I've always wanted to make a character who uses dual bladed whips like that one dude from Underworld. It was would flashy as fuck, and only useful as a "wow look at that guy go" kinda thing, but it would be fun nonetheless.
As for a character idea, you could have them as some sort of exotic ex-gladiator, who makes a huge show in combat to dazzle a crowd only he sees.
