Jump #10: Harry Potter

Half-Blood - 100 * All the best wizards seem to these.
Middle Class - 0 * Me.
Gryffindor - 0 * Where dwell the brave at heart..

Brave At Heart - 0 * See?
Occlumency - 0 * I'm great at poker.
Setup Wizard - 200 * I’m going to make a fortune selling magical dish washers.
Non-Verbal Specialty - 100 * Useful.
Windless Magic - 500 * Much more so.
Giant Blood - 200 * Yo, what's the weather like down there?

Fellow Marauders - 200 * Friends.
Wand - 0 * I could cave and make a dick joke. But I'm made of harder stuff than that.
Wand of Elder - 250 * Why not?

Statute Scrapped * Yeah, let’s do this.

Prophecy + 100 * Oh, the wizarding world isn't going to be my fan anyway.
Saving People Thing + 200 * Sure.
Prisoner of Azkaban + 300 * K.
>>
>>50789674
First thing I'm doing is going to Azkaban. That place is a serious violation of basic human rights and the wizarding justice system is apparently all kinds of horseshit. I’ll burn away the Dementors with the Fires of Justice and look upon the souls of the inmates. The innocent will be set free, the repentant will be set free if they agree to a binding oath to be do no harm upon the innocent, and those who cannot be redeemed will face the Penance Stare.

I’ll then personally escort Sirius to Pettigrew and let him watch as the rat’s soul burns in righteous vengeance. Then I’ll expose Quirrel for what he really is. I honestly can't remember if he got possessed by Voldemort against his will or fid it on purpose, but it doesn't matter too much; I’ll revive him After burning out Voldemort's soul. After Dumbledore sees this, I’ll tell him of the Horcruxes and tell him not to be an idiot who tries on cursed jewelry.

At this point, after destroying Azkaban, I’m probably a very wanted man. So I'm bailing out of Britain, across the pond to the US of A. I don't have any grand plan for revealing magic to the world. I’m just going to start with flamboyant shows of magic in lots of public places and empowering people with Aura and revealing how to empower others. Eventually the obliviators won't be able to keep up and the Statute will fall apart.

And since the jump sets my age to 11 and I don't have any way to change it yet, I'll do it all as a 4 foot tall flaming skeleton.

Dammit, OP.
>>

Why not just get Presence Concealment skill?
>>
Actually, let's post Servant builds. Your own or your servants, doesn't matter which.
>>
>>50789725
Let's see all those NPs.
>>
>>50789691
Azkaban is why I set my sights on being minister for magic, frankly. Sure, wizard prison isn't for rehabbing people, but if the death eaters can be practically ready to go as soldiers after being locked up for a solid decade, then why bother to put dementors there? All it does is torture the less-guilty ones, because clearly the guilty ones aren't having problems with them.
>>
Jumpers!

Have you ever been imprisoned, detained or otherwise incapacitated? How did you get out of it (if at all)?
>>
>>50789743
You're assuming Azkaban was designed to store prisoners. I always figured it was designed to store Dementors.
>>
>>50789756
They found it full off nothing but immortal suffering ghosts and decided it would make an awesome prison, evidently the ability to use magic takes up brain space usually used for other things.
>>
>>50789756
You know, that would not surprise me at all...
>>
>>50789747
I got turned to stone and then taken for collection by the Lopt once but Colress helped save me.

My companions usually bust me out after figuring out that I got captured or I just use my magic to break myself out. I'd imagine that it just won't work sooner or later, so I need a plan to somehow contact my companions one way or another.
>>
>>50789743
So what was THAT campaign like? Make Magic Great Again?

>>50789840
I'm convinced that their ability to use logic never develops completely because they learn that common sense doesn't apply to them before they hit puberty.
>>
>>50789691
The idea of you being an eleven year old flaming skeleton running around just entertaining people and teaching them aura is very amusing, somehow.
>>
>>50789840
Correction - they found it full of immortal suffering ghosts who get hungry and go hunting if not fed.

>>50789858
Right? If you have to feed someone to the Dementors it's easier to justify criminals than any other kind of sacrifice.
>>
>>50789914
I cracked up a little when I realised that halfway through writing it out.

