TRUE! Pathfinder General /pfg/

Fuck Witch Hunter Edition!
No seriously, fuck that guy, he's an asshole.
So either lets talk about Witches, such as what you've played, experienced, or what kind of witch you wanna build,
Or someone post the DHB Unchained Martial classes just so we can look at them, and also to specifically spite witch hunter.

Because seriously, fuck that loser, I hope he breaks his legs.

>THIS IS IMPORTANT!
If you want build advice make sure to say what 3pp you can use, if any.

PoW was flavor of the year, but now we are disillusioned with it and we have realized that it was made by people who had no idea what the fuck they were doing.

DSP shilling without their trips on was probably the turning point.

A Masterwork weapon,
A backup weapon

Any other miscellaneous utility items as appropriate
muleback cords
Perhaps some other minor wonderous items, like feather charms

Also, why can't you buy armor? because usually I make sure I have a decent set of armor.

Also, if your game will not focus on events that will precipitate the use of non-combat items and supplies, then I guess you could go for the +1 greatsword

I'm pretty sure the "shilling" has long since been dead, the only thing left is telling people like you who scream about the damage and only the damage to fuck off. Seriously, I'm the person who wants to be in a PoW-less game and I think you're being an enormous bitch about the whole thing. Just because I said I didn't want a thing doesn't mean you have to immediately do your spiel on why "yea you don't want thing, that's great because thing is TOTALLY AWFUL and has absolutely NO REDEEMING QUALITIES, AMIRITE GUYS? Are there any good multiclass/prestige class options for witches? I'm finding monoclass builds to be rather boring for me lately.

It might just be that I'm a permanent DM most of the time, but I'm finding i really hate dead time more than i enjoy having a spotlight, so I like to have a character that can do a bit of everything.

Why can't you buy armor?

I'd say go with >>51136713 but also consider some potions if you're worried things might go bad, though as a paladin you probably can heal yourself.

Consider something for roleplay elements, if you feel like an item might bring more to your character. Like a pocketed scarf or a holy symbol that can hold a vial of alcohol or poison or something.

What's this a bout a witch hunter anyway?

What are the arguments for and against Path of War being overpowered?

The benchmark here is Paizo's tier 3s, the campaign assumes an Adventure Path (seems like those are what's popular anyway), in a game starting from level 1 (because APs always start from level 1).
>>
>>51138453

I love the kinks, actually.

For: You do a whole lot of damage. Those numbers of yours are really big.
Against: Getting through combat faster is only a measure of power within combat. If you're not just hacking your way through waves of monsters then PoW is no more powerful than a well optimized barbarian.
>>
>>51138548
>There is nothing wrong with being an audience member

There is *everything* wrong with being an audience member. If you're just there to occasionally swing your sword or say a quip or three while everyone else develops relationships and get all close and friendly with each other, that's a huge waste of an afternoon and a sign you're not doing the right thing.

>Are you having fun?

No, hell no.

>>
>>51138604

Barbarians are already almost a problem. PoW just destroys any semblance of encounter design.
>>
>>51138544

>>
>>51138606

Different people are different. And depending on how many people there are it can be a boon rather than a hindrance.

Are others sitting out? If you are not having fun the first step is talking to the GM and the Players. The second would be sticking through, maybe you find your groove? The last would be bowing out.

>>
>>51138466
>for
MUH DAMAGES! MUH BOOSTS!

You still have the same results a competantly built martial will have regardless, and Strikes aren't the problem, its full attacking which is generally your go-to for damage still. All Strikes do is give you either an extra way to do maneuvers, or apply rider effects to your attacks. or actually be able to move around and attack, or actually have incentive to shield-bash.

PoW raises the optimization floor, and makes different playstyles actual enjoyable, all the damage bloat is stuff that is basically still a problem even in the Paizo Pathfinder

And what's all that damage doing against a foe, anon? What is all that extra damage doing? This isn't Final Fantasy 10, where you get more XP for doing overkill damage; it's not like your damage overflows and spontaneously explodes the next mook over. All that extra damage means nothing other than "so this guy can't be revived". And if you kill an enemy that's a higher CR, guess what? He probably wasn't alone, there's 2 or 3 more around and they're going to attack you; remember, you get ONE counter a turn, unless you're a high enough leveled Warder, and then you can do it unlimited for ONE TURN.

