I'd like an option for Velvets...Semblance? Aura? Weapon? Whatever that was. Mostly because i'm a big fan of copying powers and techniques.
>>
>Mages

>Have a spell for any situation, can function on offense, defense, or support
>Can do lots of useful, everyday tricks outside of combat
>Get sweet robes
>Can summon up minions whenever they feel like it
>Studying the mysteries of the universe is more fulfilling then just working out every day

Seriously, why would anyone not do a magic build?
>>
>>50797753
Because there's a visceral thrill to punching something in the face. That said, it's often possible to use magic to enhance your face-punching skills, so still study it even if you want to be a face-puncher.
>>
>>50797536
I'd like an option, admittedly high CP option, to be a maiden. Season powers a best.
>>
>>50797711
>Copying a weapon/power that copies other weapons/powers.
But yeah, more Semblance options would be nice.

>>50797536
Perk to be a Maiden in exchange for it being expensive and coming with a mandatory drawback.

Something to replicate Raven's portal opening thing and her and Qrow's power to become a bird. The whole Summoning thing Weiss and her family have. Maybe Silver Eyes, since they don't seem to be that big of a deal given that the Salem WTCH Project doesn't seem to see them as a serious threat?
>>
Is the Belt of the Infernal Battle Armor just as indestructible as the Aegis of the Overlord? I prefer my armor invulnerable.
>>
>>50797753
>Not taking a social build
>Not getting a million billion allies to do all that for you
>>
>>50797829
Probably not as indestructible, given that the Aegis of the Overlord is designed to be tough as shit, but artifacts in Exalted tend to be ridiculously tough.
>>
>>50797829
In general, artifacts in Exalted are extremely durable. They're not completely unbreakable, but armor will almost never fail in the line of duty, someone has to be intentionally trying to destroy your armor instead of hurt you directly in order to do it.
>>
>>50797536
A cybernetic limb(s) option under Augments, probably discounted to Students and Military. Also, I guess something else discounted to Drop-ins and Criminals to even it out.

>>50797780
My only concern about that is that their powers are still so vaguely defined. Maybe all our questions will be answered before the season's up, but I wouldn't count on it.

Maybe ask for the jump to let you swap genders for free, then you can just go collect the powers yourself?
>>
>>50797853
>>50797860
My main concern is that I don't want to be naked after being hit with some horrible fuck off beam. Would it be more durable than a physical focused jumper?
>>
>>50797536
Enough Semblances so that if you import a Full Team, they can each buy and have a unique Semblance. Maybe have two for each Origin, on top of Represent and Abyssal? And not just carbon copies of canon Semblances.

An option like Aura Implants and Dust Grafts that makes you a Grim Hybrid. Maybe make it discounted to Drop-Ins and Criminals, complimented by a Cybernetic Enhancement option as >>50797879 suggests for Students and Military.
>>
>>50797879
>Maybe ask for the jump to let you swap genders for free, then you can just go collect the powers yourself?
The gender swap isn't a problem so long as it's offered or you can shapeshift. The issue with acquiring it yourself is that the process doesn't guarantee that the maiden abilities will work outside of that jump.

I'll grant that they're partially undefined, but making it an expensive option and spelling out that they're season-themed powers would be enough IMO.
>>
>>50797828
>he whole Summoning thing Weiss and her family have
That's kinda covered by the Abyssal Semblance
>>
>>50785934
YJ_Anon,
Can you transfer memories with Deal With The Devil? Skills?
If you use healing magic with Faustian Bargain, does it go back in time? Would a resurrection spell make it like they had never died? Would a curse show up years before the deal?
Can you transfer Spirit of Justice with a Devil's Deal?
If you retcon a kingdom with Faustian Bargain, does it retroactively use your policies?

>Not being a Magic Knight with Magitech Equipment.
It's like you want to be taken off guard when someone with decent Antimagic shows up.
>>
>>50797881
I think the Armor has more chances of surviving a horrible fuck off beam than the jumper wearing it.
>>
>>50797881
In universe, it requires a ridiculous amount of effort and charms specifically designed to destroy them to...erm, destroy them in universe. Yes, it will be more durable then most physical focused jumpers.

>>50797992
Yeah, but Weiss can seemingly summon anything she beats/kills. She summoned the sword of that one knight thing from the White trailer to slice a mech into pieces.
>>
>>50798013
Doesn't Drain No mean there's no such thing?
>>
>>50797753
Because it's more fun for me to go Punch-Fight.

Generic fantasy world. Crush drawback enemies then have adventures.

The real draw here is finding the Dofus so I can become a god. My followers, Jumper's Doves, look like Homestuck Trolls. My commandments deal with peace and justice.

I'm a little shy about being worshiped though. The people willing to worship me are the ones most willing to follow my ideology anyway, and turning them into aliens is just going to put people off and turn them against me. Plus I'm a really shitty god, what with not being able to hear prayers.
>>
>>50797919
>Maybe have two for each Origin, on top of Represent and Abyssal?
>Student: Sight
>Combat precog, can see more of the future with meditation/large aura expenditure
>Future gets fuzzy after a while

>Criminal: Parasite
>Can drain aura/ki/lifeforce from others to replenish your own
>Can absorb aura-based attacks if you have time to react and the power difference isn't too great

>Military: Boost
>Passive Semblance, the physical boosts granted by aura are much stronger for you than they are for other people

How are these? I'm stuck on drop-in, which probably needs another "meta" Semblance.
>>
>>50797992
Given the hardlight nature, I think Highlighter would fit better.
>>

Eh. Forgotten Realms as a Cleric, then learn to be an Initiate of Mystra, then. You can use magic even in places where magic doesn't work. Of course, you have to be a Cheater of Mystra, but whatever.
>>
>>50798023
>>50798026
Excellent, that will serve my needs well then.
>>
>>50798138
For Drop In, what about something like Ozpin's ability, which allowed him to move so fast (or manipulate time) that he created after images while he destroyed the projectiles that Cinder threw at him.