Whoa boy, I'm kind of starting to regret whining about getting boring worlds where nothing can challenge me. No, actually, you know what? This is exciting. It's good that I'm in a universe where I can't just run roughshod over everything.

By the time I'm done asking my mailbox to explain the universe to me, the Asari have already landed on Nomanisan and are having their questions about how an island suddenly appeared on their planet politely delayed. I warp in, grab Giffany, and warp to the Citadel to let her loose in it. She quickly contains and hopefully subverts, the Catalyst. Either way, she lets half of a Reaper through the portal before cutting it off mid transit to prove that the Reapers are a real threat. We can parlay that into a chance to get Feferi appointed Troll ambassador to the Citadel and work on getting the humans, whose support I'm assured of through perks, a seat on the council.

I meanwhile will be warping to every unused planet I can find and covering them with Zerg swarms. Between unifying the species and getting them to gear up for war and my own swarms of alien locusts, we're in a great position to fight off the Reapers once and for all. Then it's just back to playing politics with a side of jaunting off to have space opera adventures for the rest of the decade.

Man, this is exactly what I needed. A mix of fun adventure with a happy ending, a chance to apply my science skills to new problems, and diplomacy with genuinely alien cultures. I wish all universes could be like this.
>>
>>50789901
Well, I was on record as taking out Voldemort three years prior to the election, so it's basically 'hi, I killed Voldemort, vote for me'. Considering how things work in that world, that's basically good enough to get damn near anything I want.
>>
>>50789747
Spent a few years in the Outer Void during a LOTR jump that went wrong.

I tried to impersonate Aragorn to get to Arwen (long story) and it sorta worked for a while but we crossed paths with a group of nosy elves and one of them saw through me. Called me Helma'Wethrin.. like skin-deceiver? Hard to translate. Next thing I know I was banished outside of the world. There were no doors to open. I spent almost all of my Jump there, so about a decade. Felt longer though. Or shorter. I couldn't see shit. And there were... things. Not very nice things.

3/10 would not recommend.
>>
>>50789972
You can't really cut things off midway through a Mass Relay. They're less wormholes and more hyperspace roads. They create paths along which things can travel much faster than usual, rather than directly linking two points. Even getting into and out of the warped space isn't through portals, it's some sort of phase transition that happens more or less instantly. So you can't bring something partway out of a Mass Relay by shutting the door on them as they emerge, it's either through the Relay or not without a middle ground. The worst that would happen is that they'd be stuck in the relay's corridor of warped space and have to go back to the other end to get out. Also, multiple things can ride on a Mass Relay's path at once, so you wouldn't get one Reaper coming through, you'd get dozens.
>>
>>50790082
Welp, just going to have to join up with Shepard and capture Sovereign alive instead. Or maybe just convince people that I know what I'm talking about by proving that I can do magic.
>>
>>50789691
Wait, is this Pokemon Aura? You can teach people that!?
>>
>>50790206
He's probably talking about RWBY aura, which you can awaken in others post-jump.
>>
Would it be too much of a wank to say the Jackal you can buy in Hellsing is a revolver instead? To distinguish it from Alucard's and just because I prefer revolvers.
>>
Weird question, but do we have a Cookie Clicker jump?
>>
>>50790206
>>50790221
Yeah, RWBY aura. If you buy a 100 CP book, you can reach it to others.
>>

>>50790250
Oh ok, that did not occur to me for some reason. I'll attribute it to the headache.

>>
>>50790231
That should be fine.
>>
>>50790231
I don't see anything wrong with that. The Jackal's got an automatic fire mode, though, so you'll have to deal with the weird freak of gunsmithing that is the autorevolver if you want it to be directly comparable.

Tell me about your Third-Circle souls.

How do they look? How your relationship with them? What part of you they embody?
>>
>>50790272
Welcome to a universe that has an unnatural obsession with cookies. Here's the keys to a bakery, I'll be back in 10 years, try not to end the world in a storm of eldritch grandmas.
>>
>>50790381
I was curious, how's the progress on DC Occult? It had a lot of neat stuff I was interested in.
>>
>>50790389
Just don't recruit the grandmas and it will be fine.

