>Name

A tiny Beserker in Combat, cutting up enemies with her swords. The bizzare cartoon helmet she wears seems to boost her awareness, benefiting her already enhanced strength and speed. Outside the battlefield her silence and child like nature unerve most, mainly because they dont want to think about her origins. The fact she'll gleefully follow orders to kill dosnt help.

>Name: Song "Iron Hammer" Li Hyoon
>Abilities and Personality: Former monk arrested and severely wounded in the neo-Chinese takeover of the korean peninsula. Became a Gokudo enforcer in prison and was rewarded with an augment to replace his mangled arm. Li Hyoon is a master of the Thirty Tigers style of Taekkyon and uses it to great effect in combination with his cyberwear to reduce his syndicates enemies to little more than bloody smears

>Name: K:9-4154
>Abilities and personality: K:9 is the result of early attempts by GenTeCorp to produce not-technically-human bioweapons to skirt laws regarding treatment of soldiers. Her model generation stood on an unfortunate midground, not as feral and intractable as the early genelines, but not as intelligent and able to follow orders as later GTC dog soldiers. Her model line eventually fell out of use and she was forced into running the underground to survive. K:9's origins as an animalistic bioweapon show in both her personality and her fighting style. Exoarmor mounted on her biosteel chassis gives her protection she needs to get up close and personal and savage her enemies, one of the few things that bring her joy in life

Colonel Leblanc
USA
6.1" 184cm
age:41
Served in a weapons testing complex. After some botch secret military testing, became an electric elemental.

Armour with enhanced movement ability and slight defence. The suit mainly serves to contain him and his powers so he doesn't fade out of existence. Can use devastating electrical attacks. Can repower generators. etc etc Builds electricity over time that he needs to release or else he becomes walking EMP bomb. If he uses all his power he risks fading out of existence.

46
Masao Takeda
Age:34
Jap
5.11" (1.80 cm)
Prefers the blade to the gun. Even if that gets him in trouble most of the time. Slight mechanical modifications that make his legs and his left arm stronger than a normal human.
Almost bulletproof to small arms (9mm) but anything bigger might go through. Has a weak thermal and optical camouflage system. He is mostly used as a scout and never if rarely engages in direct combat. While his sword is te main weapon, he also has, daggers, HE,flash, gas grenades.

>plz no bully.

Rolled 91, 93, 16, 96 = 296 (4d100)

LETS GO BOIS
>>
16 - Definitely looks like some kind of Villain, judging by the skull. I can’t tell if he’s wearing a mask, or if he just has a weird face. He shall be AMBASSADOR BISHOP. He’s kinda tall and lanky, so he definitely isn’t a combat character, so I assume he’s the diplomat of the group. Maybe he has some kind of dark space magic? I don’t know. Cruel, Calculating, but has a strange fondness for ridiculous space fashion.

91 - This guy is totally some kind of military robot. He’s gonna be R-SEN-L, a combat droid made to escort and protect valuable information. Coded to be paranoid and untrusting. Can only speak from a list of 30 to 40 pre-recorded sentences. Doesn’t understand these new millennial ‘laser weapons’.

93 - An alien, and judging by his gauntlets, he’s a melee fighter. His skin is grey, and looks kind of rock-like, so I’m going to assume he’s a rock alien to explain his lack of gut armour. He’ll be CARRAG, who looks like a really rough and tough guy, but enjoys the finer things in life, such as a fine glass of wine, a walk on an intergalactic beach, and completely destroying a man’s skull with one punch.

96 - Oh boy, this fucker is definitely the ‘cool dude’ of the party. He’ll be known as GORRE, who uses his sword to cleave enemies. The sword also fires the occasional grenade, because that’s what I think that green ball is. He has a good mind for strategy, but is often ridicule because of his ridiculously large sword.

Rana Anura
Age?
Height: 4.1 feet 125cm

Gene splicing bullshit? Alien from a far galaxy? No one knows. This frog-like creature doesn't speak any known language but seems to understand everything people say. Don't be mislead by his height or width. Extremely powerful legs that help jump great distances. Uses mighty jumps and strikes with hammer for massive damage. Hammer seems to be more than meets the eye but Rama slaps everybody with his tongue if they dare touch it. Powerful tongue thats about 5 meter longue. Can be use to trap and tie up enemies.

