So in the new pervy superhero, the Rings of
Chastasia make the wearer nearly immune to your powers. How much is that in %? It also says they're not immune to being punched in the face, but how do the rings affect you if you have something like Super Strength? I imagine if they disable that, you'll be getting your ass handed to you every time if you can only punch with the strength of a regular person, considering who you could be up against. Also, Healing Touch says that you can heal others with a touch, but considering you can touch yourself, does it work on you as well?

I was originally going to go for a hybrid outfit to trade my defense to go giant in a pinch before I realized it only worked with magical rites. I was still going to try to make the theme work by taking a tome as a tool and getting rank A Shock into Scale, but then it got nerfed to a 30 second change time, otherwise known as being absolutely worthless in battle. The rings don't negate your inherent buffs, so you keep your super strength and speed and what not. But since the wearer will know magic, there's a good chance they'll be able to buff themselves a bit so it's closer to a fair fight.
And yes, you can use healing touch on yourself, but it requires you to consciously use it, versus a healing factor which is just constantly active.

As a regular adversary, Jon Longson's exosuit isn't going to stand up to many (i.e. more-than-one) disintegration beam.

The goal here wasn't running Annie as she's meant to be played (Magic damage burst mage with heavy CC) but rather the playstyle and fight style that you get by running her as a tank (Same heavy CC, but high defense and an item that punishes attackers stacked with a spell that punishes attackers along with a minion that punishes attackers for getting anywhere near you or your allies within reach.)

That Defense S is 30% more effective than on an Average body or 70% more effective than on a Young body. Same for that Agility A. Meanwhile Warp doesn't need to be Powerful, just a little jump in a pinch for when Agility won't suffice. Conjuration doesn't need to have a big punch, just enough to let Tibbers out of the teddybear shell he's usually stuck in and out into full Shadowbear form, and even then he's there as a second, constant threat that's on fire rather than intended as a damage source.

Yeah, sure, but you have 2 slots, and that's not what any of them did. If someone at least picked thematic for that S rang magic rite, I would kind of get it, although I still think age would be a better choice. It means the difference between 60% effectiveness, and 100% effectiveness. Even if you pick the thematic outfit for that it, sure, you're more mana efficient, but on a spell that is only at a little more than half it's usual effectiveness. That's only a good tradeoff if your plan is to wear down your opponent over a prolonged battle, but then you would need at least a bit of stamina for that.

The only cases where I would see it work out is if you're using thematic for an indirect support spell, i.e. if you want to use Water S as your combat form for defense, while attacking mainly with physical attacks. In that case, mana efficiency is all that matters.

Where does "doesn't change your body any" turn into "makes you shrink"? The way I understand it, you pick "old" as your age, with strange age you can then pick a different affinity, without changing your body, so you will stay old, but have the magic of average.

But what came to mind from your comment was a Magical Girl who'd given up life but still served the cause she died for somehow, almost as if she couldn't really draw emotions up properly for mana, at least not on her own. Sacrificing yourself so that all that matters to you is whatever you were taking the hit for, with all other emotions in the MG spectrum being lost to you forever.

The way I read the Strange Age outfit just lets you Count as older in terms of legalities and the like. You'll note the picture is of a child in a lab-coat. That outfit is so that you can do shit like drive or pick up your cigs on the rough days since you have a legal ID that says you can.

It says "more young or old" and comes with the 21 ID regardless of which one you choose, so the ID seems to have nothing to do with the affinity part and sounds more like a little "bonus" to make the outfit more appealing, since it is mainly an aesthetic choice.

So you should be able to pick old as your body, then the outfit to change affinity to average, and your body will remain 16 (because it explicitly states that it doesn't change your body, only your affinity). But at least I found an answer to my question then: maybe a lot of people aren't choosing it because it's phrased weirdly.

Psychotic Disorder: Paranoia. Being extremely cautious about everyone and everything sounds like the most useful mental illness one can have, so I'm gonna go with that one.

Cause: Isolation. I'm a semi-NEET so I guess that would be the most likely reason I'd develop paranoia.

Self-medication: Church. I'm already a very religious person, I love God and I love my church community. Plus if the whole world is plotting against you and God, might as well be with the people of the faith they wish to destroy.

Constantina Cole: She's basically an exaggerated Mother Theresa in her views on pain, but I can live with that. And hey, she's religious too and sounds like she'll make a great mother, so why not?

Personally I think things get dull if everyone feels like things are fair because, then that's just how it is. Like a dude from the 15th century would have a Magical Realm similar to today, but we don't think exposed ankles are sexy.
