Hey /tg/ I'm looking for good games that I could run as a oneshot, preferably free and something that could be taught under an hour.
My current ideas are
Lacuna
Everyone is John.
Paranoia
Godenders
Any other good choices

Free and rules light:
Havoc Brigade - play a band of orcs infiltrating a city, no character creation rules but you can easily tell how to make balanced characters if you take a look at the given ones
One last job - create characters by telling stories about each other, usually played as old professional criminals doing one last job, but it gives you many different setting ideas (cyberpunk, fantasy, western,..)
Lasers and Feelings and the like - bet you know that ultra-ultra rules light game
Atomic Highway - rules light post-apocalyptic game, mad max like, lots of cars, easy in terms of setting and newb frirndly d6 pools. Just replay fury road with your friends!
Shit you have to buy:
Army of darkness rpg: if you haven't seen the movie or another part of the evil dead series: it's about demonic possession, solved by chainsaws. Rules light, brutal and lots of already finished characters.

What do you want your game to be about?
I forgot this one in my list

Doesn't matter too much really, preferably something not super super silly.

Though horror would be great

Cthulhu quickstart (whatever it's called) and pre made characters?

Fate Core is my suggestion.
I've never actually run a one shot before, and I will be running one soon. Could anyone give me some pointers? I would like something more narrative than a dungeon crawl, but I'm not sure how to pace it and ensure it gets finished in time.

Preferably something that takes less than an hour to explain
Call of Cthulhu is best as a one time thing usually.
MAID rpgit's meant to be run oneshot, try it some time

I'm a huge fan of Don't Rest Your Head.
Paranoia.