49
Hans (no other known alias)
age:unknown
Height:6.6 feet, 2 meter
Speaks and very harsh robotic german. No one is sure if he's a full fledge robot or if theres a semblance of humanity in that hard robot shell.
Incredibly resilient. Can and has survive massive explosions. Anything under .300 caliber will leave no marks. Very slow but can get to very frightening speed if given the time and room to run. (see a real life moose) Axe is much heavier than it would seem yet Hans swings it around with ease. Axe isnt that sharp but the sheer blunt power of Hans compensates for that entirely.

Umar Thorne
Born in Jamaica, Now resides in the US of A
Age: 34
Height 6 feet 182cm
Serious when it's time to fight, Loud mouth funny man the rest of the time. Lower body and right arm were torn off in an explosion in his home country when he was twenty during the Carribean war. Military company was looking for severe cases of amputees to test new range of modern prosthesis. Being a poor jamaican kid with nothing to lose, he accepted. Becoming, at the same time, the proprety of the mercenarry company.
Weapon contains 6 revolving chambers that contain high explosive shells. Friteghning weapon to hold and shoot. But Umar seems unphased when shooting.

Erica Blanch likes to think of herself as less of a romantic than the typical person that stuffs an android body full of after market military mods until it can successfully bring a sword to a gunfight. She doesn't bother with acrobatics or dodgy stealth, just overpowered limbs and disposable bodies to chop until she fell.

John Carington was a pretty good husband, albeit distant, and a decent corporate soldier before he stepped on a land mine. When he was given new legs the price was participation in off record operations at un-listed facilities, where he excelled. Having since made an exit from that line of work, he does not wish to return.

>>
The real question is, what greater arc interconnects this colourful cast of characters?
>>
>>51447021
Here's my pitch >>51446401
I'm thinking futuristic Dynasty Warriors in Third World countries. Your team of 4 are master mercs of the battlefield, and while they're fighting there's hundreds of Allah Akbar militants and tribal fighters and private contractors running around the warzone
So basically the OP Picture is a Who's Who of the elite mercenary world

Cybernetics and nanofabricarion have revolutionized life across classes, though things remain imbalanced. While a working person can enjoy consumer cybernetics and even the increased security they can provide, but corporate and fanatical violence is increasingly careless in light of the same. 'The singularity' for whatever it was worth, might have happened, or even crashed and burned a couple times over, and that would best account for the legions of dazed absurdities wandering the cities and ruins of the world wide development. The space frontier is just opening, and humanity is seeing what seems like a new Wild West/age of the sail spring to life with a new vigor brought by the ever hardy cyborg humans.

Kshithiraj Raman
or Vihaan Raman if it turns out that thing is a girl.
Age:17
Young indian boy who found himself orphan when he displayed unnatural pyschic abilities which left his brother dead. Coming from a poor and very religious part of India, his family and village soon cast him out thinking he was possess by an evil spirit.

Wandering the country side and the cities of India he looked for jobs and a way to live. At the age of 15 he was cornered by a gang of thugs that was causing problemes. While he was being pummeled to the ground his pyschic ability became unhinged once more and much stronger than before. Two of the gang members were thrown with an incredible force on the walls of the backstreet leaving only a bloody mess.
The others were a bit more "lucky".
The commotion attracted a lot of attention and the cops where soon on the scene. He was picked up and locked up in a cell. He was soon freed by a mysterious party who, upon hearing what happen, bribed the police officers and took the child under their "care".

After two years of training to control and harness his powers, Kshithiraj, or simply Raj, is now capable of using them to levitate himself, throw objects smaller than a car with a large force and even create a temporary kinetic forcefield around him. The suit serves to control and channel his power which, if left uncheck, might cause severe damage once more.

91 - Marrkian Siege Offensive Combat Unit, "Sock"
Remnant of a system-wide border dispute between rival corpocracies, bio-organic memory systems are rotting and the machine simply wanders the remains of a hollowed-out office block from a shelled city. Has long since run out of ammunition. Wanderers found it and flashed it a scavenged Marrk insignia, prompting the machine to believe it has in the presence of commanding officers, it travelled with them to replace its memory banks and return to company business. Built like a tank, has little tactical reasoning on its own and acts like a living shield that can hit back, hard.

