As it is, I'm having to run two magical realms in parallel. There are more men than women in our group, so it would be more efficient to make the women lez than the men gay. And once everyone is attracted to the same gender, my campaign planning efficiency will nearly double.

The heroes of SU are rebels of an alien race that saved the Earth in the distant past by turning against the Homeworld's terraforming efforts on the Planet Earth.

Well it isn't like they are overt about it, they continue to joke and pay attention and all that. I can just tell they are waiting for the segment to pass so the game will move on to things they are more invested in. A quick an obvious example is the archetypal "damsel in distress" situation. Male players will get more hyped for it than nearly anything else that doesn't require a very long story arc to bring around, and it isn't really even a explicitly sexual kind of hype. The attraction is an requisite element, but not the entire picture. Female players are only as invested in such situations as they are in any other kind of mission.

Also, any kind of "evil but due to complicated circumstances outside their control" characters are treated completely different depending on if the player is attracted to their gender. Players who are attracted to them will go through hell and high water to explain the reasons it "isn't entirely their fault" and explore every possibility in rescuing them, and punishing them justly but not irreversibly. Players not attracted to their gender probably just want to kill them and keep moving. This creates a very passionate argument with a solution half the table won't be entirely happy with. The other half, if they do go out of their way to help the "victim", now have an incredible amount of emotional attachment to the game.

As it is, I avoid these situations because catering to one side's romanticism isn't normally worth the drama.

Also, I don't see why you accuse me of being a shit GM. All my players have fun at the table and look forward to each week's game.

Two things you should know as a GM.

The first, there will be times where people aren't as invested as others will be. This is just a fact, and has little to do with the gender of the characters involved. Correlation and causation, and all that. A rogue made for sneaking will probably not be as interested in a hallway with no side passages as a warrior would be, for example. A warrior will be less invested in a trap filled area than a rogue would be.
