So, anons, what kind of shit did your former/current DMs tried to pull? Any sort of confusing, spergy, creepy or cringey shit allowed.

Mine story:
>DM promises political campaign in a developed fantasy world, basically War of Roses with magic
>Sounds fun
>Start reading lore, pumped
>Notice there are, like, 6 elven kingdoms
>Ask DM if having six elven races is really necessary
>"uhm, ACKCHUALLY they are all one elven race, just six different kingdoms"
>mfw
>try to explain to him this makes no fucking sense, he's adamant it does
>fuck it, fine, i'm gonna be playing dwarf regardless
>Go over dwarven lore
>It's a balkanized clusterfuck
>what the fuck
>DM explains it's a succession dispute gone awry
>Now instead of having a certain race to play as i have to slog through dwarven clan relations
>Tell DM it's easier to make every clan a different dwarven sub-race
>He gets upset for some reason

Not sure if i should go back, but probably will, just to see how terrible it will get with no clear distinction within races.