38 - Threithus vos-Baren
Gladiatorial and wrestling champion, body-builder and weapons enthusiast, enrolled in an aristocratic militia and provided much of the weaponry from his personal armaments. Showman extraordinaire, has many physical augmentations to carry and use heavy weaponry for extended periods of time. Favourite tactic was to wear down the enemy with sheer brute force.

15 - Zesidh Madoré
High speed and deep space pilot, Zesidh's body was property of a defunct national military and was outfitted from the inside-out with many endurance and perception augmentations to withstand the rigours of high G-force flight, atmospheric re-entry and prolonged periods of deep space travel. Zesidh defaulted into a mercenary outfit and took shipping missions for many years, using the money to keep the augmentations up to date. Though not physically imposing, Zesidh is fast and can survive a lot damage. A natural lone wolf, Zesidh's greatest strength is zen-like patience, able to out-wait the enemy.

59 - Vurrgh
Castellan of a mutant keep on an nuclear wasteland in a lost system. All that remains on the harsh world are mutant warlords who have descended into barbarism, living a brutal life. Vurrgh was blessed with pretty standard mutation, but his right arm is a useless lump of unfeeling gristle, scarred from him using itas a shield.

Unfinished deformed clone of the Izaki corporation. They tried to get rid of him but he was much more resilient than first anticipated.

Now serves as tech merchant for most of the heroes. Need a new prosthesis? a cloaking device? He's got what you need.

His upper head is gruesome to look and has the intelligence of a todler. The lower face is the one in charge even if the body seems to responde to the top head. They oftentime get into petty vaudeville arguments, much to the dismay of the customer trying to buy something.

If he really needs a weapon, he could have a twin laser mounted on his right hand kind of like the one Ironman has in the movies.
It's a dense beam that lasts 3 seconds, cuts through most things but heavier steel and other metals will stop it. It needs to be manually reloaded with new ammo after one use.

Incapable of staying put for too long. Some may blame his short temper on a trouble past, or the high amount of caffeine he consumes everyday.
Equipped with a jump pack that was state of the art ten years ago, he his very mobile and can easily do short jumps to reach a height of 40 meters. (131 feet). His right hand as long been removed and replaced with a powerful retractable claw. He can use it to orient himself seemlessly when using his jump pack. Making him almost untouchable and very annoying for his adversaries.
The claw is quite powerful and can also be use as a weapon.
When flying, his left hand is mostly occupied firing a small modified pistol or throwing grenades around.

So BroQuest still has fans?
I tried asking this in the general CYOA thread but without luck. Maybe here it'll be different.

Does anyone know if descriptions were ever made for the later BroQuest characters (such as Peace Seeking Golem, Elven Enchantress, Mokey King etc.)?

Peitrov's Ghost
>Background
Originally a Ukrainian construction frame, it was discovered that they were just as useful in urban combat as they were at construction sites. Most of the "Heavy Hank" frames were destroyed during the fall of Ukraine, save for Heavy Hank 17 aka "The Warbird Killer", who was famed for sniping gunships from the air. After the war Heavy Hank was purchased by the estate of Peitrov, a famed Russian merc who was fried to near death by Colonel Leblanc. The charred body of Peitrov was installed in Heavy Hank 17, and one of the most deadly players in the internation merc game was born
>Abilities
Heavy armor coupled with an armor piercing cannon make Peitrov's ghost very adept at taking down large targets from a distance. The power core also enables the frame to throw around its weight in any close range melee situation

Isaac Banks aka Dragoon
>Background
Son of a wealthy Silicon Valley Technocrat, Isaac Banks spent much of his youth enacting doomsday scenarios with the other children of the West Coast Elite. Quickly falling into the habits of an adrenaline junky, Isaac went from doomsday prepping to combat simulations. It would be in these simulations that revealed his love of battle, and when third world countries across the globe began crumbling Isaac jumped at the chance to enter the fray. With his father's considerable fortune and access to the latest technology, Isaac quickly made a name for himself as Dragoon, The Unstoppable Lancer
>Abilities
His state of the art combat suit gives him unparalleled speed and protection. Dragoon's style is to get in close and impale enemies with his "Spear of Longinus", a strange weapon that pierces most armors and turns his enemies to ash. Dragoon is not well equipped to take on multitudes of enemies, preferring instead to hunt down elite targets. If need be however he can emit a pulse that will kill multiple unarmored targets and stun armored

Sardak N'orr
Alien lifeform from space sector G94
No one knows much about his species or what he's suppose to be. Only known member of his race. An alien would have caused mass hysteria 200 years ago, but now, with all the crazy stuff popping up and the unending proxy wars waged by crazier and crazier mercenarry groups, he's far from being the odd one out. Most of the other mercs prefer avoiding him and some have asked to be transfered elsewhere. Reason? Complaints about bad dreams and unintelligible whispers in the back of their heads driving them insane and paranoid.

