I need an no to low magic medieval rpg.
I've been burned out playing dnd and pathfinder and want to try some realistic settings for a while.
Thinking of putting the setting in 14th- 15th century Germany.
Any recommendations?
(I'm also playing with newbies so something rules light would be preferred, but I'll take what I can get)

There are some Polish RPGs that would fit your bill.

Barbarians of Lemuria is a great low-magic game, but it's more geared toward the Conan the Barbarian-type of setting.
You have a lot of options.
Relatively rules light, with solid fantasy elements? Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
More crunchy, with optional magic rules? Runequest 6/Mythras
Absurdly detailed medieval combat rules and no or almost no magic? Pick your flavor of Riddle of Steel: the OG, Blade of the Iron Throne, Band of Bastards, or (my preference) Song of Swords.
All of these will work depending on the level of crunch you want, and all of them are made for historical or pseudo-historical games.

Song of swords and WHFB rpg seem the most appealing.
Thing is the player I'm playing with are kinda young, you think they'll understand everything happening?

Is that the terrible, white nationalist one?