Alright, I still have to do some more digging but I have a general idea, FluffyGM. Dropping the penalty to Strength and making it floating bonuses actually throws the door wide open for some interesting stuff, the only question is what that interesting stuff is.

I'm kinda leaning toward actually going ahead for a gruff Brutal Slayer/Bushi Stalker Kitsune with Realistic Likeness who was looking to settle down after newly arriving in the first world, before the whole "plot" thing happened and got him all wrapped up in shit. I'm kind of six of being a dex/int-fag, and there is nothing stopping a strong ex-merc who is rapidly approaching middle age from being cute. This needs more time to develop, however.

I agree here.
I'm a big fan of PoW but I would also readily agree that playing non initiator martials and trying to keep up is very tough.

I was never interested in playing martials before I learned initiating, so I just accept the disparity, discourage non-initiator martials, discourage initiators from spamming boosted full attacks, and run games.

/pfg/, I need some character design help.

A friend is starting up a game set loosely in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time universe. I'm looking to make an Aiel -- pic related. For anyone unfamiliar, they're a heavily martial culture of desert-dwelling tribes revered / reviled as some of the toughest warriors alive. TLDR: Japanese Apache Celts. Key features would be combat as a mobile skirmisher with spear and buckler, thrown spear, and bow; stealth; and relatively high endurance / survivability with the caveat of little to no armor.

I'm at a little bit of a loss as to where to begin and what I'm shooting for. I've played little to no Pathfinder, but plenty of other 3.x. I'm looking to go fightier than vanilla Rogue -- somewhere in the neighborhood of Ranger seems right, but without the magical nature bits. Where should I be looking for feats / features / etc. for "kills the shit out of things with a spear" and "good enough to not get hit"? 3rd party access is unlikely; it's hard enough passing official Paizo PDFs of books no one physically owns.
>>
>>51139348
>discourage non-initiator martials
That's kind of a shitty attitude. If you're essentially forcing people to play certain classes, aren't you no better than the people who started the problem in the first place by creating the disparity between casters and martials?

I'm in the same boat here.
I haven't cared for playing at least mid-casters for a while, and PoW actually made me want to play the melee guy again. It's nice because I have a lot of character ideas for characters with less magic aptitude and more martial prowess and always have to fucking shelve them because "5ft step and full attack or charge" is boring af lads.

And I think that 150 damage in a turn is okay if you can give bosses that level of power as well, and add a bunch of small, semi-threatening mobs as well.

I like to think it's like some Dynasty Warriors or Metal Gear Rising shit.

>you can wear heavy armor! And it will never matter past like level 6 because it does not apply against touch attacks or any of those things that need a save! But that's still a "class ability"!
>2+Int skill points per level should be enough for anybody who cannot cast spells. They have high BAB.
>>
>>51139416
People play classes for two reasons:
1) Specific thematics
2) Specific mechanics

The thematics of most martials can replicated with path of war.
The mechanics of path of war classes are both more enjoyable to play and see in action.
This is especially true when there are initiator archetypes of many of the 1pp martials.

If they don't want to mess with either the initiating subsystem or the caster/psionic/spheres subsystem?
Then play a different game, it's not like they don't have a choice, it's more that the specific one choice they want isn't available.

>1/day
Yeah no. That's exactly the balancing error that leads to the vancian all-or-nothing problem with encounters that makes them such an integral part of rocket-tag.

A level 3 Sorcerer can do it 6 times a day. Likely he's going to set two long duration boosts so he's got 4 left. Each of those can drastically alter an encounter - combat or otherwise - and you average 3 or 4 encounters in a day. If you need something else, you just cast something else instead, as it doesn't have to be those.

Likewise, "ALL DAY" is actually limited in the same way: by how many things you'll encounter that it could be used for.