And don't let them get the idea of make cookies.

In fact perhaps it would be best to avoid that universe altogether.
>>
>>50790461
The first five Third Circle souls I made were the Pan-Ku Eggs. Beings with simple minds but strong Essence, their forms perfect spheres and their Motivations directed towards the expansion and preservation of my Inner World. They were each ritually sacrificed in a process involving the Solar Circle spell Wrath of the Five Elements, dispersing their Essence throughout my nascent universe to form into elementals to shape and grow the world.

After that, I haven't made any new ones. I have, however, used a Heretical charm to elevate my Unwoven Coadjutor to the rank of Third Circle Demon. She was an agatae, the beautiful crystalline wasps that serve as mounts to greater demons. She's still a giant crystal wasp, but even larger and grander. When she's not serving as my mount or emissary, she likes to nest in the temple-manse at the center of my Inner World, playing with her First Circle grandchildren. She's got kind of a nice old grandmother feel to her, just one that is a wasp that could devour the world.
>>
>>50790461
I only have one properly written up yet.

He's called Green Grass of Home and Prosperity Everlasting, and takes the form of one of my tattoos. Of course, he can move freely on and out of all of my bodies, so he can get pretty intimidating. More specifically, he's a 2D (chinese-type) dragon made out of leaves and branches.

He represents the part of me which desires "family". Of course, being a complete domineering hermit for millenia and using questionable means to enhance my ability to feel and care for others... well, to keep things short, everyone who worships me is family in my eyes, and is treated as such. Still, he does respect and care for more traditional family units, specially where it concerns children (whether that's because the role they have in a regular family is equal to the role my worshippers have, or simply me projecting is something I can't quite make up my mind on. Not sure I even want to get an answer for that, either). Him taking exception to the way a fair amount of modern universes do foster care is a large source of conflict, as he is every bit as subtle as me. Which is not at all. But I usually don't mind him fighting the good fight, though I imagine the Third Circles lower on the hierarchy will take exception to him mucking everything up.

He has two 2nd Circles written, as well. One is a new-age prophet type named Bethlehem. Except, you know, for the part where's legit magic and legitimately cares about his people. He Reflects the more religious aspects of Green Grass, and is superbly skilled at breaking the narrative. The other is a Kenshiro type hero named White, who Protects the aspects green Grass embodies. His deal is that he ascended the Perfected Lotus instead of just having a bunch of power as his nature, and is just as capable of teaching others to do the same.

I'm basically God to Bethlehem, while White is just glad I legitimately care for my worshippers.

I was on vacation for most of the past week or so without a computer other than my phone and I just got back last night and am starting to work on it again. But I'm going to try to have it finished by Christmas.
>>
Hey, was the Spirited Away jump still being worked on? Or did something happen?
>>
So, having shoved a solar exaltation into a jar, how do I get it to bind to the person I want?

Iirc, it has some sort of pseudo-memory which accidentally creates some sort of reincarnation cycle? How do I clean that?
>>
>>50790775
Jumping on this before shitposter gets to it:

There was some drama, Dirge_ has gone to Spacebattles for the foreseeable future, who knows what's going to happen from there. It's a convoluted mess that if I try explaining will just cause more drama.
>>
>>50790796
Ah, okay.
>>
>>50790775
Dirge is still working on it. You know how he is, he'll disappear for a while and then dump a huge amount of jumps all at once.
>>
>>50790784
You can't. Even the Primordials have to find someone worthy before they can shove an Exaltation into them. The best they can do is interfere in their destiny to prevent them from Exalting as a Solar (for example, by making sure the individual fails or dies so they then qualify for an Infernal/Abyssal exaltation), they still had to qualify to become a Solar in the first place.
>>
>>50790812
He's not disappeared. See >>50790796
>>
>>50790832
I meant in the sense that he'll go a long time without posting anything.

Also, looks like Heavens has abandoned us too.

>>
>>50790796
Heavens is also now in SB.

