First for NEVER AGAIN.
>>
>>50818624
You're not supposed to make a new thread before it falls off.
>>
Rolled 23 (1d100)

Are we doing this again? Old thread isn't even dead yet.
>>
>>50818624
This >>50818675 . DELET this. And then use one of the more-interesting thread titles suggested.
>>
>>50818683
NO
>>
How did you even?
>>
>>50818694
You can't delete a thread, dumbass. And the other one is literally the last thread on the board. I'm sure the mods will understand.

>>50818705
My guess? Through sheer force of hatred.
>>
Rolled 79 (1d100)

>>50818705
I think somebody was a bit too hasty on trying to get a thread up or didn't even notice the thread was still going.
>>
>>50818719
You actually can delete your own threads.
>>
>>50818719
>>50818724
Yeah but, ive tried and it doesnt work. Something about duplicate files. How...?
>>
>>50818738
Either way, this one is better due to lack of rollspam, which needs to be left in last thread.
>>
>>50818719
>You can't delete a thread, dumbass.
You actually can delete a thread, dumbass. I've personally done it a few times.
>>
>>50818753
Should've waited like is traditional.
>>
Rolled 48 (1d100)

>>50818753
I'm sorry, you were saying?
>>
>>50818747
He used a different pdf. Clever guy, thankfully. That old thread was, well, pretty shit.

>>50818766
>like is traditional

Tradition went out the window some time around the last thread went to shit.
>>
Rolled 22 (1d100)

>>50818753
I didn't find it that bad at all. People weren't starting angry shitstorms at least. Just some good natured fun. Could always do hunger games again.
>>
>>50818785
Well, if he wasn't a dumbass, he would've remembered that it usually takes awhile for the last thread's salt to subside. He should've waited.

>>50818825
There wasn't any salt though, unless people are salty they can't roll a crit. Even this thread hasn't done anything except for people saying they hate rollspam and asking why there's a thread.
>>
>>50818853
>>50818793
Yeah, we only had people completely ignore that a DOTA2 jump WIP got posted. And same for any discussion or posting of perks in future WIPs for other jumps. It wasn't bad at all that they got completely ignored in favour of rolling over and over for hours.
>>
>>50818793
>>50818853
Please can we leave the rollspam off this thread?

/JC/ What does your Jumper want for Christmas?

Sonic Classic Jump 046:
CP: 1000
Drawback:
& Knuckles [+200]
Metal Destruction [+200]
The Eaten Time [+600]
Location: Little Planet
Origin: Conqueror
Perks:
Spin Dash [200]
Fastest Thing Alive [600]
Eggomania [Free]
Fly High, Gentlemen [Free]
Build My Empire [200]
The Master Plan [300]
The Blessing of the Little Planet [300]
Gear:
Death Egg Schematics [300]

So what happens when you've combined the speed enhancing stepping method of Saru (One Piece) with being the Fastest Thing Alive? Quite frankly I don't fucking know but whatever speed I'm moving at it's only thanks to my abilities from the previous Sonic Jump that I'm keeping up with the world as I move through it. Physics are in a corner crying as I shred every ounce of speed out of my body and then come back for seconds. Were it not for the fact that my biology is completely alien thanks to my time in the Prototype world I'd be devastated even with the protections that the new perks give me. As it is my stock of biomass is slowly but surely going down as I blast past all foes as fast as I can, basically speed running the damn world in an effort to get everything done in time. Each step is a symphony of broken bone and torn tissue but I keep going, hell I need to go faster.

It's an effort to call the little Wisp and then we are one and I am light. I move as a living laser, ignoring outright what before I had been dodging. The rush is huge but I can't stop now so I call forth the Fake Emerald and with it in hand I have a point of symphaty between all Emeralds, by the time that the effect of the Wisp wears off I have two Emeralds in hand and I saved a lot of biomass. Again my body breaks as I continue to move beyond the limit of safety. A month of running later and I was done. My biomass was back to it's original level, and gathering that much had been a pain in the ass but the timelines were saved.