The infinite healing, that's effectively the same for everyone: Whether you fucking sleep it off and fast-forward the weekend through, or take ten minutes punch-healing everyone with silver-crane, or just walk it off because you've got the boots anyways, it all comes down to "everyone will be topped off after combat". The fact that PoW offers it is not in and of itself a problem, all it does is ensure you're not limited by not also being able to do it, when everyone not-a-martial could do it too. It's a matter of the pacing of the game.

Path of War is overpowered in terms of damage, because its ceiling is ridiculously high. Again though, and this must be stressed, this applies to damage and ONLY to damage.

Path of War generally focuses almost entirely on pure fightan-man, with out of combat utility coming from either mobility powers or a few more widely applicable abilities. Most PoW classes fall squarely on low T3 and the apex of T4.

It's a stupid argument anyway, because it's feeding into the autistic rampage of the same tremendous faggot baiting for easy (You)'s

I maintain that most of the overly high damage comes from early stances giving too much bonus damage die, (like the Primal Fury 3rd one, the 3rd Elemental Flux one and most discs 1st level ones), and that Broken Blade wouldn't be as much of a problem if the multihit strikes came at normal levels, (2nd and 5th, not 1st and 3rd), and the knuckle boosts also being pushed back levels.

Weapon Group Adaptation was a mistake also.

It's fucking worthless to hit an ork once and maybe have a chance of possibly tripping him if you could just fucking kill it. Something tripped - if it even CAN be - can still murder your friends on its turn. Dead things don't.

A damage dealer's main duty to his party is neutralizing threats, offensively. They have to be able to do this; and things like debuffs, etc are more useful if they're splashed or splattered across others; NOT the one you minced with your attacks. Because the guy's, you know... dead.

That's another issue I have with PoW, The non-mobility/non-multihit strikes seem just worse than full attacking for the most part, unless they have a great debuff they can give, like nauseated or something. The other issue I have isn't the damage level they can bring, since that could be actually addressed through errata when? like >>51140153 The issue is that counters warp the encounter design far more than a high damage output ever could.

Piercing debuff and Battle Litany will keep DRG relevant as long as MCH keeps Hypercharge and RDM doesn't also give piercing debuff and more utility.

I was a playtester for Path of War for months before its original release.

I argued against the ability to freely choose disciplines from other classes. I wanted disciplines and class features to balance against each other like they did when it was just 3 classes.

Now anyone can just grab the strongest disciplines with any character.
>>
>>51139413
Barbarians can work well as Aiel. Refluff the rage as a "martial trance". You need to sneak some way for them to get stealth in there, but otherwise it works.

Slayers also work well.

You could go into the super genius games archetype packages and drop rage & rage powers in exchange for the ranger's scout package or the rogues sneak package.

The Aiel are considerably less about being sneak attackers than they are just being *brutal* hardasses to fight. They're very good at sneaking around, but beyond that they're rather brutal martials who *love* to fight; I cant quite remember how Lan describes them in the books, but they're some of the best infantry / skirmishers out there, capable of foraging well, treking long distances, and they're *great* with bows, spears and knives.
>>
>>51140293
>>
>>51140341
To be fair though, most people are going to take the Unorthodox Method trait mostly for flavor

I know I usually use it to grab flavorful disciplines like Eternal Guardian or Unquiet Grave for my Knight Disciple and stuff like that

Steel Flurry Strike.

>>51140298
The +2 only applies once. You don't get it for every multiclass you take. So it's 5/5/5+2/1/2, +CHA, or 10/9/10.

Instead go Paladin 2/Destined Primalist Bloodrager 8. That's 3/0/3+4/2/2+3/3/3+3/3/3+4/4/4 vs. Spells+Cloak of Resistance.
>>
>>51140341
I don't have any problem with being to switch out disciplines, the problem is that not all disciplines are created equal. Piercing thunder is just a shitty, boring discipline, so there's no fucking incentive to stick with it when there are other infinitely more interesting and useful disciplines.
>>
>>51140386
Oh no you don't, you sit down and explain, step by step, how a character at 5th level can reliably (RELIABLY, not MAXIMUM) deal 150 damage in a single round. Class, race, attributes, feats, discipline choices, maneuver choices, weapon choices, all of it.