...actually, how did Cinder win that fight? From what we were seeing, he had the upper hand and was winning almost casually.
>>
>>50798243
Maybe he used a lot of Aura for each of his abilities and she just outlasted him?
>>
>>50798243
>Ozpin threw the fight so Cinder would destroy Arkos
It all adds up.
>>
>>50798243
From what some people assmad about the plot last season have told me, there was literally no one capable of causing her any significant problems, so clearly it was her plot armor.
>>
>>50798272
But what is his true ship?
>>
>>50798284
He ships a Yang/Jaune/Sun threeway. He has a thing for blondes.
>>
>>50797141
Would the If It Bleeds perk work on Dementors if your "knife" is a lightsaber? Because, well, heck, I want to go lightsabering my way through an army of Dementors.

Hmm. What's the plural form for Dementors anyway? Army? Horde? Nest?
>>
>>50798284
Lancaster. Ruby has silver eyes, and Jaune caught Tyrian's interest, so there must be something there. Pairing them together makes sense.
>>
>>50798138
Drop in can negate supernatural powers with Jam, maybe they get one that lets them do the opposite and supercharge the supernatural?

Might be too powerful for companion focused builds, however.
>>
>>50798166
There's a capstone perk for that in M:tAw. Unbound Casting, I think? I'd reckon it'd work on magic armor.
>>
>>50798272
>Ozpin is a Shipper
I'd buy it.

Besides, he wouldn't be the first monstrously powerful yet mysterious figure to Ship people.

Harry/Hermione for life!
>>
>>50798319
A sigh of dementors.
>>
So, I started getting into jumpchain finally after meandering around wondering if i should start or not, and after a handful of jumps I'm wanting to categorize the pdfs i pulled from the drive better, but first I want to pull out all the final jumps

so other than drangonball, which jumps are fully considered final jumps?
>>
>>50798371
That's the only one. Any other endjump has a scenario, +0 Drawback, or something in that vein.

>>50798138
Change Military to something Movement related. I'm not sure what, but none of the current Semblances are movement related. I like Parasite, i'm bored of precog Perks but I'm not sure what else you could change Sight to (although I like the idea of Student having something that makes them better at gathering information). Make it so that the Drop-In Semblances works similarly to Blake's Semblance, but instead of your self, it somehow allows you to generate Clones of enemies.
>>
Is arcane fate from sidereals worth taking? The 'written records of you fade away' part is making me want to take it, but I don't really have the cp.
>>
>>50798319
No. Dementors have no special vulnerability to lasers or plasma. You'd need something which could actually damage them, like (for example) magic weaponry from D&D

>>
since when is tenchi muyo a jump that grants you a spark? the endgame scenario is for a setting specific uberperk after which you continue your chain.
>>
>>50798611
This is the worst fanwank I've ever seen.
>>
For those of you who have jumped Hero BBS, is it common to companion anyone besides the Dachi sisters? Seems like the swords are really popular, but I'm curious to hear about other choices that jumpers took.

I'm probably going to grab Tsundachi anyways, but since I'm going to start a new chain with Hero BBS, I'm considering inviting along a veteran or retired Hero as a mentor and possible future romantic interest.

I'm assuming Sky Garden's Magician is popular for his brand of powerful magical insanity, but I'm sort of wanting to go for someone different (or in addition to). Maybe Princess Shrine Maiden with her drunken antics, one of the Battle Maid trio for scary violence, or Legal Loli for foul-mouthed shenanigans?

Anyways. Who did you companion from Hero BBS?
>>
>>50798625
>is it common to companion anyone besides the Dachi sisters?

A full set is expensive and I think they're a must have.
>>
>>50798611
>since when is tenchi muyo a jump that grants you a spark? the endgame scenario is for a setting specific uberperk after which you continue your chain.
You are both retarded and a newfag. Congratulations, you have discovered a way to multiply two negatives and get a negative.

Dumbass.
>>
>>50798621

Why then does "Dimensional Technology Mastery" give the usual "this doesnt give you the power the jump/travel universes independently" that other dimension travel perk do.
>>
Is there one build in Infernals that didn't go Devil-Tiger. Even remotely one.
>>
>>50798705
No, because not going Devil Tiger is stupid.
>>
>>50798007
Yes to memories and skills.

The healing would, but the resurrection would resurrect them after they died instead of making it look like it never happened in the first place. Curse is okay if they agreed to it.

Spirit of Justice can be transferred.

As for the kingdom, that's a no; it'd still be in the same state as it was when it was traded to you, it's just that others would think it was you that ruled it instead of the king. You could change policy afterwards though.
>>
>>50798693
Look guy, it's a 3 part jump with the final part being an end jump. Those final three perks are purely part of the end jump scenario. You get them for taking the end jump scenario, not for finishing it. Which is to say that you can use them during the end jump.

It's been that way since the jump was created. There has been zero change from when the jump was first created and hashed out in thread. The jump maker is gone and no amount of complaining about it months, if not years, after the fact will change that.

Find a new bone to chew.
>>
So with continuing to improve your soul whether through perks like Strong Soul or just things like making it a self contained universe and all the other stuff you do as an Exalt/Devil Tiger, do you think Aura scales?
>>
>>50798705
I used Orphan-Cub to effectively inherit a Devil-Tigered Exaltation from myself, and became a Yoziclone of what I would have been as a Primordial.

Also, the only paths other than Devil-Tiger is to either stop growing or become a copy of someone else. What are you even expecting?
>>
>>50798625
I married the queen I saved and companioned her, although I used a return to do it.

She's a good, effective leader. Very patient. Very soft for cuddles ^u^
>>
>>50798705
There's no other point in the jump existing.
>>
>>50798705
Unlikely. Why bother trying to assemble the powers you want out of other Yozi's themes, when you can design the exact thing you want?
>>
>>50798581
Actually the clause that says "it's gotta be a pretty fair fight" is when you're fighting things like "really big gods".