First Red, then Dirge_, now Heavens... This place is really falling apart, isn't it?
>>
>>50790784
You can't. Exaltations choose their own hosts, the best you can do is give it a general criteria for selection. Getting them to bond to a specific person is essentially impossible. As for cleansing the memories, the god Lytek has tools for that. It's also possible with sufficiently powerful sorcery or artifacts of your own making. Not really worth it to wipe them completely, though, those past life memories are useful. Better to just wipe any sense of identification with the last holder of the Exaltation, so they can't influence the new host.
>>
>>50790891
Sadly, the shitposter has gotten what he wants, basically.
>>
>>50790867

>It's quieter and I don't have to wade through shitposting to keep up with things.

Well...

I mean...
>>
>>50790909
Bullshit. Don't act like there's just one shitposter. This is our fault as a collective unit for all being shitty (myself included, at times, I'm ashamed to say). I'm glad those jump makers are gone. Maybe they'll be treated with decency by other people.
>>
>>50790461
I already wrote up the minotaur who whips the world into the shape he wants, but other ideas include a clocktower that has no numbers and works to ensure that things stay in existence, rather people, ecosystems, or reputations, and represents my desire to prevent anyone from permanently dying; a field of beauty that just follows me everywhere I go and makes the whole world look, sound, smell, etc better representing my love of sensation, and a giant tentacle monster who is constantly caressing dozens of hot demon women, shoveling food into its mouths, and doing drugs made from distilled emotions, who represents my hedonism.

>>50790784
Keep the Exaltation sealed until your next jump. Commit soul surgery on your intended recipient so that they have the proper Hun/Po structure that the Exaltation is programmed to recognize as a host and that they're properly heroic. Then just let it go. It will Exalt them because they're the only thing it can recognize as a heroic human.

>>
>>50790891
It's not hard to see why. Every time you call someone the shitposter, you're filling the thread with more useless drama. Sometimes this thread just feels like a screaming match between poorly-adjusted autists. If you evaluated posts on their own merits, instead of getting so triggered, this place would be much more appealing. The shitposter wouldn't get what he wants, people are willing to attempt reasonable discussion, and information is revived and preserved for future anons. The shitposter, vile piece of shit that he is, is not solely to blame. He can't bring the thread to shit by itself, you have to let him

Close enough.

Anyway, for those who care, I joined SB largely on a whim and because I was bored. My hard drive with all my games and shit on it died that damn curse finally caught up to me until I get a new cable or a new hard drive. I was already a pretty capricious individual long before I came here, so this is fairly in-character for me.

Still on vacation from jumpmaking, so it doesn't really matter until I start making stuff again. And anything I make will be posted here first like usual assuming this general doesn't catch fire and die between then and now.

Business as usual, basically.

First thing's to swing by Recettear, convert some money into pix, and pay off all her debt in one go.

For the second part of the scenario, I split my time between conquering the kingdom and dumping advanced technology onto the market through Aloutte's store. By the end of the year, it's a major company in its own right. I then let her tag along with infiltrating Terme to steal evidence (not that I actually need it) and blackmailing them. And once the scenario is completed, that's when the army of Zerg starts forcibly foreclosing all of Terme's assets.

Then it's nine years of conquering the world, again.

>>50791652
It is during mid levels. High levels though are, uh, somewhat silly. Like, when a high level fighter fights, he automatically delivers damage to all mooks within a decent radius, and when people prep high level spells or abilities, reality itself just starts bugging out as a side effect. Also, the highest level spells include things like "annihilate everything within an AU" and "create a new world, and designate all the physical laws" and "retroactively remove target from existence."

Oh boy, talking about Third Circles! How're these?

- The Lights of the Heavens, The Laughing Flames, 23rd Soul of [Me].
Kind of a trickster Deva, a prankster. He makes sure things don't get boring, in whatever way he can. Kind of represents my motivation to do things, and the whole 'amuse the benefactor' thing. Sort of annoying a lot of the time, but at least he respects reasonable limits.
He manifests as something akin to slowly shifting and multicolored northern lights, covering the otherwise empty sky of my inner world. Basically replacing the sun/stars/moon as primary light source.
He most commonly takes a human form wearing a cloak of harmless multicolored fire and light, but otherwise doesn't really stay consistent.
Young boy almost hidden inside the oversized cloak, elderly man with the look of a wizened sage, seductive woman barely hiding her body with the burning robes...