That'd be a much better thing honestly. Besides the poor handling of Broken Blade, the majority of issues likely stem from discipline swaps existing through traditions and trait, and to a lesser extent WGA. Though Primal Fury's static damage on charges should have also been toned down.

>>51140381
I disagree a little. I almost always use it to grab my more favored discs like RH or MC, which are sort of flavorful but not the reason I take them, if we're just talking anecdotal evidence. I think a lot of people use it to trait out the discs that don't do much for their characters, flavor or mechanic wise.

>>
>>51140381
In theory yes, but more often I've seen it used to grab Elemental Flux on a character because >Elemental Flux.

What was proposed and shot down super hard was that their be several classifications of Discipline

>Combat style, supernatural, Specialty, and class specific.

Classes would instead have Pick X comabt styles, X supernatural, x spcialty, and you get your class discipline/disciplines.

That way a unique and powerful discipline could be used as a class feature. Additionally it helped keep certain combos in check.

Once agin though, this idea got thrown out because Gareth wanted Martial Traditions and at this point in Path of War 1's development he was the lead.

They had trouble against proper heavy cavalry though, which is why they mostly just avoided them. Or when they saw them everyone pulled out bows and just feathered them with arrows.

They were good at fucking up trollocs too because of their strong skirmishing tactics. Trollocs are bigger and meaner than you - don't try to get close, just feather them with arrows, or stab and retreat.

Against Myrrdral, you stay the fuck away unless you're a super badass, put a hundred arrows in the damn thing.
>>
>>51140414
What you say only applies to fractional advancement. They even outright state that under the fractionals rules the starting saves are fraction + a +2 bonus, which only applies once, and that this will lead to slightly lower saving throws.

Under standard rules it's as I said, always has been.

For: A lot of customization available to do a variety of fun things in and out of combat
Against: If your players are assholes, which they might be, they'll break your game with 40+ stealth checks, insane damage, and various other shenanigans.

To be fair, there's almost a canada sized distance between the south and the north of WoT-verse. I believe the distance from the easternmost point to westernmost "spine of the world" is something like 3000 miles.

"A reliable way of measuring the maps was produced in the novel New Spring, which gave the straight-line distance from Tar Valon to the sea south of Tear as 400 leagues (1,600 miles). Additionally, Caemlyn is roughly 800 miles north of the plains at the border of Tear, thereby providing a scale of approximately 530 miles to 1 inch for the maps provided in the paperback editions (Lord of Chaos)."

http://wot.wikia.com/wiki/Randland
>>
>>51140790
Well, with Student of the Astral Suit you can get +4 levels of customization points, so it's eminently dippable.

As for tank stuff, it means you can easily get some combination of fortification, energy resistance, evasion, etc, and more importantly, swap it all out each day.

It's not really a cohesive class by itself, though, other than being "magic Iron Man I guess". Whether you like it will come down to the customizations for the suit.

RBS is probably better damage, but it really isn't something you'd need to do a crazy build for.

>Race gives Powerful Build
>Class is an initiator that has full BAB, Access to Primal Fury and Broken Blade, preferably like Warder for the Full Round recovery
>GM retarded enough to allow a large custom 2h monk 2d6 weapon
>Power Attack
>18-20 Base STR
>Primal Warrior Stance
>Steel Flurry Strike standard action strike
>Bronze Knuckle swift action boost
>Move action to get into position
>Next turn Full Round Recover
Three attacks doing 5d6+12 is every other turn, getting a move action on that turn, and the off-turn is defensive focus.

Anyone of these options is strong on it's own, and they get retarded. Most of these would see normal use, outside of anti-PoW sentiments making PF and BB taboo and custom weapons being a fucking retarded option. Even if you can't custom weapon, using a feat for WGA to add heavy blades to BB would get the same result.

PoW is all about having a VARIETY OF OPTIONS for martials, and cheesing the system by picking one thing and only doing that thing is, in fact, incredibly autistic.

OH WAIT I FORGOT THE +2 DAMAGE WHEN USING FUCKING BROKEN BLADE.