Aha, here we go: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/35484924/#q35489860
>Go ahead, so long as it's something small enough you, personally, are using it. Being the guy aiming an artillery piece or piloting a spaceship doesn't count. The key is that; it's not magic, it's not some insta-death thing, and it's you personally. The dramatic tension is the key.

So a lightsaber should be fine, so long as Jumper plays to the camera and goes mano-a-mano (mano-a-wraitho?) against the Dementors.
>>
>>50798705
Exalted's devs have explicitly come out and said that not going devil-tiger means you're getting played as a sucker by the Yozis. As much as they can in a gameline thry've also tried very hard to emphasise vagueness and personal autonomy in.
>>
>>50798705
Depends on what you mean.
Didn't get Orphan Cub? I know I didn't get it
Didn't get the Inner World/Demons Perks? Those are really cool, and rather pricey. 1100 points for the full set, ignoring Akuma.
Didn't go Devil-Tiger in-universe without perks? No reason not to, at all.
>>
>>50798508
You need to be able to hurt them in order to kill them. The perk doesn't get rid of all resistances and immunities, it just means that when something dies it stays dead. Dementors can't be hurt by physical means, therefore If It Bleeds won't let you kill one with a lightsaber.

>>
>>50798272
>>
>>50798611
It is not, actually. Check back in the archives, Muyo Anon said that this was poor wording on his part and it's intended to be an end jump, with those "uberperks" being post-spark bonuses like some other jumps offer.

>>50798693
Again, poor writing on Muyo Anon's part.
>>
>>50798461
If you like being socially invisible then it's nice, but the side effect of being socially invisible is a bit of a pain.
Having it on a toggle is amazing in jump though since you'd be the only sidereal in setting to be able to do that.
>>
>>50798625
I only plan on Importing a couple Companions. I only bought Dandachi, sans Personality. For the record, I Imported the Stake Driver from Bloodborne.

>>50798705
Exalted: Infernals
Origin: Savant
Caste Yozi: Adorjan
Favoured Yozi: Szoreny

Perks
Savant’s Understanding
Architectural Madness (100cp)
Demonic Bartender (200cp)
Hateful Wretched Noise (200cp)
Perfect Reflection (200cp)
Primordial Psychiatrist (300cp)

Gear
Arm of the Anathema (150cp)
Chimes of Silence
Mirror of Kagami (100cp)
Seeds of Potential (400cp)

Companions
Unwoven Coadjutor (50cp)
Perfect Circle (300cp)

Drawbacks
Remembering a Past Life (+0)
Horrible Coadjutor (+100cp)
A Hellish Rival (+200cp)
Demon Hunters (+200cp)
Love of Adorjan (+200cp)
Return of the Infernal Jumper (+300cp)

This is a tentative build I made. I try to avoid popular choices and walk the path less-traveled. I plan on using Temple of Thought from Binbougami Ga so that I can wield all of my Infernal Might with the Exaltation of my choice (which will probably be Sidereal or Lunar). Keep in mind that I'm only have about the first 20 or so Jumps set in stone, and I plan on putting this somewhere very near to the end, at least past the 500+ Jump mark. Also, my totals might be off.
>>
>>50798536
You combine and become an even greater dick then you were before.
>>
>>50798734
I'm not complaining and yes I understand how and when you get the perk. It's just that the jump doesnt mention the spark so I assumed that it was chain-continue afterwards.
>>
>>50798788
Look. The only Exalts worth getting are either Solar (which we should've gotten before fucking Terrestrials) or Infernals for the Devil-Tiger. Until we get Solars, there's always going to be only One Build for Infernals.
>>
>>50798625
My spirit familiars. The jump lets you customize what sort of magic the setting you land in has. I ripped off Totemist Quest because I miss Diarca. So I podded my most useful spirit allies.
>>
>>50798705
Without out of jump methods to live longer you burn out if you don't. There's also no real reason not too. Like you dont' lose anything and gain a fuckton. It's just how infernal progression works.
Going Yozi is ID death, even a Yozi of yourself is bound by your themes.
>>
>>50798812
Thank you for clarifying
>>
>>50798779
Heh. It'd be ironic if Dementors could actually be easily killed by a bullet to the head, but the wizards never figured that out because of assuming if magic couldn't kill them nothing else could (and the fact that a muggle with a gun is usually too busy getting their soul sucked out to be able to shoot straight).
>>
>>50798812
Tenchi is an optional end-jump. It's always been an optional end-jump, that's why the jump mentions that it's a three-part jump. It's two full jumps, albeit with slightly different rules, with an end-game, spark granting, scenario.

>>50798841
I dunno what to tell you, dude. It clearly says that those three perks are part of an endgame scenario, and the top of the doc states that, as mentioned, it's a three part jump. Yes, it doesn't say spark, but endgame should clue you in to the fact that its ending your chain.
>>
>>50798844
But going devil tiger isn't a build?
It's just what happens when you don't settle for subpar flexibility.
>>
Can you buy Beart and Soul without Descending Hierarchy and just make a Fetich soul with one of your souls from the Charm later on?
>>
>>50798862
Your lifespan increases based on essence levels. You don't need to devil tiger to increase essence.
>>
>>50798844
I disagree. Devil-Tiger has nothing to do with what build you make as a jumper, anyone can get it. Even the enhancements the perks offer are things you could hypothetically attain with Heretical charms. So you could do all sorts of builds and have the awesomeness of Devil-Tiger go completely undiminished. People are just frontloading the experience, which I personally think is foolish. But you can do other builds.
>>
>>50798900
It's a dude being an asshole, anon.

