I am in this situation because i felt that my setting lack something, but using an existing setting is quite hard for me to remember, so i decided to give more juice to mine

Worldbuilding General has everything you need.
Besides that I usually do the Five Factions method:
Come up with five factions. They could be anything. Countries, Races, Philosophical Organizations, etc, but they should all differ from each other such that one faction has friction between at least two, if not more, other factions. From there it's all about building a setting that perpetuates this conflict. Could be magical relics hidden within an ever shifting labyrinth, could be a fight for resources on a dying planet. Whatever the case, it's always something that prevents the factions from overcoming each other. That's usually enough to really get the creation going. It's how Fading Embers came to be, as well as my personal FFG Star Wars setting.

The last setting my group created by playing Dawn of Worlds then running a game in our world afterwards.