-The Monster of Vengeance, The Slumbering Beast, "Spiky Hill Playground", 17th Soul of [Me].
Violent impulses: the soul, basically. This would be the Deva in charge of making sure justice gets served and the realm is defended.
Mostly manifests as a massive wolf-like monster, with a black hide shot through with red, spikes protruding in odd angles. Sleeps a lot of the time, only waking when he is necessary.
I imagine him acting as an exceptionally aggressive barbarian and a loose cannon, but with enough control to be aimed at our enemies. Whenever he's required to take a human form, it's usually a twelve-feet tall behemoth of a man, horned and clad in black-and-red spiked armor. Tends to give biting remarks and mock 'weaker' beings, as well as advocate creating greater armies of demons.
...He also has a soft spot for children, refusing to harm them, letting them walk all over him (figuratively and literally), and reacting with excessive force to anyone that harms them.

(1/2)
>>
>>50790461
>>50792571
And the third one.

-The Veil of Peace, The Languid Muse, 8th Soul of [Me].
Perhaps the most unusual of my third Circles, she's somewhere between an emotion and a state akin to being drunk.
Best described as a mixture of the contentment felt when you can stay in a comfy bed in the morning and the clarity of thoughts that spring to mind in the shower, it mostly leaves those that "suffer" from it to languidly relax and muse on whatever ideas that spring to mind. Sometimes these creative moments spark great innovations, but usually it brings merely insignificant musings and pleasant distractions.
She is mildly infectious, moving sedately through my inner world, and it normally takes a clear path through the realm guided by her will. While she does not touch those that refuse her call, not many do. Several ways have been developed to bottle elixirs of her emotion, which are (usually) non-infectious, and have replaced alcohol in some parts of the realm as some citizens prefer it to getting drunk.
She doesn't take physical form, only possessing a demon under her sway if she absolutely has to speak to others. But most of the time, she's too shy to speak up. If confronted in her sanctum, she's seen as a delicate young woman with softly luminous skin, flowing dark hair, and shining violet eyes. Usually hiding behind some piece of furniture and peeking out at whoever intruded.

...I still need names for them. And to write up the ideas for the others. (Crystal Coatl Jesus, Prince-That-Is-A-Palace, Genesis/Demon Engineer... which is probably a forest, maybe a lake?)

(2/2)
>>
>>50792351
I've watched a bit of the first season, which i'm obviously going to go back and finish. Beyond that, nothing. I will try to find and read/watch the other stuff too.

>>50792379
Basically, from what i've heard of the plot, people are granted powers embodying natural forces by a tablet. These "Kings" can share this power with others, but cannot be given other powers, and if they die, their power vanishes with them until the next King comes along. If the original holder of these powers go crazy, the giant sword that hangs around them comes down and a huge explosion occurs.
>>

>>
>>50792682

>>
>>50792707

Stray Dog Story, The First, Gakuen K, Lost Small World, Countdown, Dream of Green, Missing Kings (both movie and manga) and Return of Kings (Ditto).

And THEN there is a ton of anime by itself. One film, two series with the third incoming from what I hear and a game. So yeah.
>>
Question. What are some really good charisma perks that make you excellent at lying and bluffing? Cat Wizard is becoming a bit more Constantine-ish than he's comfortable admitting.
>>
I've been stuck on this for a very long time, so I have to ask. Does anyone have suggestions for a Kong capstone in DK? Most of the kongs' basic abilities are present as the 100-tier racials, Cranky's potions are there as the 200-tier perk, Jungle Beat style martial arts are there for 400, so this is the only thing holding back the perk line and the entire jump.

They just don't have many abilities that stand out beyond what's there already, and I can't think of anything about them that can be extrapolated into a somewhat more meta capstone. The few things that are interesting left just don't equate to a capstone. Namely, flying with your hair, bouncing on water, and being able to build weapons and vehicles out of fruit and jungle detritus.
>>

>>
>>50792794
>being able to build weapons and vehicles out of fruit and jungle detritus.
If you were to expand that some it could easily be a capstone. A perk that lets you create junglepunk items and tech. It'd be unique as hell, and the ability to create whole strings of tech and items based off of what's laying around would be neat.
>>
>>50792794
Is that really you?