That was about the moment when Metal Jumper lopped off my head with a copy of Jumpseiga.
(To be continued)

I'm allowed to try and punch myself in the face, because god damn there is nothing as bad as being in absolute hell and knowing it's all your fault

In anycase I also have the world's lamest build for Gundam UC and I will be taking this lovely little warstrider along the entirety of the gundams

Jump 27: Gundam Universal Century

1000/1000
Crossbone Gundam
Traveller(0)

Perks: Adults and their Lies!(0), Anaheim Degree(200)

Companion: Lalah Sune(300)

Mobile Suit
(50 cp, Import Jade Panoply)
Custom: Beam Saber(0), Head Vulcans(0), Vernier Thrusters(150), Enhanced Sensor Equipment(100), Funnels(200)

I don't even know what my plan is but to be a massive piece of shit with the Moon Princess I got from Star Wars the Original Trilogy alongside this new baby.
I should have probably bought a carrier now that I think about it...I could afford it, too, there wasn't a whole lot I wanted out of this jump.

Is this what happens when I go on vacation? The great beast that is /jc/ becomes restless and does this?

I may be trying to do all of Heisei if nobody gets to it before me after vacation time, or at least fold Kabuto into something because I'm not sure I can stretch it all into one jump. Ryuki I'm increasingly tempted to do as an LoT-style gauntlet, except you don't get kneecapped and assumed morally incorrect for sticking to your powers.

Speak of, if Merchant's floating around, how's Gaim coming along?

>>
>>50818993
Fire.
>>
>>50819082
I'm not. I think someone mentioned wanting to do a Decade endjump (Digger?) a while ago, or at least give it its own jump. It kind of needs to be its own animal sort of by necessity, or at least have things to bounce off of. I'd be handling things leading up to it, though.

Speaking of Kamen Rider, any idea of what Kamen Jumper's progress on Amazons is?

Here's a build I did recently.

KOTOR:
Dantooine
Blind 200
Broken 100
Grey Jedi -100
Togruta -50
Strength Free
Persuasion Free
50,000 Credits Free
Datapad Free
Chosen Ones -200
Battle Meditation -600
Pyrokinesis -300

I mainly plan to faff about having fun, exploring the universe, studying their tech and then using it to keep me alive during the war. This is a war setting, right?

(Continued)
The Metal Jumper hit me at my weakest point. I'd poured resources into saving the world that I hadn't even test yet and as my head came off a swarm of spiritual attack, both bullet/flame patterns of Undertale and my personal style of Soul attacks. Body and soul burned in an instant I was slain before my head could hit the floor.

Or so it seemed.

My Limit Mode broke and I was hitting the a Metal Jumper just as hard with everything I had in the next instant as it tried to keep up with the fact that I was synced up with 11 alternate dimensional selves. I hit with all the accumulated might I could bring to bear on the Metal Jumper. Spiritual Energy flowed and I grunted heavily as the information from Shingan told me that the Metal Jumper was merely critically damaged. Fast-Teleporting I pulled my gun out and unloaded into the metal monster as nano-machines tried to keep up with the amount of damage being dealt. I knew my limits, fought against them as I strained to atain greater heights so when I finally finished off the monster of metal I banished the slowly regenerating monster to the space inside a black hole.

A new one would be on the way but I'd burned through my Limit Mode already and that was enough to make me wary. Now it was time to get moving, I had to build myself a new empire and use the scan I'd gotten of the Time Stones as well as my Fake Emerald to create a new energy source that would use Quantum Entangelment, that was the objective anyway, and use the Anno tech that I had to trade with Eggman.

The perk makes you an Apostle which cannot be killed by in setting means, this is very good.

Unfortunately you only regenerate destroyed flesh, meaning that someone can cut a limb or your head off and it won't regen until you re-attach or destroy that part. This applies to your whole body such that cutting up a Apostle and separating the parts by large distances is a good way to deal with them.

What's the rule on making jumps based on a spin off of a setting we already have? Like, we have an Evangelion jump, but what if I wanted to make an Evangelion Campus Apocalypse jump, which is based on a spin off that's way different compared to original Evangelion and set in a different universe?

