Something went wonky with the newest version of Da Archive, 4chan rejected it. This is new to me. It claimed it had malicious content. I had run it through Virustotal and it was ok. I even remade the pdf and tried again. Hummmm.

P.S. - Remember, We are Better than all of the rest of the horrible internet and Good Manners ALWAYS gets more results. Wise up or please go elsewhere.

What's scanning a book fully entail? I hate physical books, an the one I want literally isn't sold in PDF (Burning Wheel Codex). It's it a long involved process? Will a place just do it for me if I pay them?

If its saddle stitched (stapled) that's easy to do.

If its a softbound, I usually use a heatgun to soften the glue and take it apart and scan page by page. And then use a glue gun (glue sticks) and heatgun to put it back together, which does take a bit of patience and skill.

Hardbound, forget it, cause it will destroy the book, as they are a combination of glue and pages threaded together. You would have to scan it while still bound, and do clean up in post processing.

I saw a website many years back that showed how to take the case off of a scanner so you can hang a book right over the edge of the glass and get a good scan of the whole page without disassembling it. You need a scanner that can handle this, though, as apparently some have hardware under there.

Depends on the scanner; some will allow you to bind multiple pages into a PDF as you scan while also recognizing text for you so it can be searchable. Effectively, all you have to do is remove the pages or bend the book for scanning.

If you go low end; you will likely have to convert all images to PDFs, then make them searchable, them merge them all together. Again, the work you may face depends on what type of scanner you have access to.

I believe you might find a printing/scanning service like Kinkos, FedEx Office, or Office Max that might do it for you. Though, then again, most of these places are self service. Though, again, it might be a good wait of gaining access to a higher end scanner.