It doesn't matter if you disagree.
>>
>>50798885
>Tenchi is an optional end-jump. It's always been an optional end-jump, that's why the jump mentions that it's a three-part jump. It's two full jumps, albeit with slightly different rules, with an end-game, spark granting, scenario.
Yes. Sorry, now I'm the one phrasing things poorly. I mean that the "fuck up the Choushin's plan" part is an end jump. That is optional, though, as you say.
>>
>>50798892
Eventually you still burn out.
Takes much longer, but 3000ish years and the exaltation just quits.
Theres also the part where if you dont' get age breaker charms you burn out before you get old enough to reasonably get essence 6, but that's another story.
>>
>>50798844
Look. Your ideas of "worth" are insufferable, obnoxious, and worst of all tautological. This is fucking imagination game, not a vidya. I think fate ninjas are cool.

And devil tigering has no bearing on actual builds for hhe jump. So keep your opinion crammed up your ass, where it belongs.

You are a literal powerwanker caricature. Byour own logic, half the jumps on the drive shouldn't exist.
>>
>>50798916
Fair enough then.
>>
>>50798891
Devil Tigers can't do fetich souls.
The perk lets you do psuedo versions of fetich souls.
You dont' need the real deal since you're soul already fills that niche and in fact can't normally have them since you're soul does that.
This is a good thing since if your fetich dies you experience ID death of the worst kind.
>>
What kind of technology would I be dealing with Scientist of Madness from Hyperdimension Neptune?
>>
>>50798921
That's true for Solars too, though. The only way to live longer than around 3,000 years as a Solaroid is with specific charms or a hearthstone.

No, I get that. I just want to know if I can buy Beart and Soul without Descending Hierarchy and make one of the souls from the Charm version into the pseudo-Fetich?

Escalation in Underworld is...weird. Every supernatural powerhouse gets upstaged or betrayed as time goes on. Selene is the only exception; she only gets upstaged or betrayed as a plot device to make her even more OP. But it's really ridiculous in the latest movie where she gets her ass handed to her by a scrublord second rate Death Dealer and some rando genetically modified werewolf henchman when she should theoretically be the most powerful being on the planet. THEN, she gets some supernatural dreamquest speed bullshit that let her oneshot the latter. In a series where vampirism is supposed to be a viral mutation.

And before you ask-go up north to the Nordic Coven, take a dunk in the icy cold water and maybe get strung up in a cocoon for a while.

I'm sorry for Exaltedposting, but a question:

Given the perks for willpower around, plus how difficult quantifying points of "Compassion" is, how the hell does one figure out how many Third Circle Demons could be created using the charm The Path of a Thousand Whispers, going off of their little formula below:

>The Infernal may have up to (Willpower + Compassion) Third Circle demons created by this Charm in existence at a time.

I think FMA alchemy might be better for that actually, since it operates based on leyline manipulation to describe and integrate matter and energy-up to and including things like souls, and in the case of the Father entity Truth itself briefly (it went badly, badly wrong for him in the end).

You'd probably spend a lot of time drawing out the formulas for those though, so it's best to have an automated writer of some sort.

I'm sorry to say this is a classic case of Exalted's mechanics not meshing well with the chain's wider context. If I had to hazard a guess I'd guesstimate in terms of less how nice you are as a person, and to what extent Compassion (not to be confused with actual compassion) as described in Exalted rules your day-to-day decision making to figure out your rating, with 2 being a human average. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to be literally Mr. Rogers to have more souls; SWLIHN and some First Age Solars went full greater good but are considered to have extremely high Compassion because their alien expressions of it define what they aspire to achieve. Other alien paradigms for Virtue apparently exist out there.

Speaking of Divine Magic, I've been trying to math it out how you'd be able to consistantly not die casting it if you had megas therion and only used it the ability to cast divine magic.
Since the target is normally 10 and it goes up by 8 it's pretty difficult, but a controlled node like the city reduces it by 3.

So with 15 as a target you'd need a pretty high Pow score to not die. Strong Soul puts you at 13 IIRC, but that's still pretty risky since failing at all fucks you up and failing by more than 3 causes massive traumatic soul damage.

However if you get to 18 then not even a fumble can cause failure and you could keep divine casting at the ready constantly.
What I'm wondering is what kind of soul perks would be necessary to get that kind of soul strength.
I'm thinking that being an Undertale Human would go a long way, but I don't just want to rely on that. Does anyone have suggestions?

Training time for a Charm is a few days, but that doesn't capture the fact that you need to earn the experience points to pay for it too.

Even Exalts who were thousands of years old would only know a few hundred Charms at most, but young Exalts seem to learn new ones much faster than that. Ultimately, it comes down to fanwanking it, but Dreams of the First Age offers character creation rules for different Exalt types at various ages if you want to try to stick to canon.

What would be some good torments for the various Yozi? I read that the ones in the Infernals book were just examples and that your torment could be any punishment suitable to the themes of the Yozi it came from.
>>
So I got in thinking this was a CYOA in the same vein as those novels that you pick paths in. Is it more like a set of writing prompts for you to narrate your own idea of an adventure? As in - if I "jump" essentially I pick my perks and make up whatever I want for plot?

People discussing balance rules in such detail made me expect the rules to be much more in depth or detailed...

I mean, I was looking for where tou start the pokemon after filling out your starting traits... Like how do you actually play?

>>

>>
>>50799614
Well since temporary buffs and equipment buffs just plain don't work for nodes that limits the options a bit.
Going to a setting like Tales of Demons and Gods and training up would let you get a super stronk soul though.
Or just, you know raise your stats by training in general? You get more stat points every two levels and even if you aren't running off straight game mechanics you can still be expected to be able to do something similar.
>>
>>50799820
Yeah, but the Deathlords are bullshit and knowing every Solar Charm is just a convenient way to make them strong without writing a stat block for them.

The official character creation rules for a 1,500 year old Solar only allow them to buy up to 167 Charms unless they foolishly skip out on raising their Essence to 10, and I think Chejop's writeup gives him less than 200 Charms altogether
>>
>>50799614
You only need 14 power to never fail (+1 minimum roll and +3 stabilized node bonus), so Powerful Soul and any other boost has you there.