For reference, Angels must kill and possess human bodies in order to interact with the physical world (pic related is one of Ramiel's forms), the pilots fight the Angels on foot with Lance of Longinus like weapons, and everyone is after the Cores for some reason. Is it okay to make a jump on a spin off like that?
>>
>>50819666
The perk just says "you'll have a few seconds before the damage takes full effect". But obviously the faster you can regen and the tougher you are, the more those "few seconds" will do for you.

How many Dragon Blooded are there in modern Exalted? Significantly less than during the primordial war?

Is there a point where Shield Infusions (Bioshock Infinite) don't do anything for you? I mean, you're going to need ridiculous amounts to do anything significant when you're only improving by 15% of the shield's initial base, but could you theoretically drink enough of them to withstand tank shells and even more?
>>
>>50819703
Wards won't help, because you've already taken the hit. Resurrection spells won't help, because you aren't dead (yet). Healing spells will help, but only if you've got enough to heal the damage the nuke has inflicted - which, if we're talking in D&D terms, could well have put you into the thousands of negative hp.

Dragonbloods are experiencing too much political corruption and kind of dicks. They also don't really know how that shit works.
Like they get that having dragonbloods only having children with other dragonbloods will maintain the bloodline better, but that's the extent of it. Dragonbloods also ignore that rule since they want to give the D to people
>>
>>50819737
There are efforts, but the bloodline has been diluted enough that this is the best they can do. Maybe a few generations from now they'll be stronger on average, but surviving the approximately twenty apocalypses about to hit Creation all at once will probably screw up their breeding programs too much for that.
>>
>>50819751
>At this point the only way to make things better is extreme incest.
Or just use the methods that improve the strength of an individuals blood, it is possible for a Dragon Blooded to increase their blood/breeding score with training and effort and. . . they aren't going do that are they?
>>
>>50819751
>extreme incest
Does Exalted have mendelian inheritance for that to be a problem?

Also even if it does then per >>50819746 they should still have a quite viable breeding population without needing to go to extremes.
>>
>>50819730
Can you buy the infusion multiple times or just once (and have to get others in-world)?
>>
>>50819767
Those are first age charms. I don't think anyone really knows those still exist outside of savant historians, and the current world state doesn't facilitate living long enough to get high essence dragonblooded running around.
>>
>>50819771
You can buy none of them and get all of them in the world. I would assume you can also buy them multiple times if you want.
>>
>>50819767
The charms that let them raise their Breeding are both dangerous and require them to live lives of purity and abstinence from debauchery. Not many modern DBs are willing to deal with both those restrictions. They're also high-Essence, so a Dragonblooded has to be fairly old before they can use them.
>>
>>50819790
>The charms that let them raise their Breeding are both dangerous and require them to live lives of purity and abstinence from debauchery.
Really? There are no methods that can be used safely/without abstinence?

Jumper and companions will get to the essence requirement eventually.
>>
For Anima jump, the Dargonpact option removes the risk of you dying if the dragon dies but what about the Sheele option? They're familiars too so do you still run the risk of dying if they die?
>>
>>50819814
The purity and abstinence are to make you live long enough to develop the essence score needed to use the charms.
>>
>>50819844
No, that is not a function of Sheele. The permanent loss of a point of power is the usual cost to make them, so them dying just means your out on an investment.
>>
>>50819814
Nope. And it's really dangerous. You've got a roll of (Essence+current Breeding), against a difficulty of (new Breeding rating). If you fail, you die. No room for partial successes, and since there's no "Essence Excellency" or "Breeding Excellency", the dice pool can't be enhanced by charms. So unless you're quite high Essence, it's not particularly safe to do. It doesn't need the abstinence, technically, but that counts as a stunt to add bonus dice, so it's a smart thing to do. Plus, as >>50819849 mentioned, the average Dragonblood needs to engage in such things in order to live long enough to raise their Essence high enough to buy the charm.
>>
>>50819862
Can you have more then one Sheele?
>>
What happened in the old thread? Why the bump limit didn't worked?

