It's fine to include that kind of stuff sometimes, but after enough elf slaves and gentle femdom and cows, hair options just feel a bit in the way. They don't offer much and can typically be changed. It's a sometimes thing. You could have focused more on the unique aspects (like goal & aquisition). Not every CYOA with customizable waifus have to be fully-fledged waifu builders. I mean, they can, and good job for putting in the effort. But I think you'd get more mileage by concentrating on what makes a cowgirl special instead of too many basics. Or, better yet, MIX them. Use a template for one. Here's a tip:
To make the images look nicer, resize them (with the same aspect ratio) such that the shorter dimension is 300px. Then crop out the rest until it is 300x300px (using the MS paint crop tool).

OK, hopefully the Rival/villain will be lulled by my unimpressive warning resumee (most of my power is locked in artefacts) and, thanks to shape shifting/transmutation, our unrecognisable faces will ignore us. I spend a couple of years avoiding witch hunters, organising spy networks and writing a library-full of scrolls. When the time is right I send my agents to subvert officials with needle and forgery to ultimately gain access to the Waifu. I manipulate her with illusions, dreams and needle strikes whenever possible with the goal of increasing empathy, letting her turn away from the Rival on her own. With official power as well as the populace on my side I can face my Rival and probably win. That's all far into the future though and getting there will require careful planning, for which I am relying on a possible loophole in Limited Divination. If I decide to divine in 9 minutes I should be able to communicate to myself from 10 minutes ago. This means that I can play chinese whispers with myself from up to 5 hours ahead, what's more these future divinations might not count towards the limit as I did not actually do them. Combined with Scry Box this is fantastically OP.

There are various Genie Gallery templates floating around, including a psd file that Beri has on his drive (link in pastebin of course). That you can crop images down to.

A few threads ago I offered to make various genie gallery templates for people to use, including psd files but no one was interested so I didn't waste my time.

The advice about gimp would work. same with cropping in paint and an anon posted a link to a legal copy of ps cs2 which is more then enough to make CYOAs with, especially a genie gallery.