Yeah, that easily hits 150 every other round. And I forgot the bonus die from Steel and Bronze, which is another (non-critting) 5d6. bringing it to something like three attacks doing 5d6+5d6+15 and ignoring DR, for an average damage of exactly 150 with a STR of 18 and a +1 weapon. Similar result with 20 STR and only a MW weapon.

Elemental stance + steel flury strike is three attacks, on a charge, with +5d6 each.

Sure since you have to have inputted all of the original commands you technically "did" that, but literally all you have to put in is an ungodly amount of time testing out inputs to get those to finally work. Wwhich is impressive, true! But it's not manual speedrunning.

It's not even particularly limiting, beyond the race selection. And the WGA feat can be waived if custom weapons are on the table.

Nobody should ever do this and if you do you should feel really bad about yourself or at least be a chinese warlord or some shit.

I forgot an additional 5d6+2 per hit, or 58.5 damage.

still, ~75 DPR at level 5 if everything hits+defensive focus is still /really/ fucking strong.
>>
>>51141219

See, this is when you teach the Paladin to get off other ways, either through different stimulations or different holes.
>>
>>51140926
18 strength: +4 (+6 2h), Power Attack +4(6 2h).
a 2d6 weapon goes up two sizes making it 4d6.
Steel Flurry gives you three attacks with +3d6 per, bronze knuckle boost making it 5d6. We'll say the weapon can safely be +1 by now.

3 attacks at 4d6+15+5d6 = 46.5 average. 139 total for the three attacks, every other round. 20 strength only increases this to 142.
>>
>>51141305
You forgot that powerful build would make it get an addition 1d6 per hit, for a total of 50 per hit.
>>
>>51141258
For actual DPR we'll need to check the to-hits and criticals; this is fairly relevant as the flurry DOES include a -2 on all attacks, and you might not yet have anything to turn power attack into something other than a to-hit penalty as well.
>>
>>51141325
No, the 2d6 weapon was already stated as being large.

Powerful Build doesn't always just add 1d6 anyways, it allows you to equip a weapon one step larger than your own size, that's all.

What is the best class to go into Shadowdancer?
>>
>>51141329
BAB 5, Enhancement +1, STR+5, Power Attack -2, Steel Flurry -2...
There's probably another +2 somewhere in there from weapon focus and something else... That would bring us to three attacks at +9.

Average AC for a CR 4 (CR-1, you might fight a few at a time normally) is 17.
>>
>>51141367
2d6 large monk weapon.

Plus it STILL doesn't work the way you say: if it was a large greatsword it would deal 6d6 after everything because two sizes up from 3d6 is not 5d6.
>>
Suggested errata for Weapon Group Adaptation? Disallow adaptations that take a weapon from a higher up "tier" and apply them to stuff that's meant for lower tier weapons, so by nature of this twist to the rules you can't friggin Flurry with a greatsword or use a boost that has the word KNUCKLES in its name for a Bastard Sword.
>>
>>51141398
so like a 65% to hit on each? That's about 97.5 dpr before crits, halved to 48.75 since it's every other round, not counting any AoOs from defensive focus.
>>
>>51141430
Just fucking remove it?

>>51141420
Then I miss typed it, it'd be a custom 2h monk weapon that does 2d6 when medium, and THEN make it large. What exactly are we arguing now? a few points of damage on a retarded meme build?
>>
>>51141106
Craft (jewelry) for harem outfits
>>
>>51141456
Erratas are for people that don't want to just remove it, silly. Plus, if we're going by the nature of PoW, think about how fights in a shonen anime work. People with giant swords aren't going to be flinging them around 5 times a second because that just looks silly, but a guy punching things with his fist can do the same amount of damage doing similar moves as that guy because it looks cool and because the "logic" there is that he's not as limited by the sheer weight of the hunk of steel the other guy has and can supplement his lack of mass with increased speed or muscle power.
>>
When is a good level to be able to Pounce by? In general, for most martial inclined characters.