Did anyone ascended?
>>
>>50819863
I did some checking of dice probabilities with Troll Dice, by the way, just out curiosity. If you use Purity Crucible Strike the moment you get access to it, at Essence 6, you're got a 77% chance of dying in the process of reaching Breeding 5 (I'm only doing the roll for the escalation from Breeding 4 to Breeding 5, just for simplicity's sake). If you wait until Essence 10, you've only got a 49.5% chance of dying. Stunts can add up to three dice, raising your total pool to 17 dice (10 Essence + 4 Breeding plus 3 stunt), giving you 32% chance of death. That's the lowest you can lower your odds, and three dice stunts are hard to get, too. There are some other ways to influence the roll, Sidereal Astrology can reduce the difficulty and target number by one, which does increase it significantly (11% chance of dying at Essence 10, without a stunt. A three dice stunt lowers it all the way to 3.7%), so you can probably find some out of context solution to improve your odds. Still, it's risky. I'm not sure I'd want to chance it. Maybe get extra life perks, that would help.

>>50820159
Okay, here's the big secret about Bastion: It's basically a Final Fantasy game cunningly disguised as an indie game.

Basically, all the weirdness comes from crystals called Cores. Which are created from burrstone infused with the essence of burrstone-symbiotes called Windbags. Their big shtick is conceptual remembrance, so you can harness them to restore a world that's been blown up. The Bastion is basically a supercomputer that calibrates this effect well enough to float in place after most of the world's surface has been blown up, and basically "save" the past over the future of the world with enough Cores equipped. However the sheer energy they pack can also be used for extremely dangerous weapons, such as The Calamity.
>>
>>50820195
I'm not saying It wasn't a genocide in them. I'm saying you're wrong about why I was going to genocide them and considering it ends war in the middle east. I think it would result in a net downswing of loss of life Over time

>>
>>50820224
Yeah, after last thread there's not really any room to complain about off topic conversations.
>>
>>50820159
Bastion technology is based around manipulating natural energy flows. The strongest sources of this core from Burrstone that's been infused with life force from countless generations of Windbags (a type of slime monster that in its juvenile and young adult stages is lighter than air, thus the name) making their nests in the stone. Other sources are possible, for example, the Ura use "Conductors" that channel ambient energy to strengthen and reinforce the natural order of reality around them. That's mostly what Bastion technology does. It either strengthens or weakens physical laws and the natural order. It can hold it together under stress, as the Bastion itself does, or as the Rippling Walls do to reinforce their physical strength. It can weaken it, as the Calamity device (and its lesser man-portable version, the Calamity cannon) do to increase chaos and disorder to destroy things. Or, by weakening it in some ways and strengthening it in others, it can control nature, at least to a degree, allowing for things like the Skyways and their corridors of wind that users can fly upon for long-distance travel. The height of Bastion tech that's been observed is the engine at the core of the Bastion, which is theoretically capable of destroying the universe and remaking it in an earlier configuration, essentially rewinding time. No one's ever been able to test it, though, because how would you know? Activating it is one of the endings, though, and if you start a new game after the rewind ending Ruck's narration at the start will say "Haven't I told this story before?", suggesting that it does work.

That's basically it, yeah! And it's implied the put-everything-back effect is so versatile it was the entire foundation of the Caelondian tech base since the Caelondian tech boom was based on it-homing automated turrets, control systems, vehicles etc.

Interestingly, the Ura have some sort of crystal they can use to infest paths as blockades and a battering ram that summons meteor-like bursts implying they too used refined burrstone in some way without making Cores out of it.

>Super intreasting! How do 'Conductors' work, or is it one of those kinda implied things that didn't get a lot of lore?
They're just something that's implied. We know that the Ura used them heavily in their construction, and that's why the Tazel Terminals are still so intact when the rest of the world's mostly destroyed (which kind of undermines their quest for vengeance. There are two surviving Caelondians and like a thousand surviving Ura. The Calamity was a dick move on Caelondia's part but I think they've paid the price for it). We also know that the Mancer Observatory, where Caelondia's most top-secret research was being done, used them in their experiments. Other than that, not really much is known.

