the things I've noticed going on, again.

I feel it's alright if we're just taking older, cruder art and touching it up, but we should leave charts completed in the past as they are. I understand the sentiment of wanting to change past Princesses to appeal to the current majority, but they turned out the way they did for one reason or another that made sense at that time. We should instead be focusing on moving forward while learning from the past rather than trying to "correct" it.

Content is content in my opinion, though I do believe it should be met with some degree of scrutiny, as well. If someone is willing to spend the time, energy, and resources into expanding upon Towergirls and then share the fruits of their labor, I say reserve judgment until they've spoken their piece.

My sentiments probably don't aline with the majority, but I feel we've been stuck on one Princess (Gemini) and the Companion chart for far too long. I think we may need to put the latter on hold until we can accumulate enough arted cards to fill it out, and I think we may need to consider either redesigning Gemini or switching her out for another Princess altogether. In the event of a redesign, I suggest we keep the "two personalities in one body that shifts with the dominant" aspect while removing the "multi-limb and part mixing" one since that seemed to me to be the part that was giving her the most trouble within the community.

/Trash/ thread is doing good work, they have got their own thing going on over there and doing it in their own way. New art style, new card style, princesses that would not fit in normal towergirls but good in their own way. We are not competing against each other, so sharing accomplishments is fun. The only thing I would say is that they may not need to update us so often, but honestly that is probably happening because we have not had our own progress in awhile. If we were moving along, I would say it would be neat to see updates whenever they hit major milestones.

What exactly makes them any different than everything made here? I'm having difficulties really noticing any differences aside from a few more snouts on some princesses and some memes. And even that stuff isn't really all that different, since we're not very short on scalies like Snake and the Kobolds, and have some memes and 3rd party references like Wii Fit and Isabelle from Animal Crossing.

Their art style is a little larger / more detailed whereas traditional towergirls is more in the chibi form. All the normal towergirl princesses generally fit on the template outline of the card.

They also have more furry princesses whereas ours tend to have more humanish faces in a majority of the cases.

Lastly, we usually try to keep our references more low key. Symbiote Princess is obviously Venom inspired but is not trying to actually be Venom, trying to be its own thing. The exceptions being Wii Fit and Isabelle but we want to fix that by creating a cameo gen eventually to hold them since they are the outliers.

Hey, all I know is I browse Trash just about every other night, and I distinctly remember the who reason why they stated making their own threads is because they felt that everything after Gem III was non canon, that /tg/ was too shit at making tower girls, and they they wanted to do their own because they believed that none of the new ones are it will be good.

And the very subject that got their knickers in a twist, was the Holstaur Princess controversy.

Personally, I had no problems with Holstaur. Yeah it sucks that she was the one that had to carry the futa stick, meaning I was out my lactation princess, but at least they still provided insane options to change it, and then later gave us Gator Princess, and hopefully Buffalo in the IV Expansion to fulfill that itch.

Plus either way, we were going to have to have at least one futa princess, especially considering we've had weirder fetishes already, and the fact that it was going to happen sooner or later considering how much cross-board pollination there has been and is between /tg/ and /d/