Is being able to charge into full attack the very first turn necessary for me to maintain my martial career? Whether I'm PoW or not.
>>
>>51141499
The thing is, WGA doesn't really need to exist. It really only gets used to enable retarded shit like what we're talking about or that tech weapons thing with soulknives, if I'm remembering that one correctly. I can't think of any builds that need it since most discs don't have the restrictions on them like BB does. SW and TG do, but that's largely due to them being ranged, and some combination of limiting WGA to those and enforcing the use of those discs with ranged attacks would get rid of most of the need of the current WGA. I find that the flavor argument doesn't quite hold up since Pathfinder is largely a game where flavor is born from build and not so much the other way, though it'd be better if it did and the flavor options weren't so often trap options.
>>
>>51141558
I'd say by like level 9 or so for a full BAB? Anything before your second iterative would be a waste, and getting it right at that level would be way too much of a power increase.
>>
>>51141573
Nah, that's something soulknives can do normally. Just if you want to use solar wind boosts (strikes won't work) on a railgun or rocket launcher that you need WGA, and that's only because you're flat out not allowed to use anything solar wind or tempest gale without a discipline weapon. EVEN THEN there's a piece of equipment that lets you pull it off instead.

WGA's problem really is the broken blade damage bonus, since it's ALL your disciplines for that weapon type, meaning you only even need to have BB on your list.
>>
>>51141652
True, the BB bonus damage is kinda retarded. IMO that needs to go, as well as certain maneuvers getting pushed back to more normal levels. As much as I hate unarmed strikes and monk weapons being shit, trying to fix them seems to cause more problems than it solves.
>>
>>51141652
While some of the melee stuff can be kinda sick when unlimited, for the most part if a warsoul wants to go tech, it's easier on you as a GM (maybe ask him to refluff though) than if he chose regular firearms (harder hitting and when's the last time your map was even 150ft across anyways, let alone 300?) or a longbow. You won't have to worry about him going for soul-archer either. Which when extra arms from aegis get involved goes rather ridiculous, especially with those feats that make psychic-strike apply to all of your attacks...
>>
>>51140501
>Once agin though, this idea got thrown out because Gareth wanted Martial Traditions and at this point in Path of War 1's development he was the lead.

It really wasn't Gareth, but playtesters, and fans wanting a well-designed, customizable subsystem.

Gareth and ErrantX didn't deliver.
>>
>>51141573
>The thing is, WGA doesn't really need to exist. It really only gets used to enable retarded shit like what we're talking about or that tech weapons thing with soulknives

There's no restrictions on anything except for SW (noted as a mistake) and BB (noted as being retarded and irrelevant). All WGA does is add +2 to your save DCs.
>>
>>51141626

Cool, thanks.

I'm going Aberrant Aegis with the tentacles and such, and I don't want to be shit in combat and hold anyone back.
>>
>>51141558
>Is being able to charge into full attack the very first turn necessary for me to maintain my martial career?
Not necessarily, but if you don't have some way to keep your damage up above single attack levels you're going to have a hard time competing with anything that wants to hit stuff and can use magic to do it as a standard. Things like the Daevic from Akashic Mysteries and Druids with a big base damage die natural attack form like a hippo or a stegosaurus can make Vital Strike actually be a viable option, which helps, and then obviously maneuvers let you stack up pretty ridiculous amounts of damage. You really do need some way to move and hit for more than 40% of your full attack damage if you're going to be at all competitive though.
>>
>>51141715
>All WGA does is add +2 to your save DCs.
Exactly, A simple retool that explicitly said it only gives the +2 to DCs when using X weapon group with Y discipline would be a good thing.

I actually just hate the whole weapon group thing anyways so if I was to axe WGA, I'd just axe the whole weapon group thing nad make some scaling +save DC feat or something. It's not like there are a lot of save DC maneuvers you take, since most of them tend to be lukewarm debuffs.

>Powerful Build doesn't always just add 1d6 anyways, it allows you to equip a weapon one step larger than your own size, that's all.
Which makes bastard swords and DWAs going from 1d10 to 2d8 really nice if you can snag proficiency with them cheap.
>>
>>51141720

O-oh. Maybe I should look into Daevic, then. Either that or Initiator's soul for Aegis.

Enlighten me. What's the most powerful character that could be built for Dragon Game?

I want to try and figure out whether I feel above or below power level. I've never built a gestalt before, or really played a large amount of pathfinder for that matter.