It's not exactly going to come free

300- Black is the New Black
-The evil thing that gestates within the Holy Grail, Angra Mainyu, would normally only begin to be born at the end of this war, depending on the actions of certain characters that take part. Now, his black mud is already present in Fuyuki City. It has infected every other Servant present in this war, officially or not, and only you and your Servant have been left untouched. This corruption has stolen the various Servants and bound them to Angra Mainyu as their new Master. Each of them gains the Alter Type added onto their own abilities, as described in the Servant Supplement, and will be resurrected one day after being destroyed. They are also all after the head of your Servant or you, if you are one. If they manage to corrupt or kill the last Servant, Angra Mainyu will be able to use the Wish that the Holy Grail grants to be born into the world in full. Needless to say, that happening counts as a failure for your Chain.

You could stay on the run for ten years and if you survive, escape successfully or you could try to destroy Angra Mainyu where he is incubating in the Holy Grail. Succeeding at finding and destroying him would certainly stop the onslaught of corrupted Servants...but you'll find that a piece of Angra Mainyu will always manage to escape until the end of your journey. He'll continue to send the corrupted Servant's after you , and possibly infect more beings, but each time you kill him will grant you a year's respite at least. If you manage to kill him each time he appears until the end of the jump, you can take his Servant form as a companion. Maybe you could help him get over that trauma.

Slowly shifting power away from traditional structures through economic influence, propping up governments that are willing to cooperate, and all around accepting that lasting change takes time to implement instead of sudden massive revolutions.
>>
>>50820388
That's known as a double standard. Also as >>50820395 explains they don't try to take the moral high-ground when they do so. They acknowledge that what they are doing is bad/negitive/evil/etc. but they accept that and continue forward. Whilst you play the Hero but are in truth the Anti-Hero, and I mean in the trope manner. You are a person who tries to be good but does evil to do good, unlike a Hero who does good to do good. It is at the point where you chose to do an act that can be labeled as evil that you lose the rights to taking the high road.

>>50820415
That's rough but fair Valeria.

>>50820426
Theoretically there are various ways to solve the problems of the Middle East. One is to allow them to quarantine their entire people away, they have requested this before but not in recent memory, so that they would never have to bother with the other tribes. Some pepole think that they'd end up 'burning' themselves out in this manner, but I personally have no opinion on the subject.

Another is to do as >>50820446 says.

Exalted query -

Reading the books, it seems like even the lowliest mortal can resist the strongest social attack or charm just by paying 1 to 3 willpower. What's up with that?
>>
>>50820495
Gosh, you'd think they were just begging to be purged wouldn't you?

Social Combat is a horrendously made system.
>>
Is Mardukth planning on working on Fair Folk or Lunars next? Regardless, where can I go for more info on the Raksha?
>>
>>50820499
The social combat system is kind of broken. The unspoken intent is that your average mortal is never going to spend Willpower, because he's got a limited supply and can't afford to waste it just on refusing what is, to him, a perfectly reasonable argument. Only exceptional characters, the plot relevant ones, will actually spend Willpower. But that doesn't really come through. That said, it is pretty easy for an Exalted to drain someone's Willpower to the point they can't resist social attacks, so it's not a huge problem in gameplay. It's still clunky and dumb, though.
>>
>>50820526
Graceful Wicked Masques, and then the Scroll of Errata to see everything they rewrote in Graceful Wicked Masques, which is most of it.
>>
>>50820499
Well you aren't really supposed to know to pay the willpower if the charm effect isn't obvious.
People always do since not doing so is suicide, but outside of mechanics you wouldn't necessarily know it's an attack without some kind of experience in the matter.
Normal people don't have much will to spend either so doing that once or twice is enought to leave you helpless.
>>
>>50820508
>>50820531
>>50820541
...Oh. I see.