Symbiote is easy enough to survive in if you stay out of America. Quite a mental leg up if you go symbiote yourself, nothing stops you from buying the synergized pair perks yourself and putting the meat puppet to sleep either. Regardless, amazing self-biology manipulation and femtotech.

Hero Cooperation Exchange Board is a good starter jump, although if you go insane with drawbacks prepare for a bad time. Has a good blend of magic and swords, meta and fun. With plenty of senpai to help you out on the way and free 8 companions to start a chain with.

Monopoly gauntlet sets you up in money and advantages in future jumps if you win. Which isn't hard if you use the jail/buy/railroads tricks. Plus you have good old uncle pennybags as part of the family.

Samurai Deeper Kyo is easy enough to survive in if avoiding plot, good buff to survivability if you go true mibu with killing aura and jumper style to boot. Rurouni Kenshin is also worth a mention in that regard, go bro with Kenshin and never explain knowing his style.

Sims 3 is easy enough with good starting perks so long as you avoid upper end drawbacks. Valhalla has comfy bartender time in a cyberpunk dystopia so you can hang out with interesting personalities if you can stand the place.

Mushoku Tensei is a good starter but unfortunately people tend to underestimate it and take chain ending drawbacks and handwaving it away. Has a good spread of everything in it.

Muppet treasure island, mad men, and Fire Emblem Elibe are also good ideas.

People use /jc/ as a writing prompt, to live out puerile fantasies, as a thought exercise, to find and learn about new IPs and different kinds of media, and for a billion other different things. Basically, use it for whatever you find is most interesting/enjoyable/constructive, don't let other people dictate how you play the thing, and try to act cordial when posting. People in /jc/ are really easy to bait and we have a few posters who are dedicated to stirring up trouble by trying to run off content creators, enforce their methods of playing, and fill the thread up with garbage posts by needlessly attacking and lashing out at others. Try to take things in stride. We've had over a thousand threads, which comes with a lot of baggage, so try to avoid taking things personally.

Long way to the top with no means of long life or immortality. Because actually 100% destroying fighting god and his armor is not a simple task at all. I want to go back+enemy flaw, any of them. Curse of stone+crusades+long way given all your abilities are sealed, you & companions go stone and need someone who fits a very small criteria worldwide to not only steal the spell from the heart of your enemies of not!christianity/muslim fanatics but also read the chant which takes up an entire book the size of your torso. Go back/any x hates/reviles you to not get killed in the crib. Metastasis for anyone not outside of the Asura continent given your chance to not end up inside a rock is 50/50. Orstead or Hitogami+long way to the top, even without the upgrades has you on the worst back foot with no outside context means to survive while having to somehow achieve defeat fighting god in one blow tier of strength.

It would make sense if you're effective score per splat with regards to charm minimums was seperate, but having more than one essence rating would be weird.
I mean raising your essence is enlightenment and each exalt type has it's own way of doing that.
So one way of enlightment might not help with learning a different set of charms.

It takes thousands of years to get essence ten and it's actually hardest to get as a dragonblooded to the point where none of them have ever done it.
You're just memeing about this, but I figure the answer is important for those who might be reading that don't know.

Not like anything in exalted is close to omnipotence, but that was just a joke right?

It's probably a lot safer to go to Infernals first, since the stronger the Exalt type the more likely you are to survive the decade.

Of course, by the time you're a thousand year old Infernal, being a Dragon-Blooded too is basically chump change.

Isn't that partially because they're comparatively weak as fuck and because their lives aren't extended as much by Essence? Jumpers don't really have that problem after 10 years are up.

>>50800498

Nah, man Dragon-blooded still have some good passive defense and environmental Charms. They're still worthwhile even then.

So in Sidereals, the Chosen of Endings capstone sounds like it's for killing those Neverborn or Yozi dudes, if I'm understanding this setting right. But they're some sort of next level ultra-BBEG megagods, right? Is that even a plausible thing to try and do in this jump? They seem super hardcore.
>>
>>50800720
The Neverborn are Primordials(Yozi) who were killed, just not completely. That is the whole reason the Exalted were created, to kill Primordials.
>>
>>50800720
They've been punched out before, though it was by the Solars. That being said, I doubt a Sidereal could ever hope to take on the big name Yozi by themselves, and working in groups usually fucks them over.
>>
>>50800614
I believe the charm you're looking for is Transcendent Gaian Harmony.
You have to pick up aspects one at a time and you can only buy it once for each dot of essence you have above 5, but at essence 9 you'll have all of them.
It's actually better than what you posted since it removes the mote surcharge for out of type charms as well.
>>
>>50800709
>People call Dragonblooded weak, but I will always and forever love their Charms for empowering their companions.
I'll never understand why the Terrestrial jump doesn't offer a troops option, the ability to lead and strengthen your soldiers is pretty central to Dragon Blooded. One of the things you decide at character creation is "how big are your personal forces?".
>>
>>50800720
Trying to fight the Yozi or Neverborn as a Sidereal and alone is suicide.
You're going to want an army of high essence solars + all the backup in existance.
If you get the final blow with the chosen of endings capstone you would be able to prevent even more neverborn from existing if you miraculously killed a Yozi, but thats very unlikely without fucktons of OOC stuff.
Not like you can even kill them without ghost eating technique.
They can't die at all unless you use something specifically designed to slay spirits permanantly.
>>
>>50800788
It's probably because that would be hard to explain moving to another universe with you, and it's left assumed you get your troops in-universe.
But that's just the first explanation that popped into my head.
>>
>>50800720
There are rules in the Abyssal book for fighting them. They max hardness, an ability that reduces all successful damage rolls to 1, and 50 in all soaks. So technically you can destroy them but it's like beating at a bolder with your sword.

