Can your character use simple geometry?
When using flight, PCs have pre-drawn geometrical curves they have to follow.
Certain throwing weapons (ie - splash grenades) have a coating that make them bounce on walls. Sticky coating has been more popular so far.

My character has the Ricochet Shot Deed, so they indeed do use simple geometry.
>character specializes in mathmatics
>surely i can use this to plot firing solutions for the ships guns
>lol no fag use your below average ballistic skill

Nope. Rip & tear. Got other people for the thinking stuff.
Absolutely.
Oh, humans. Fascinating, but messy.

I can tell you from experience that gunnery isn't a matter of math.
It is, of course, but not in the sense of "If you know math you can calculate firing angles." Most gunnery that isn't entirely computer determined is done by terrain association, the box method, or by a kind of instinctual measurement/range finding.
I've seen some mortars who were dumb as a fucking post, and could rain some shit down pretty effectively, and I've seen some smart artillerymen who have almost killed their sighters because they decided to get smart with their shooting.

Hope you included that 30% error factor for atmospheric effects.