Emits low frequency chirps to convey emotions and other reactions. Only way to communicate is by telepathy which he can use at a distance of 100 meters or less. Never walks. Floats. Unclear if it's a psychic ability or simply some gizmo in his suit. Although his hands are strong enough to squish a human skull with 4 times the necessary force,(4,000 pounds of force) he rarely gets into melee range.

His main abilities are fear and deception. If a target gets into range (less than 100 meters) he can play with the victims brain. Masking his presence to them for stealth, making them see horryfing things for moral attacks, making them see allies as foes for enemy friendly fire, etc etc
Can only use his ability on any number of people as long as they are within a 7 meter range of the first target.

Anatoliy Igramusk Sevchenko

A nuclear-powered throbbing mass of congealed (and imported) ReShiftâ„¢ High Impact Offensive nanobots moulded around the organic base that was once an Eastern Bloc strike team leader. Outfitted with highly tuned sensors, Anatoliy can hear a pin drop in the basement from his station at the top of a minister's tower. Personal bodyguard to Igor Maroushka, Anatoliy is the last line of defense if an attempt is made on the minister's life, equipped with top of the line, custom-built automatic pulse pistols that allow him to remain compact and lightweight, but able to spray targets in a wall of fire. Once, Minister Maroushka was kidnapped from his car in a corporate raid, and there are mercenaries who served in the operation who still tell horror stories of a red devil, tearing through men as bullets bounced harmlessly off its blood-red skin.

LVIII
Dominic Vaarmarten

A product of the decade-long African Collapse Crisis, Dominic is both a vision of human desperation and the incredible ingenuity of that period. Consisting of 99% bio-organic and purely technological parts, there are courts in which Dominic would be considered no longer human. His brain, spinal cord, lungs and heart are organic at their core, but heavily augmented and were transplanted through several artificial bodies. What little skin he has is purely cosmetic and is in fact from a previous body, having not yet been entirely replaced. Constructed for heavy labour, Dominic has also served stints in some of the last-minute militias that sprang up during times of especial unrest. His right arm encases a second internal computer and is a go-to medium between him and many types of machinery. It's also quite tough, but not as dextrous as the left arm, a problem he is looking into fixing.

TM3 Sen Xaoleng

An Asian Arc honour guard, a monk-blessed high-end AI inserted into a Mantis type body, Sen is stationed at the Lord's Gardens in south-central China, a summer home for one of Korea's indefinitely visiting Highest Authorities. Swift and nimble for its size, Sen dominates in close quarters combat and can take on upwards of three opponents at once. The wings do not provide flight, but vibrate at high frequencies, diminishing movement speed while deflecting most small arms fire while Sen moves in for the kill. Sen's sword has a monomolecular edge, making it capable of cutting through most things it comes across.

LIV
Tsivo Mabane

A manhunter from an African neo-noble's 'pleasure plain', Tsivo enjoys the high life due to his incredible skill and unorthodox weapon choice, preferring to gamble his shots, either one hit kill with his slow, but immensely destructive modified elephant gun, or to miss and chase down his quarry in hand-to-hand combat with his strength-modified forearms. His status allows him to choose his game, even breed and groom it when available, and he chooses only the most fitting sport. While lower manhunters choose to track and slay desperate street urchins or criminals, Tsivo chooses to hunt, for the pleasure of his gracious host and lord, hardened veterans, long-term thieves and captured generals. He will often feed them well, arm them, train them, or sometimes set them loose a day in advance. Sometimes he does none of these. For his self-defense, he also carries an assault rifle, but wears light armour, choose armour for its simple resilience while tracking.

