Would anyone know anything about this game or any reviews on it? I've never done much in the way of /tg/ but always wanted to. I have several friends who are interested in playing this with me, but I don't know if it's worth the money.
>>
I got it for Christmas mostly because I'm a model nut and I wanted a tiny David bowie but the game itself is nothing special and very relient on random dice rolls. It could be fun for an evening of drinking or that sort of thing but there aren't any deeper elements. I've seen it compares to talisman but I've never played that so I don't know how it compares

So would you say it's worth 80 bucks or hold off? It seems board games appreciate more than my /toy/ hobby.

Look up reviews of the game on the 'Board Game Geek' web site. You may well also be able to find 'how to play' / 'review' videos of it on Youtube.

I had actually found the review on there but had no idea how reliable that site was, especially coming off vidya.

Looks like it received a pretty mediocre review, and the anon above seemed pretty unenthusiastic about it. Guess I'll hold off, but at least this has got me searching for a good board game to play with my friends. Maybe I'll look for something lovecraftian. Anyways, I'll give the thread 5 minutes before I delete it so it isn't taking up space

Well shit, it's not letting me delete it.

I guess I could ask what people recommend as a first board game to get into the hobby, as well as if there are any decent lovecraftian games?

Lovecraft games? Yeah, plenty of those. Arkham Horror is pretty good, so is Mansions of Madness.

Have a preference between the two? Arkham horror is quite a bit cheaper.