>>
>>50820499
When you are a Mortal get ready to be shit on unless you are a Heroic Mortal who knows how to use Essence. You see here's how it works Social Combat works by moving opinions to new points or lowering opinions of old points, as with conversation in general debate. Spending willpower is the equivalent to sticking your nose up in the air and just ignoring the argument outright with no thought to logic or the conversation in question, basically being a stubborn ass. It makes rolls against such things harder unless you come at the problem from a new angle. A Mortal can, in point of fact, just shove his fingers in his ears and start shouting "LALALALA!" to try to ignore a Exalt/God/Essence User but that merely makes it more difficult for them, and with Excellencies they can just overwhelm that difficulty with sheer success and pay attention to my words at least aura/presence. In addition to this is the fact that the average Mortal has 5 Willpower, 2 of which he deals with his day to day problems with and on average gets back at a rate of one a day, with restful days being used to top him off. Because of this they have barely enough willpower to spend it on an argument with a 'higher being' should you run out of willpower at any time you'll end up a slave to your virtues which means that you'll almost be naturalistic in nature. Hope this helps.
>>
>>50820499

>>
>>50820559

>>
>>50820558
>It makes rolls against such things harder
Harder? Isn't it a flat failure when Willpower is invoked?
>>
>>50820631
In the tic, as in literally second, that your start being stubborn yeah. However, any new attempts, even just continuing the conversation, will up the difficulty for the scene by 2 IIRC and that doesn't stack. An Exalt will basically start at you and when the going gets tough they railroad the conversation until you are faced with their facts. AKA: It sucks to be Mortal around Gods/Exalts/etc.
Basically this >>50820559 is what happens. See how he just takes over the conversation and throws her completely under the influence of his voice. At the end she's so enraptured with what he's saying that she isn't paying attention to what he's doing. This is a decent way of looking at Social Combat, you can be stubborn all you want but Mortals are kinda crap at it.

...I'm still not entirely decided.

I'm kinda wondering if I should go with the Devil Tiger I once played (which would have themes of Serpents, Masks, Marble, Crystals, Grandeur, Glory, Greatness, Exaggeration, Excess, Hyperbole, Illusion, Hype, Masks, Mountains, Size, Fortresses, Laughter, Trickery, Frenzied Activity)

He was a Malfean Defiler, but had some Ebby influence... Basically bluffed his way through everything. At one point he tore a Slayer apart, and then scared the rest of his pursuers off his back... with 1 mote left, and practically no chance to survive if it failed.

Turned into a bit of a Mardukth-like Devil Tiger, except his HUEG was basically a lie. His entire Devil Tiger was build around bluffing and pretending to be the most powerful being to ever walk Creation. Ended up being sort of world-serpent/Jörmungandr type deal.

Or I should go with something more fitting to my chain, in which case it's probably something to do with Prisms, White, Color, Lights, Gems, Diamonds, Relaxation, Sleep, Sloth, Creativity, Divinity, Hedonism, Pleasure, Luxury, Benevolence, Amusement.

Not entirely sure what this Primordial should look like though...

Any thoughts on these, Justice?

Because that's.

Also by the sound of things I'm getting a mix of Seath, an axolotl, and the Aztec deity Quetzocoatl (bigass feathered snake, who's sometimes a dude) as one possible shintai. Though by the sound of things he'd likely have other more abstract ones.

Maybe the ultimate jouten one could be like that mountain range-sized dragon in DS3's Archdrake Peak. That Shirou is a guy called Amakusa Shirou who was summoned as a Servant in the AU version of the 4th Holy Grail War. Primordial themes are... pretty broad. They encompass your Primordial's appearance, behavior, and all that stuff. My list's actually fairly short compared to canon.

You could distill my stuff to the core of "Bluffing" or "Pretending to be Mighty" too.

Malfeas is the Demon City, and his themes are all of these:

Malfeas: cities, cyclopean architecture, vastness, arrogance, hubris, glory, terror, callousness, cruelty, rage, self-loathing, self-harm, pain, power, authority, tyranny, war, the green sun, the Slayer Caste, promontories, palaces, monuments, armories, daiklaves, razor harnesses, drums, horns, cymbals, the riwannon, brass, green iron, emeralds, black marble, basalt

...And then his charms further include magic radiation, and radiation sickness, and crowns, and spears.

I have different opinions about different installments of the Fate franchise. As a general rule I prefer Nasu's earlier works to the later ones where fanservice became more of a priority. KnK will probably always take the cake, and after all's said and done Z and SN solidy share second place for me because I've yet to read the Tsukihime visual novel.