XXVI: Scumbag. Lots of people in his homeland caught the virus, but Scumbag somehow works with it. He's not pleasant to look at, but his body bears and secretes a weaponized mucus for armor, weapons, or simply friends of his. He treats his virus as a symbiotic friend, though how much of that is a sentient mutation and how much is madness is unclear. Not contagious unless he wants to, but kind of shit when outnumbered or at long distance battles

LXVII. Jimbo. advanced race of alien snail. his suit is virtually unbreakable and generates forcefields, but it can be a bit unwieldy (waddles short distances, or rockets around in huge wild leaps). He's friendly and polite, but a real fish out of water, and doesn't get all of human culture and technology. When it comes to computers, he's quick to scoff it off as child's play and break into it in seconds

LXXX. Rogex Vau.some primitive but very powerful species. High heeling factor, which serves him well for a melee fighter and a survival expert. Ruthless and savage, just be glad that he thinks you're a part of his pack. Fairly simple, his word is his bond, and treachery is out of the question to him.

C. Maximum
A very advanced combat droid who claims to be the last model made before the big cataclysm. His head can detach as a drone, and can handle most weapons. He has some deeply-rooted programming that he isn't conscious of, which can make him suddenly open fire on seemingly random targets or act in strange ways at times.

Kassendre Laviolette "Black Mantis"
Born in France, to a belgian mother and a french father.
When she was 8, her family fled the country for Canada when the European civil war started.

During her teenage years in the outskirts of Montréal, she demonstrate higher than average, talents in agility and athletism. These talents led her to be recuited by the "Cirque du Soleil" where she would further enhance her abilities.

She was 21 and out of town when the the dirty bomb attacks on Montréal left most of the population including her friends and family dead. With Canada under martial law and full panic, she was unable to return home.
The mysterious agents of the Izaki corporation made themselves known at that time. Offered her a new life with her abilities. And a chance to get back at those who set off the bombs.

That was 5 years ago. Much as changed. She's now one of the elite assassins for the Izaki corporation.
Femme Fatale. Likes to toy around with her victims before going for the kill. Cold. Distant. Professional. Never lets anyone see her fail or get hurt. May act like a bitch but if you manage to break the shell, there's good stuff in there somewhere. (or she'll kill you)

Equipped with fifth generation cloaking device. This device is almost weightless and nigh undetectable which makes it the crown jewel of the Izaki Corporation's tech branch.
Both hand are equipped with small retractable poison blades that can be used for stealth kills or instantly switched to climbing gear to scale walls. Althought deadly, the blades are useless
Armour is state of the art and further boosts Kassendre natural agility.
Eyes are enhanced with optical gear similar to Adam Jensen in Deus Ex.

The two can work together to scale impossible heights, perform flanking assaults and collect intel in near silence.
>71
Marta Rosa Dominguez, age 33. Marta bided her time, made smart connections and saved her credits during her time as a Red Light District slave to eventually usurp her old pimp, start running the most successful pleasure house in H-Bloc, and get herself some sweet Augs. The Lady in Red has her mechanical fingers in many rich pies, and isn't afraid of slipping into a some megacorp mogul's hotel room or office after hours and shredding his reputation (or his body) herself. Not too scary an opponent on her own, but she's got plenty of willing, energetic young men with lots of guns willing to do whatever she wants.
>94
Mary "Silver Girl" McKinnon
Ex-military Aug soldier, Mary, 28, opted in for mechanical bones and synth muscle grafts so she could fire Anti-Tank weapons. "Silver Girl" is a chiding but affectionate nickname for those in her squad in reference to her uniform having so many commendations on it, as well as the mirror sheen she polishes her Anti-Material Thunderboltâ„¢ Railgun to. A bit on the rude side and a lone wolf, Mary'a just trying to make ends meet: and if that means shooting out a police mech from 3 miles out for some Runners with the cash to burn, so be it.
>63
Hopper isn't a name that you say at full voice in H-Bloc. Nobody knows who he rolls with anymore, but they've heard the stories: one minute you're funneling some cash through another gang's turf, the next minute there's a seven foot, augged-out freak falling from the sky, impaling your buddy on a mono-sword as long as he is. Some people say he can jump megacorp skyscrapers, keep pace with bullet trains...God forbid you make his list.

fuck it we doing LXXXVII

Vidar Hallström "Thor"
age:32
Hails from the town Karlskoga in Sweden.

