When I originally made the first Bad Drawthread, I sort of thought it would just be a one-time thing.

Personally, I think that these threads have much better requests than the ones in the regular drawthread, but at the same time I don't really think /tg/ needs two constant drawthreads.

It might make sense to combine the two, or rather to simply encourage more bad drawthread habits and styling in the regular /tg/ drawthread. As it is now, it's kind of a weird lottery where people mainly repost their personal characters in hopes of receiving a delivery that could easily be worth fifty dollars or more, and there's a lot of crowding that happens because of these reposts along with that weird "anchoring" business. While it's fun to see some of the amazing deliveries, the threads themselves are just not all that fun. The requests are just too private and personal.

Maybe this Two Thread system is the solution, to let people make silly requests and for even novice drawfags to make deliveries without feeling like they're disappointing someone by making them have to wait 2-3 threads before reposting their request. While I don't want to discourage the artists who want to put hours and even days into their deliveries, I do think that drawthreads are more fun when they're a little less serious, and when people are making requests that are more open to interpretation or otherwise just more open to the rest of the board.

But, that's putting way too much thought into this. I'm just happy people are enjoying themselves, and while having two drawthreads isn't exactly elegant, who cares?

I have to admit that I personally like the bad drawthread a lot more than the normal one. I'd like to think that I'm a relatively good artist but seeing some of the ridiculous skill that is shown off in the main drawthread is really discouraging (and I don't think I personally would want to put in that much effort for someone's random OC).

The main drawthread seems to move very quickly too and I don't know how well combining the threads would work due to that. But I do agree two drawthreads may not be perfect, just that I don't really see an elegant solution at this point.

The less serious format of this drawthread is what drew me here originally, and finding it really threw me back into drawing again. I'm happy that people are participating and I'm really enjoying seeing and drawing some of the silly requests that come in.

Also, thanks so much for posting that barbarian pic again! I never downloaded it in the first thread and was sad to have missed it
