Legendary Weapons

Lost Blade of Yvan is the only one left, the rest were destroyed.
It was indestructible, perfectly sharp, and could combined with an intent of will, cut rifts between Planes.
It was allegedly carried off to the afterlife by some grand hero immediately before The Great Betrayal when all Magic departed the world, rendering the other artifacts mundane (albeit beautiful) items.

Blade said to grant eternal youth provided you found it while you were still young. Young adventurers would try to go out as early as possible in order to find it, leading to a lot of death, slavery, rape, and child labor as young adventurers were captured, maimed, raped, robbed, enslaved, raped, and led astray by wicked people due to inexperience and naivete. Those who survived the ordeal were generally turned into bitter people with broken dreams, lost friends, a wasted youth, and nothing to show for it. Less than nothing because many hadn't focused their youth on a trade or useful craft by the time they were too old to even properly make use of the blade.

The legend around it wasn't quite clear about the cut-off date for the enchantment to give you eternal youth, other than it required you to be young in order to use it. So you would be the age you found the blade it so long as it remained in your possession, apparently. Two conflicting tales about its origins, one being forged by a destroyed Dwarven society in a desolate mountain range to the east where the blade ties into legend of a rule of a King. His wish to be an Eternal Monarch brought with it a civil war it would seem, shattering the Kingdom beyond repair. Its ruins are said to have been swallowed by the earth for the King's hubris and the blade Spatzer is the only reminder.

The second legend relates to a love story between an Elf and a spirit in a pond of magical water said to have regenerative powers. The elf was a blacksmith by trade and found the magical pond by accident and communed with the spirit who lived there. She granted the waters a blessing of healing for all who touched it. Hoping to help the spirit, the blacksmith asked for the spirit's permission to take some water to temper utensils that would be used by healers to help the sick and injured. While the elf was selfless in his quest to help this spirit, it in turn drained the pond.

Because the elf was forging these utensils and weapons selflessly for the sake of healing others, the spirit could not bring itself to stop him. Before he knew it though, the elf had grown old and the pond was nearly drained and the spirit of the pond nearly drained of life essence. Heartbroken about what he had done, he forged one last blade and tempered it on the pond in the hope of binding her soul to it. A blade to heal life and wounds. The blade was tempered one final time with the waters of the pond and the elf's tears. With it, an enchantment was blessed upon the blade. The elf died shortly after this, and the blade was lost.

It's not clear why the blade was not like the elf's other blades, which helped heal and soothe the injured, but it's believed by some the spirit of the pond and the elf's tears combined to make an enchantment that would keep one young so that they would not grow old and feel the pain the elf did. It seems that the point of that tale, however, has been lost on many youthful adventurers.

Said to give you the ability to survive any attack by giving you visions of the future split seconds before they happen.

Essentially a good weapon that also provided evasion and +4 insight bonus to ac and reflex saves.

Funny thing is, it was made by elves, for elves. It was captured by humans in the human uprising and holds a grudge.

When a human used it for long enough it would get spiteful and at the worst possible moment, when the human trusted it the most, it would give him the worst possible vision to follow. ie dodge left instead of right, into the blade.At the GM's discretion it would give a hidden -8 insight bonus to ac and give Blundering, which is essentially disadvantage on reflex saving throws.

The weapon had significant lore in regards to its human masters meeting grisly fates at the height of their power. Frequently this led to the weapon being lost in some manner only to be rediscovered a few years or decades later by the next plucky adventurer. It really just wanted to go back home or at least be held by an elf.

If wielded by an elf it would sing at the height of his greatest battle, weaving the elf directly into the elf song as a sort of karmic tuning fork.

Basically, this kills the elf but makes him just shy of a demi-god for a bit. His ego disintegrates and returns whence it came and he is irrevocably a legend to his people, known inherently to them through their cosmic song.

Oh yeah, it was known to take different shapes depending on who found it. A convenient point for various games, but also a handy artifact feature in general. If armour can do it, why not weapons?

It's a pirate game so it's more legendary ships or flags, but there are a few I know of. Personal weapons,

>Freedom's Final Answer, sword of the pirate king, though forever out of reach since there isn't a pirate king, more of an oathblade than an actual weapon
>Spina, a ghostly pistol from a famous wreck, supposedly stuck in a loop of the wreck such that it can fire and "rewind" to fire again and again
>Plaga Azteca, a fine Toledo rapier and heirloom, supposedly killed Montezuma, may have been reforged a few times for continued use
>Houx, a beautifully ornate rifle that supposedly killed a werewolf
>Sir Garrick's sword, an unnamed crusader sword of great deeds, though not actually used for combat anymore but supposedly brings good fortune
>Tempeste, a dread falchion, basically a lightsaber
>Black Jack, a cursed long pistol that supposedly never misses, but attracts death to the owner

And the big boys,

>Howl, a Dutch prototype cannon that is phenomenally accurate and long ranged, known for the howling sound it makes when it fires and having sniped a commander in a ship's cabin
>La Voz de Dios, a truly massive bombard captured from the Ottomans, known for one shotting a ship by sheer weight displacement of the projectile
>Relampago, a cursed metal monstrosity of a continually mended and jury-rigged "cannon" that is always horrendously overloaded and tends to explode as often as it fires.
>The Seventh Plague, a hwacha... somehow obtained from Korea, a fearsome fiery weapon

There are others I'm certain but these are the ones I've encountered.
