Hey /tg/, long time lurker, new to PnP rpgs so forgive me for being ignorant.
Why the hell do people say rouges instead of rogues? I have a GM who keeps referring to my character as a rouge, and it's taking everything in my soul to not yell "It's rogue for fucks sake!"
Seriously though, am I missing something? Are they the same thing or not?

It's also the color red in french. I know a lot of things that it is, just not why so many people write rouge, repeatedly, even when the correct spelling is right in front of them

The modern education system doesn't teach English language skills in the same way previous generations learned it, and now most people don't have any idea about spelling any word that isn't suggested by autocorrect on their phones.

And a lot of people now are so averse to learning anything new because "i wuld have learnd it in school dood ur not my teacher" that they wouldn't even notice you spelling it correctly.
It only get worse here on out.