And if you are who you think I am you seem like an awfully defensive fanboy and unwilling to admit it has any flaws whatsoever, and we've had this conversation before. You can call it stellar writing, and I can call it a blatent piece nostalgia fanservice to get otaku bucks. I doubt we can even agree to disagree on that front.

And it wasn't productive then, and I doubt it will be now.

>>50821541

Just seems like you leaping to judge something you haven't read again, considering your post didn't really apply to the situation and was just you using it as a chance to shit on the series more.

If you want more details. Amakusa Shiro is based on an actual person and the most he and Shirou Emiya share is that their faces look alike. The resemblance is purposefully used so that the surprise of who and what he is later is actually a surprise. Unlike your post, there are no contrived reasons connecting them at all and even what does connect Apocrypha and the rest of the Fate series barely comes up at all. But you'd know that if you knew what you were talking about instead of just mindlessly shitting on it because it's not Kara no Kyokai.

Oh yes, that's the most obvious and main advantage of a DT: You can act and think outside your themes with no penalty beyond your Charms possibly not being very designed for them depending on how you've developed them, and in theory it should be much easier for you to design appropriate Charms to do so than the Primordials of old.

The apple? Well, I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about how it works. If we assume it's comparable to the ones in the books, Jadis said she felt like she could never grow old, which doesn't really answer the question. Diggory feeds one to his sick mother later and she just recovers from her illness. It seems very defined by the user's will and whether or not they plucked it with Aslan's approval.

...then again that might not be a good assumption, considering those apples don't grant immortality on Earth at all.

Which was a longass way to say there's no clear answer, sorry.
>>
>>50822051
>there's no clear answer
If no one else has a better answer, I'm just going to go ahead and assume it works the way I want it to.

Well, or they care about something enough (some intimacies/motivation) that they agree with your logic and reject it anyway. Persuading a gate guard to let you through, ok. Persuading a gate guard whose daughter will be killed if he lets anyone not on the list through? He'll use his willpower.

It's just that important people tend to be the ones with that kind of situation.

>>
>>50822294
It's not really jumpable, even once they're done. Once I finish notes I've gotta go over it and fix any problems I see, see if there's anything left that I wanna add and then ask a few people I trust to look over and tell me what they think and make any changes I think are needed then. Probably stupid of me to have put a set date on the release of this.

I mean, if you want I can post it but your build would probably get screwed over if I decided to make any changes and I wouldn't really pay attention to much critique on it right now.
>>
>>50822449
That's fine, I'm flexible. I just wanted to go ahead and get a rough idea of my build because I have a spot in my chain saved for it.

Updating it after FSN is finished. It'll probably happen a couple days after this one is done? Maybe more. Most of the new stuff is already added, so it'd mostly just be boring updating it with new content or reformatting it so it's not laid out in the most confusing way ever.

While anon said it in an unnecessarily roundabout way, powerlevels get fucking stupid in lore. Admittedly, it's mostly contained to the non-earthly characters (who still take part in the Ancients thing), but the jump starts at the lore version of Reaver ("A massive axe capable of tearing whole mountains down.") with all the mythic assumption that involves and works around that.

But is any of it as good as +6 Treants?

600-800 CP.

Still figuring out how Imports are actually going to be (50 CP for 1? 100 CP for 4, to get that game symmetry? They already get power freebies, so maybe a Jumper CP > Companion CP funnel instead of big starting CP?).

I'm probably overthinking it.

If you take a non drop in origin does that mean that your replacing the canon character in the Holy Grail War?

Are they still around or can we choose to replace them entirely?
>>
>>50823323
It's just based on them, you only replace them if you take their class of Servant and choose to replace them. Even then, depending on who it is, they may either summon another Servant or still take part in some way.

Since there's no 3.5 board for me to ask questions on any more, I'ma put them here:

How dangerous is watching over drizzt from childhood onwards?

Is there anything that can't be solved by enervating it to death?

Why are all the elder evils super easy to deal with?

What do silver dragons keep when in a different form? Like, does the DR/ disappear? What about the arcane-cleric casting?

