Hey /tg/ my modern-setting party are about to break into an ancient magical forge. It was used to make magic weapons during a long-forgotten war and is very heavily fortified.
What sort of traps should I put in it? Bonus points if they've been made more deadly thanks to time and decay.
The finest of the weapons the forge used to make. Vorpal sawblades from the walls; ballistas that fire crackling bolts of energy down hallways; grease-enchanted ballbearings and envenomed caltrops; spike pits with spikes that blossom like flowers inside a body when exposed to blood.
Magic, yo.

I mean that's a good start, but I was hoping for some more clever traps from you guys

Copy the living gems thing in Dungeon Meshi.
How is the forge nowdays? I mean, we're talking Moria and everything is cold and shit, or maybe there are still some magicl things? I'd consider lava still flowing. And the spirits that reside within it. Still loyal to the ancient smiths.
Picture hopefully not too related.
use a magical Gatling gun with rusty arrows. also try pits of oil with fire starter that does no longer work due to damness.

Old as shit but there's no reason for the magic to have stopped magicing.
Flowing lava is a great touch.
>forge
Pressure plate drops a stream of lava.
Poleaxes drop down, hitting unwary explorers.
>magic
Lava refills, trap fully resets.
Enchanted weaponry activates and fights as though wielded until somehow turned off or target exits it's radius.
A fish hits them in the face. No saving throw, no damage. It's just a fish. Fucking wizards.