Soft spoken steel worker with an amazing shape and luscious blonde hair. Gentle man but do not get him angry, you will regret it. Deadpan humour. Always. Wether he knows that he's being funny or not is still a mystery.
Vidar never considered these mercs to be a good thing. The European civil changed all that.
What was only suppose to be a temporary change of pace soon turn into a full fledge career.
During the siege of Paris, he was saved by the redhead sniper Bonnet and the crazy firefly Ernesto Vazquez. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.(and career). Together they would become a very deadly team, clashing multiple times with the shadow puppets of the Izaki corporations

No real serious augmentation save for few things here and there. Powered tatical armour unables a few abilities like enhancing his upper body strength by 4 and a decent protection against small arms and blades.

Mjölnir
Vidar's large hammer incorporates an energy field emitter within its head that activates only when the hammer strikes its target. This allows the weapon to store a tremendous amount of energy and release it only at the moment of impact, producing a terrific blast of energy and concussive force like the crack of thunder, from which the name of the weapon originates. The armour is tuned to the frequency of the blast so Vidar doesn't knock himself out everytime he hits a target. The hammer can also emit, on demand, a small kinect field that blocks and deflects incoming fire. This barrier is finite however and if overloaded, the hammer will lose it's abilities for 6-9 seconds.
In his right arm, there is a powerful magnet tuned to the frequency of the hammer. The hammer can be thrown with great precision only to be brought back by extanding his arm forward.

Ernesto originally gave him the name Thor. Vidar didn't like it. But it stuck for obvious reasons.

The Elite Merc world is small, only the talented and capable survive, as evidenced by the mere 100 mercs on the master list. All of the Top100 mercs know each other, or at least know of each other. They do fight, and it does get fucking nasty on the battlefield, but for the most part they're not fighting each other so much as this faction or that tribe or this army. Now there are vendettas and rivalries and flat out hatred, but all this to say that some mercs are friends outside of their teams
So /tg/, where do the elite mercs hang out when they're not fucking shit up in the Congo or Venezuela? Some Cantina in Dubai? A dive bar in Russia? Where's the places known for R&R after a hard days work putting down rebels and nation states alike? A neutral territory, where's fightings off limits? (Not that the rules are always followed, sometimes when a merc kills your teammate the battle doesn't end when the conflict does, and you'll fuck his shit up if you see him again)

not really. easy to balance.
We've got shields and very strong armour.
Just remove tall those that said MY MIGHTY KATANA SWORD CAN CUT THROUGH 1000 INCH STEEL!

I'm getting a metal gear revengeance vibe. Except toned down on the whole CRUUUUAHZEY

We've talked about merc groups. Proxy wars. shadowy corporate espionnage game of cat and mouse with pawns being moved. Something about Europe civil war and Montréal being destroyed.

The way I see it.

2070 -The advent of compact energy sources by a German scientist Adolf Junker bring nanotechnology and warfare to a whole new level. The flux generator is born. And it's solving alot of energy demand. But it's very costly to make.

Power armours and exoskeleton had previously been deemed unfeasible. Cost to much, and the the battery packs needed for it are way too big to be practical.<

2079 - The first exoskeleton sees the light of day in the North Korean debacle.
It all goes downhill from there.

2081 - By this point, the flux generator has boosted augmentation to unparalleled levels.

2080-2092 - Basically these 12 years see a rise in proxy wars using the nanobot/augmentations. The augments are still in their infancy but technological bounds are are made every 8 months bringing us closer and closer to the Metal Gear Reveangence level of absurd augmented individuals.
Meanwhile during these years, the public opinion is the same as in Deus Ex Human revolution.
Should we ban augs? Why wouldn't I aug everything?

2090 - The first real AI is created in a Seattle lab. A.L.I.C.E. (Artifical Learning Intelligence and Communication Engine)

2093 -30?? The European civil war starts.

cont
2079 It was by this time that most of the general public was made aware of the anti nuclear tech when North Korea tried using it's arsenal. By that time, most major countries already had the tech or stoled it.
Direct nuclear warfare was no longer possible. Bigger and bigger conflicts started escalating.

2100 A.D. The US is still strong but weaken after lost California during it's 2nd civil war. Europe is still in a never ending civil war that seems to be financed by shadow players. Sub-Saharan African is loosely organized as a confederation although they have many many problemes.
China, Japan, South Korea are all Cyberpunk hellholes with Skyscrappers that defy logic.
The U.N. as long been disbanded. Australia's doing suprisingly fine. Middle east is still a shit ridden hellholle of neverending war with Israel having taken over much of the surface area of Syria Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt to expand their Greater Israel. Russia isnt communist but they did go back to what seem to be a more authoritarian regime ever since terrorists managed to make a triple strike attack that left parts of the Kremlin severly damaged.
Brazil and India arent superpowers, but they definitely have a bigger hand in the game that we could expect.