>inb4 flavor before crunch
There are lots of ways I could crunch my character, I'd prefer the one that actually lets me be a big damn hero.
>>
>>51141869
Have you read this thread at all?
>>
>>51141841
Dwarven War Axes. They're generally great because dwarves can get proficiency with them for free and they're essentially the axe version of bastard swords, so their first damage size increase step is 1d10 to 2d8, and they can be wielded one-handed or two-handed. Or, you start with a Large one you can only wield two-handed and then bump the damage die up to 3d8.

My interpretation was that Gareth was vehemently opposed to the idea. Chris didn't care either way and let Gareth manage the playtesters.

Read chargen rules. Tentatively allowed. Attempts to bend the game over and forcefully breed it for days in end will not be looked upon favorably.

okay, I guess I just have to out myself as a newb.

Is PoW considered 1pp? I don't even know what 1pp stands for, I'm operating on the guess that it stands for "made by Paizo"

Half the dragons are like, kineticists or something. Something tells me they're a lot more likely to get in than a fourth or fifth OZ/DS

This made me curious so I compiled the class list: Taninim feels like a damn mouthful even to type so I'll just write dragon

>LG Human Knight Disciple Paladin // Unchained Monk(Scaled Fist)
>LN Tiefling Sorcerer // Unchained Monk(Scaled Fist)
>LN Kitsune Steelfist Commando Warlord // Elemental Asceticist Kineticist
>NG Dragon Royal // Draconic Hero Cavalier
>N Dragon Onslaught Kineticist // Draconic Exemplar
>LN Silver True Dragon // Battle Butler
>NE Dragon Mesmer // Draconic Exemplar
>CN Dragon Alchemist(Draconic Hero + Internal Alchemist) // Atomic Adept [first Chaotic entry: CN]
>CN Dragon Royalty(???) Draconic Disciple // Unchained-Monk(Scaled Fist) / Aberrant Aegis
>LN Human Fiendbound Marauder Warder // Aegis
>CE Human Unchained Rogue // Slayer. VMC Magus
>CN True Red Dragon // Incanter(SoP)
>CN Human Sorcerer // Shadow Assassin?
>NE Human Dragonrider(Harrier) // Cleric of Tiamat
>LN Kobold Alchemist // Unchained Hidden Blade Rogue
>LN Human Rough-Rider Myrmidon Fighter // Druid
>NG AND N Kobold Vigilante // Betrothed Avowed
>NG Human Paladin // Synth-Summoner
>CG Undine Undine-Adept Druid // Savage-Warrior Fighter
>CG Tiefling Unchained-Rogue // Sorrowsoul Bard
>N Titan Architect // Spell Sage Wizard
>N "Half Dragon Human" Two-Handed Titan Mauler???

There's a few unknown or questionable combinations in there, including one or two sheets with too few details to even extrapolate an explanation from.
>>
>>51142346
Those are sorted by order of application, right? Not power?
>>
>>51142346

>>
>>51142416
yeah straight down the page scrolling. I doubt the Titan Architect (defenses + autoturrets on your shoulders) Spell Sage is any weak, while two up there are kineticists.
>>
>>51142429
although apparently "having a character walking around with actual massive weapons to slay massive creatures living in a city with nothing but dragons and the like would make for an interesting story"
>>
I've never used spheres of power before, so I figured I'll give it a shot since one of the classes works really well with a character idea I have. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but just to clarify would a Caster Level of +2 at level 3 mean I have a total of 3 or would it just be 2? It's just kind of weird since it says a caster level of 0 is treated as if it were 1.

Also anything else I should really know about the basics of this?
>>
>>51140080
Sorry to burst your bubble but it looks like she's binding her chest and it's still massive. That combined with the leeway granted by the rest of her outfit means she is way more disproportionate than she first seems.
>>
>>51140432
I think I made the comment before that I believe the design of individual disciplines would have been much better if it was much harder or impossible to have a character with multiple disciplines. Currently they all honestly feel kind of the same, but if they were given room to grow without having to worry about major overlap (or unintended crazy synergies) then they might make something more interesting and unique. Maybe decrease the number of disciplines overall and make each one bigger.