Thanks /jc/!
>>
>>50824493
>How dangerous is watching over drizzt from childhood onwards?

Not too bad, he's an adventurer, you just need to keep him from getting too far over his head, he can carry himself.

>Is there anything that can't be solved by enervating it to death?

Anything immune to negative levels? So most undead, IIRC, as well as anything that bothers to take the proper precautions.

>Why are all the elder evils super easy to deal with?

They're heralded by a massive warning, there's a book that explains exactly how to stop them IRL, so if you've read that, you're good. Plus they're only, what, CR 25? You can get start than that just by throwing points at the problem.

>What do silver dragons keep when in a different form? Like, does the DR/ disappear? What about the arcane-cleric casting?

They lose anything that comes from the whole "I am a giant death lizard" thing, such as their AC bonus from scales, their claws, and their breath weapon, but apparently retain their DR. Huh. Did not recall that. They explicitly keep their spellcasting.
>>
>>50824493
1. The guy constantly gets into a lot of trouble he really shouldn't survive on his own, but he is fairly good at what he does.

2. Undead are usually immune to those kinda of spells, among a whole host of other things. Disintegration is a better choice overall, but still not a one-stop shop for killing things.

3. Boss fights in 3.5 generally assume the party has about half their resources left when they actually reach the Big Bad of a campaign, so their CR isn't always a great measurement of their danger level. Especially when a couple of bad rolls can leave a party down someone vital when they show up. As a Jumper with all kinds of Meta knowledge on the subject, they're a lot easier than it would seem otherwise.

4. Their spellcasting and DR stay, but they lose a lot of their AC bonus, reach, and other stuff that comes from them being giant death lizard.
>>
>>50824493
Most undead are immune to ennervation, but you can solve that question by spamming healing spells at them or just dropping them in the positive energy plane
>>
Do dragons keep their senses? Like darkvision and blindsense? What about their immunities to cold and acid?

Is there anything keeping you from enervating elder evils? I've looked through it, and neither the hulks nor zargon are immune to negative levels or negative energy.

Is there any way to find out what drizzt needed plot armor for without reading like twenty books? According to the FR jump, I have to protect him for seventy years.

>>
>>50824734
Yes, yes, yes, no if the book stats don't say they have that protection, and no.

Just keep in mind those elder evils aren't going to just stand there and let you enervate them.
>>
>>50824734
>Do dragons keep their senses? Like darkvision and blindsense? What about their immunities to cold and acid?

Yes. To all of that. Looking at the description of the ability, it looks like all they lose are their " natural weapons, natural armor, and movement modes of its original form, as well as any extraordinary special attacks of its original form not derived from class levels". Everything else seems to be retained.

>Is there anything keeping you from enervating elder evils? I've looked through it, and neither the hulks nor zargon are immune to negative levels or negative energy.

If it's not immune to negative levels, go for it. I'm somewhat surprised that they're not, but hey, the designers have made stupider oversights.

>Is there any way to find out what drizzt needed plot armor for without reading like twenty books? According to the FR jump, I have to protect him for seventy years.

Read the wiki I guess? But again, he's an Adventurer. Those suckers aren't just lucky, they're also pretty darn good on their own merits, so you shouldn't have too much trouble.
>>
>>50824828
Oh, and the Silver Dragon alternate form ability also resets their physical stat modifiers, so they go from Dragon levels of strength to human levels if they take a human form. Forgot to mention that one. Also their size changes, which I feel compelled to mention only in the interests of completion.

I usually go by my actual name, or Aegis if code/cape names are a thing in-setting. I'm looking forward to bullying the Wards member into changing his cape name when I get to Worm. There can be /only/ one.

There's a bit of a meme where I get called "Red King" by my associates, mostly for the Alice in Wonderland jokes but also because they know I take color seriously and that using generic names for deliberately chosen specific shades agitates me.

Not going to get into recounting the various "THAT son of a bitch," and other exasperated utterances. Also, it's not quite a title, but I've been described as "the unholy offspring of John Carpenter's /The Thing/ and David Bowie's fashion sense." Its... uncomfortably apt, actually.
