Hi /tg/,
Which rpgs have done stronghold or base-building in mechanically sound, and/or interesting, and/or fun ways? I haven't gotten the best experience of such systems in action, aside from Ship Creation in Rogue Trader, and reading the Stronghold Builders Guide for 3.0. What other systems should one look into to get a good idea of how to handle houses, castles, towns and army bases in a game?
The campaign section of ACKS (Adventurer Conquerer King System) does a pretty good job.

I can tell you it isn't Ultimate Campaign from Pathfinder. I think they where high when they wrote that pile of shit

Interesting. I should check that out. Might be a touch too OSRy for me, but I am vaguely curious about the Old-School thing and whether I can find a version with the right tone.
Given that I use a lot of Savage Worlds, I'm curious if there are any better systems for that beyond the ones in Rippers.
As for the obvious D&D rules of various editions, what other RPGs do this well?

That's a kingdom simulator more than a castle constructor, I thought. Still very useful, but it's for 2E and I don't think I have the equipment to really run that, really.
Would be very interested in an updated Birthright. Is the fanmade 3E version any good?
