But that's an Orc, you silly-billy.

Makes a certain amount of sense in Eberron, actually. The Dhakaani Empire predated human arrival by about a thousand years, but it's not like they weren't still around. Modern Common on Khorvarie probably has some Goblin influence, especially in Sharn, which is built on the bones of an ancient Dhakaani city.

Gob..lins?
>>51414129
This is unlikely.
>>51414129
Makes perfect sense to me.

Who cares... sauce of this chick!
Goblins talk Bizarro-Common. Gobblish is the language of goblins, which to most sounds like total gobbledygook.
These are the sorts of goblins I prefer as well.

Man, old Night Goblins were rad

They were really weird but had a consistent image. Goblins in Warhammer were just awesome.

Simple - long ago, the Goblins had a massive Empire that ruled over others. Their modern descendants are misshapen degenerates of this ancient power, but the marks of their society and language are everywhere
Alternatively, Goblins are a rapidly growing economic and trade power, ala Warcraft - their language is the language of currency, and speech follows the money. English imperialism and trade domination combined is why English language became the de facto lingua franca for most of the world

>Slayer of the mooks that explode into a fine red mist when a PC farts in their general direction
What a pussy.