>>50800794
>army of high essence solars
A circle of Essence 5 Solaroids can do it.
>>
>>50800806
One at a time maybe.
Marching on Malfeas is not a good plan to try with just 5 solars at middling essence.
>>
>>50800821
I wouldn't call 150 people an army. There is a reason 10,000 Dragonblooded were made when the Exaltations were crafted.
You want an army of Dragonblooded led by Solars.
>>
>>50800806
Can't Ligier take on a full circle of Essence 5 Solars?
>>
>>50800794
You are jerking them off a bit. An army of high essence solars would actually be pretty overkill based on how strong they are supposed to actually be in comparison to primordials.
>>
>>50800050
Why would that have anything to do with it? The premise isn't well explained to outsiders.
>>
>>50800720
The Exalted are confirmed to have killed at least six Primordials: Mardukth, Jheel-Khan, Lykennan, Ta'akozaka and Hunanura were killed during the Primordial War, while Ramethus fled into the Wyld and was killed following its return during the Aftershock War. There are a few others whose fate are unknown, they may have died or have been imprisoned and just not relevant to the Reclamation so they're not mentioned. Regardless, killing a Primordial is an incredibly difficult feat, and they all team efforts involving multiple Exalted working together (except for Mardukth, Merela somehow strangled him to death. The Queen of the Ochre Fountain was hardcore). But killing them is possible.
>>
>>50800806
It takes a circle of essence 5 Solaroids to face just one of the top tier entities (Yozi/Primordial/Incarnae/etc.).
>>
>>50800821
>>50800848
Oh sure, there being multiple all with their own armies and souls is why they needed an army of Solars in the first war. Just saying, for one, you just need the circle and not an army.

Neverborn are even easier, they're just damage spongers. No armies or demons to protect them, their ability to attack is more limited, and the other ones can't help them. The only servants they have are rather pitiful except the hekatonkeires and all of them avoid going near the Neverborn themselves.

>>50800835
Ligier is a rival of the US. The US himself can be taken out by the circle of essence 5 Solars if they play things right. So no, Ligier is similarly possible to defeat.
>>
>>50800845
Unfortunately it doing so creates a neverborn which is really fucking bad.
>>
>>50800834
I think it was said they had around 20-30,000 Dragonbloods in the end after the big orgies the initial 10,000 got up to.
>>
>>50800869
The problem with the Neverborn, if you forget about the Endings capstone, is that "Killing" a Neverborn drags them into Oblivion, and drags down Creation with them.

>>50800879
That's why I said "when the exaltations were crafted". They waited a little bit after the crafting before they attacked.
>>
>>50800845
What's always struck me is that the majority of Primordials who were straight up killed ha the most violent sounding names of heir ilk.
>>
Is there anything that would allow me to use "ki/aura/lifeforce/spiritual power/etc. sense" to detect people who are masking theirs? For that matter, what are some perks to see more mundane types of invisibility?
>>
While we are on the topic I had a question concerning numbers.
MoEP: Lunars says there are 300 Solars and 300 Lunars. is my info correct that 50 of those solar shards were turned into abyssals and another 50 into GSPs? or am I wrong?
>>
>>50800918
It's left up to the storyteller what physically killing a Neverborn does. We just know two things, that the Neverborn believe that destroying creation will crash it into the Underworld and the force of it will unclog the toilet and sent them down the pipe into nothingness too, and that flushing the Neverborn in any way will result in the Underworld going too even if Creation is fine.

Which would suck because there are some nice ghosts there that shouldn't be forced back into reincarnation. Like the loli orphan ghost senator.
>>
>>50800972
100 were turned into Abyssals, 50 into Infernals.
>>
Think a level 10 BBS character could take a Primordial? What about several level 10s?
>>
>>50800972

>>

>>
>>50800991
Depends on the Primordial. Some of them are too strange or big to be attacked without concept hax.
Like one is an endless desert. Literally infinite in scope.
How do you fight that?
They'd also need some way to permakill things that normally revive after a time to even kill them in the first place.
If they don't have that then a primordial would just sit at 1 HP till the end of time no matter what else is sent it's way.
Sure they could kill it's fetich soul to change the Primordial, but finishing it off would be out of reach.

Not like they should want too. Neverborn are several times worse than primordials. You don't want to go about making even more of them.
>>

Mardukth
>>
Could a combat-specced Infernal or Devil Tiger defeat an equally levelled combat focused Solar in a straight fight or is the Solar basically always going to win?

Mardukth is doing it.

>>50801066
>Some of them are too strange or big to be attacked without concept hax.
>Like one is an endless desert. Literally infinite in scope.
The thing people forget is that the Primordials/Yozi are at the end of the day Puzzle Bosses. They all have one big glaring Weak Point that you can mercilessly take advantage of if you figure it out.
>>
>>50800751
>each dot of essence you have above 5, but at essence 9 you'll have all of them.
Above one actually, you can have all the elements by essence 5 and if you buy it again after that an undetermined thing will happen.
>>
>>50801066
Neverborn are more incompetent than Yozis though. They have like one competent Deathlord who wants to actually destroy everything, the rest just sit around and act like huge fuckups.

Hell she's currently busy feeding her own mommy complex too, so not like she's always a threat.
>>
>>50801092
Probably. It really does depend on their individual builds, there are a lot of ways to approach combat. But yes, Infernals are roughly as strong as Solars when it comes to combat.

Two. Walker In Darkness is doing a pretty good job.
>>
I wonder, could you use Deal With The Devil to "buy" 5 dots of Essence from other Exalts so you don't have to wait a thousand years to max out?
>>
>>50801092
"Maybe". Is the best answer I can give. Because it depends on several factors, like "what type of combat did they spec for" for the Solar, and "Which Yozi's combat charms did they grab" for the Infernal.

The Infernal is GOING to be tougher, they have tons of soak, they have tons of health, and they can ignore wound penalties.
The Solar is GOING to be a better straight up "fighter", but the Infernal has more odd techniques that even the odds.
But it's hard to tell off of such blind information.

>>50801167
>How would a circle of e5 Infernals fare against either?

>>
>>50801123
Not with just that. There are limits to how fast you can raise your Essence, given the existence of spirit charms like Endowment that can grant dots of it. You'd need other out of context perks to be able to just grab a bunch of Essence dots all at once like that.

