Need Armor enchantment ideas for an early steampunk/high fantasy world

Not really an enchantment but you could make armor that has a boiler built in that releases steam for some type of close range damage and a mist that makes the user more evasive

Some more info on the system:

It's a system that uses the Steam/Arcane energy to power runeplates, which are inscribed with Arcane Runes, that cause different magical effects.

You can mix/match Runeplates and even switch them out mid-day.

Go with elemental enhancements, but above the normal earth/fire/air/water include weird-ass elements like pic related.

>Fiber for going full-on nanosuit

That idea would be neat with the shields you posted. Have shield strapped to your back that serves as a jetpack via steam. When weilding your shield you could knock back enemies, and or incoming projectiles with a blast of steam from your shield.