This is were our story begins.

I feel the obvious solution would just be to either: have this setting be in that setting's past, before that planet fell to ruin. Those survivors can manage because unbeknownst to them they're all nanomachine infused from birth.

or

Have that planet be lost somewhere but still be in this setting's timeline, so it's off on its own somewhere stewing in its own strangeness while everybody becomes crazy nano-psychics a mere two AUs away.

Her multipurpose staff/rifle, assorted infiltration tools, perfect control over her body, and a stealth suit make her quick, quiet and deadly. She adores a challenge, and that mixes poorly with her confidence in her talents. Expect barfights and inquiring guards with her in the party

He, it, works as a courier of sorts, transporting whatever to wherever for the right price. This job works well given his fugitive status, a half billion credit bounty is great motivator to keep moving.

O-Dawg picked up this price on his circuits after defecting from the UEF Navy for moral reasons.

Aside from changing his paint job weekly and continuously modifying his chassis, O-Dawg keeps up on the neo hip-hop scene almost obsessively. On the greatest divide in the music scene O-Dawg falls squarely on the Jovian side of things.

In combat O-Dawg prefers to keep moving, keeping his heavily modified assault carbine close to him at all times. And when things get really heavy, a swarm missile launcher tends to ends arguments in short order.

Omega Dog's dream is to join the Jovian Jammers, but his ability to rhyme is severely limited by his original programming and lack of actual vocal cords which leads everything he rhymes sound like so much autotune.

Dr. Anton McCauley
USA
57 years old
He was a prestigious doctor in Los Angeles. The most skilled hands in the business. Countless lives were saved thanks to his knowledge and skills.
No one knows what the trigger was. Something happen during the second american civil war and Anton's mind was never the same.

A part of his face is severely burn which might give insight as to what happen.

Tech: Anton is fully equipped with gear from the new american weapons contractor, Icarus industries. His body is fully armoured with a fire resistant prototype gear. The plan was to get the suit in full production and sell it to volcano scientists and firemen. Of course before any massive scale production, Icarus needed to have the suit "field tested"

With the suit, Anton is effectively invulnerable to any form of heat or fire. The suit will fail only in case of extreme heat or a very concentrated blast.
The suit is slightly mechanized, but nothing uncommon for the era.

In his hand, and connected to the pack on his back, is another prototype. The M70-P2 A plasma flamethrower, or "Hephaestus"
The very old M2 flamethrower, 1930-1980 had an effective range of 20 meters.
Hephaestus is effective at 75 meters and has maximum range close to double that number.
Even without the heat and flame, the sheer speed and pressure of the blast is enough to kill a man at close range.
With the new technology, this terryfing weapon that can produced a devasting flame for 10 straight minutes.

When he's not maniacally laughing and burning other mercs, he's patching up his teammates with the same level of talent of his golden years.

Complete sane and zen when practicing medicine. Batshit insane in his suit when he's out on the field. He's the closest thing to a real Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde case.

Hover-skates, headphones, skimpy shorts and an iconic, goofy-looking club makes Raive stand out. She seems caught up in an uncaring zen of pleasure, as if burying herself away from the madness of this world. He knows his way around tech and how to strike a deal, even if most of his body was blown away in a deal gone sour. But he somehow slithered away from it and had his mutated head planted into a "Handy mech." Not worth much in a fight besides what turrets he has installed, Huck has a lot of sway in the world, and knows quality tech and weapons when he sees them.

>name: 39562020111, but most of us just call him Shitbucket.
>No sense of humour, vindictive streak a mile long, and a gun he ripped off a riot APC. used to be a heavy lifter down by the docks, but a strike mob reprogrammed him to "stick it to the man" which he's been doing happily ever since.

>name: Jens "Kreuzritter" Siegmund
>used to be a cop, can you believe it? That armor he's wearing was top of the line when he went AWOL, full energy shielding, riot dispersal arc generator, even a gravity pulser for taking out flyers. Some people say he's a vigilante now, a knight in shining armor that protest the weak and all that bullshit. He's a merc, same as me, only he lies to himself about it so he can sleep at night. Me, I don't sleep.