>>
>>50801167
Infernals have no charms for killing Primordials/Yozi/Neverborn, because they use Yozi Charms and Yozi can't kill one another.

>>50801177
One Sidereal let herself get captured and faked being converted into some Deathlord's slave. Well, sorta faked. She did this thing where there's a trigger for when her real personality comes back and her body has its own personality that's just like the Deathlord wants. Except, she is also the slave of most of the male Deathlords and one of the female ones, who have all taken her as a lover and who think she's working for them to spy on the others. So she's everyone's sex slave and helps everyone's plans as their little assassin except when she's working for one of the others and being their sex slave/assassin.

Her methodology is completely retarded and it's questionable if her real personality can even come back before she helps someone kill everyone. Plus her cover is like, gigaslut tier. Luna thinks she needs to close her legs.
>>
>>50801214

The Green Lady is a Sidereal on a super-deep cover mission. She's managed to infiltrate the organizations of about half the Deathlords. Through various Sidereal disguise charms mixed with Resplendent Destinies, she's got like forty different identities. Many of them are infatuated with one or another of her identities, and Walker In Darkness is actually in a relationship with her. Some of them even know she's a Sidereal, and just think that they've managed to subvert her. This might be true. It might not be true. She's either got serious multiple personality disorder or is running the longest con possible, just waiting to quadruple-cross...someone. Let's just hope it's not her superiors in the Five-Score Fellowship of Sidereals.

>>50801214
Walker In Darkness, Bishop of the Chalcedony Thurible, Mask of Winters, and Bodhisatva Anointed By Dark Waters. Oh yeah, Deathlord names tend to be pretty flowery. That's something the Neverborn inflict on them and their Abyssal servants. And some of them know she's a Sidereal. The ones who don't she just has fooled with a LOT of Resplendent Destinies.

Item for Sailor Moon Jump.

Nerf, buff, leave as is?

Moon Technology (400 CP, Discount Senshi) - You have access to the technology humanity used to travel the solar system and colonize the planets in the solar system. You can create a livable, artificial series of domes people live in where plants can grow and breezes flow. You can create magical weaponry that harnesses the power of people’s emotions to power them. You can also implant bits and pieces of yourself in an AI that can act as a guide for whoever uses something or arrives somewhere.
>>
>>50801377
I would argue the best Crafting Charms in Exalted just make it so
A) You always have the best Workshop available, even when you have no tools, due to a Mind Hand
B)You complete your work EssenceX faster. So if you have 5 Essence, you craft something 5 times faster.
>>
>>50801403
Looks good. Is this an item or perk? I'd normally assume item but it does mention creation and that implies knowledge rather then just having the tech by itself.
>>
>>50801403
Leave it like that imho
I assume the 600 item is the Silver Crystal knock off you mentioned?
>>
>>50801453
Hm...I thought it would be an item, but now that I think about it, it seems more of a perk than actually having access to the tech, which should be a seperate item.
>>
>>50801399
Chronologically, the most you can do in the same timeline will be Fate Zero, Tsukihime and Fate Stay Night though I believe each crosses over a few years into the next one. Everything else is either Alt Universes or far in the future.
>>
>>50801403
That seems like a perk, not an item.
>>
>>50801475
It was 400 CP, actually. I was actually organizing the jump for WIP posting and I noticed I never posted the tech per for criticism.

I'm considering adding resurrective properties to the silver crystal knockoff and bumping it up to 600 CP (Although it won't be as strong as Usagi's silver crystal. It can't mass revive people like hers could, and it could probably only be used once every year), but this is only an idea I'm considering.
>>
>>50801147
So is there any indication of what you might become if you integrate all five elements?
>>
>>50801403
Maybe make it a repository of knowledge/plans or smt like that?
>>
>>50801343
Item Creation EX from Fate lets you make up to A ranked noble phantasms which is awesome for conceptual stuff. Getting Genius from Rick and Morty is also pretty good considering the stuff Rick creates.
>>
>>50801534
You mean if you integrate all five and then take the step beyond? No. I like to think you'd become attuned to Theion To, the original hyper-catalytic form of Vitriol before it was corrupted by the Yozi's hate. Theion wanted to make it the sixth element of Creation, but was convinced not to. There could be some hidden traces of it in Creation's geomancy, though.
>>
>>50801534
Assuming you mean getting all five and then buying the charm again then nope. There's never even been an Essence 9 Dragonblood let alone an essence 10 to try it an find out.
It's the sort of thing you work out with your ST if it ever comes up.
If I had to guess it would involve being more like Gaia since Terrestrial exaltations are derived from her in a way.
>>
>>50801403
Looks good, maybe detail that it's a database of the technology they used and how to make it to make it more item like?
>>
>>50801568

I've thought of the Void Relic Refiner from Warframe and the Defragmentation Device from Blame! as an overall buff. Exalted aside, I would say Chrono Trigger's Guru is a massive force multiplier to any such techniques you'll learn, Trigram Knowledge and Alchemy from Journey to the West is the basis of a device that was briefly used to contain Sun Wukong (who is goddamn RIDICULOUS), you can acquire a crafting perk in Viking Saga which grants you the skill of those who forged the mythological Thor's hammer and because Elven Enchantment from LOTR can be used to make One Ring-like things it potentially scales with yourself.

The latest paper mario jump isn't on the drive.

so, this may sound a bit weird, even for this thread but...
are there any perks that would allow me to become a specific person's child?

Skull Slime mentioned that he still wanted to touch it up and add some more stuff to the Constellation options.
It's jumpable as is, but since it's technically still WIP that's probably why it's not on the drive.

Sidereals have a charm for that. Brother And Sister Revelation, lets you designate any sort of familial relationship you want between any two people as metaphysically true, even if it doesn't make sense. Then just use a Resplendent Destiny so everyone remembers you as being their child. Bam, you're their child. The charm doesn't work on beings outside of fate, though, and post-jump that applies to a lot of comic beings, so don't try to inherit powers from gods that way.

