A thread for all those question you might have but you don't feel deserve their own thread.
Let's start with mine: Why are demons depicted with triangle or spade tipped tails?

Probably some medieval artist intended to draw him with a lion's tufted tail or similar, but drew a simplified/stylized version that looked like a spade, and then other artists copied that depiction without realizing what it was supposed to be.
Or something like that. It's the kind of thing that happens.

Much like "scale mail"? It makes a surprising amount of sense.

Because demons are depicted to be dragons. And dragons have them too.
And it symbolise a pike so a deadly tail is even more dangerous.
Alignments are shit, I know, but what would be the alignment of a Human Necromancer that kills and experiments on Elves, Drow, and other immortal beings for the scientific purpose of finding a cure for mortality for all the mortal races, being other Humans, Halflings, (somewhat friendly) Orcs, etc?
Noted that the experiments tend to be very painful for those immortals, and he actively enjoys it. He's also an NPC, so I'm mostly asking this for the Paladin's "detect Evil" ability, but I wanna be precise.

Just because he's delusional doesn't make him any less evil.

This. Mengele wasn't any less evil because he wrote down his notes with clinical accuracy while he was making lampshades out of skin.