I've thought of that. Glories of the Most High: The Unconquered Sun explicitly says the Exalted's perfect mental defenses can break the addiction, while the Primordials are inherently immune. Hence why I intend to create a jouten out of my own Exaltations through similar Charm technology conceptually similar to the basis with which Adorjan has seemingly integrated her daughters into her charmset, or how Gaia's Essence is tied to that of Creation. My Spiral Exaltations are technically byproducts of my own soul, after all.

>he Primordials are inherently immune
See, it says that, but Adrian obviously became an addict. Her attitude changed from care-free and flighty to obsessive and aggressive, to the point where she'd lash out at the others for wanting a turn at the games or whenever she lost at them. So while they may not be effected by the 'instant addict' aspect of them, they can clearly become addicts the old fashioned way.
>>
>>50801947
Or the series is just being inconsistent between books again.
>>
>>50801960
Considering we treat Exalted as a real universe within the context of the chain, we need to reconcile it somehow.
>>
>>50801971
You have fun with that.
>>
>>50801971
Just treat it like errata when it comes to contradictions.
Pick which you like best or work out some kind of compromise.
Trying to hamfist two contradictory explanations is asking for a headache especially with a setting like exalted which was written by dozens of people who didn't communicate with each other at all most of the time.
>>
>>50802007
The thing is, it doesn't have to be a contradiction. There are two types of addictions. Physical, and psychological. It could be that primordials can only get the second type with the games, as indeed, anyone can have a psychological addiction to any and every mundane thing around them. Could be that the games have some kind of essence reaction the Primordials are immune to. Wouldn't prevent the gameplay from being so good that they crave it because everything else now seems bland.

Yeah, I figured the exact level of "immunity" depended on the entity in question; Primordials are people too. Most of them were allegedly unable to relate to lesser beings, yet Gaia and Autocthon defy that. Theion was somehow greater than the rest, and the interesting thing about his charmset is I get the impression this was partly because the other Primordials BELIEVED he was greater than him since his Chamrs are enhanced by the acknowledgement of his authority. And most of them "awoke" from Cytherea's ignition, except for Oramus who was somewhat self-aware before he existed technically.

Adrian was always a bit of a loose cannon, really. In Zen-Mu's time she seems to have been their frontline defense against the Unshaped hordes given the other Primordials' cast down the songs of their agony into her while she encircled their lands, and Fond Remembrance of Adrian describes her as "annihilating". She was also the one recorded to come the closest to the Shining Answer considering she witnessed the low-hanging red star said to herald it. Small wonder a similarly unattainable and enticing but more convenient goal made her so absorbed.

Anyway, given I catalysed my ascension into Primordial-Devil-Tiger missing linkhood with the Daystar's flames instead of anything belonging to Adorjan I hope to be able to develop in a way that avoids that sort of attachment.

One thing I never got - do Circle Demons count as companions?
>>
>>50802254
No. 3rd and second circle demons are literally you and so they don't count as companions.
However should a first circle demon achieve citizenship and therefore personhood they'd be enough of an individual to count.
Mardukth was considering letting them stick around in your inner world as inactive companions even if they did that though since having to leave them behind or stuck in stasis would suck.

If it's a status effect in Final Fantasy, e.g. being poisoned or being turned into a toad, you're immune. If it's a status effect that isn't in Final Fantasy, e.g. being turned into a sheep, you're resistant.

Ribbon Bearer is ridiculously good value for your precious CP - and even if you restrict the immunity strictly to status effects found in the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games, it's still incredibly good.
>>
>>50800333

I consider it to be worth the price. InNomine said it was based on the Golden Asp, which is top of the line as far as small magical constructs go (stats in Wonders of the First Age, p109).
Literally superhuman levels of intelligence, wits, manipulation, dexterity, perception, lore, combat ability. None of its stats weaker than an average human, even given its tiny size.
Not counting the fact it's got the centuries of experience since the First Age (and may know the location of juicy First Age artifacts or secrets).

If you locked this thing in a dark room with a low-level dragonblooded or a dozen mortal extras, I'd put money on the Black Iron Spinner to win (well, victory isn't /that/ certain, but still, I'd play those odds). As an advisor/mentor, it outclasses any mortal.
The ability to drag things that are Outside Fate into fate is very good as well.

Search your heart, Sister. The Cult of the Emperor was necessary, as was the Emperor, but it is not the end toward which humanity strives. It is the Jumper, flawed and ordinary but with near limitless potential, that best represents all that humanity can attain. The Jumper, traveling from world to world, taking on the traits of that worlds branch of humanity while still carrying all the weight of all the previous iterations of humanity, is the best servant and ruler of humanity.

It is only right and proper, then, that the former Daughters of the Emperor wed themselves to the Jumper, and take up the creation of his Cult. They, who saw one of the great fonts and flowers of humanity, who carried the light of the human spirit into the darkest places, know just what humanity needs.

Search your heart, Sister. You know this to be true.

Humanity needs something greater than itself to strive for. You can carry the same message across the stars in your name or the Emperors, but only in the Emperors name do you stay true to his ideals over the eons and remain an uncorrupted bulwark against the darkness, both without and within.
>>
>>50804479
No, humanity needs something greater than itself to strive toward. It is not enough to be driven with the lash of fear, they must strive with hope toward something greater, something they can attain and participate in. Will the great ocean of humanity ever rise, en masse, to the heights of the Jumper? No. However, by exhibiting the traits and taking on the cultural understanding and learning of the many iterations of humanity the Jumper shows the full flower of what a human can be in the singular, and what humanity can be as an aggregate.

This is the message of humanity: the individual can reach great heights and when taken as a whole all of humanity can rise, powerful and majestic, to pierce the heavens.

The Jumper and the Cult of the Jumper are what humanity needs. The Emperor was an important part of that, but he cannot carry it to completion in the way the Jumper can.