Anyway, how about getting captured and thrown into a barrel instead of getting finished off by enemies?
>>
>>50792804
Well, if you just decide to completely ignore it – sure.
>>
>>50792833
A strength boost is there as the gorilla racial.

>>50792849
The problem is that is that it'd be competing with the Kremling's tech perk. It's more typical mad science so materials would be rarer, but it can also build more impressive things like giant robots.

>>50792859
Yes.

I dunno, doesn't that prevent you from ever dying in a jump?
>>
Do Third Circle demons (the charm versions) have to stay in your Inner World unless summoned or can you let them roam around in the normal world freely.
>>
>>50792932
Cool, figured you were long gone.

Anyway, just impose some reasonable limits, like it'll only work if your enemy fails to kill you, you're completely helpless until someone rescues you, and it disables companion respawn.
>>
>>50792932
I'm feeling the jungletech perk more, even if it'll have a direct counterpart with the Kremling stuff, but the barrel thing could have a reminder/clause about your enemies just disposing of you eventually. Can't justify keeping you alive forever when you're at their mercy.
>>
>>50793049
They can roam freely.

Unlike the Yozi, you have sworn no oaths of surrender.
>>
>>50793114
Alright, thanks.
>>
>>50792899
I mean, as far as I know, Gakuen and the game are set in a completely different universe from the rest of the continuity with no powers, so why should I include them? I mean, I could make it a 0CP drawback where you get placed in that universe.
>>
>>50793114
How durable is the Aegis of the Overlord? What's the max it can withstand?
>>
Other than the LoT and Asgerd what jumps have star ships that you could host an entire civilization on?
>>
>>50792932
Just make the Kong version more grounded, less science and more engineering if that makes any sense. Also, give it a buff of speed: not only does it work with what you find in a jungle, it works fast.

Not trying to push this, but I do think it has a pretty neat unique flavor and of the ideas tossed out so far I think it has the most merit.

It's just not my kind of perk. I've never been a fan of perks that force villains or reality to act a certain way, it makes the chain feel more like a videogame than reality. This is appropriate for settings that are like that already, but DK isn't meant to.

>>50793267
I might have to go with it and talk up the contrasts if there really are no alternatives. Right now I'm in a situation where I'm sitting on a bunch of partially finished WIPs or CYOAs with all the perks named but unwritten, but where I don't want to dedicate to them because then DK will end up like Golden Sun did.

>How durable is the Aegis of the Overlord?
Durable as fuck.

>What's the max it can withstand?
Pretty much anything,

Drop a nuke on it, and the wearer will probably be vaporised. Drop it in a volcano, and someone will have to learn a charm allowing them to dive into lava to get it. But the Armor itself will be fine.

It doesn't melt. It also doesn't shatter or deform, unless through specialized Charms devoted to destroy nigh-indestructable artifacts. And even then it's hard.

Artifact invincibility is pretty hardcore, and this is superheavy plate designed to be durable.

>>50793360
Yeah, they're not really in the Infernals-specific stuff...

They're in Compass of Celestial Directions: Malfeas and Books of Sorcery: Roll of Glorious Divinity II.

They get some mentions in other books as well, but those two are the only ones that go in depth, having their stats and other stuff.

Wha-then what's the point of the bloody armor if it doesn't defend the one wearing it-oh, it doesn't completely cover the wearer, that's why.

>>
>>50793532
Plus, something can not be harmed by an attack but still transmit the attack. Like, your armor might not melt in a fire, but it can still heat up and wind up cooking what's inside it. Or not be damaged by a strong hit, but still transfer the force to something in contact with it.

Justice has the Twin Fetich Souls of Justice(ToBeNamed, because I SUCK at names) and Love, or at least that's what they represent. The two most important things to him.
Fetich-Justice's true form is a massive building, designed to help those around it. Food, sleeping places, actual court justice, it provides it all.
Love on the other hand is the Sun in the sky of the Inner World, not sure what color she is though.
In their "human" forms Love and Justice look like twins, mostly human but with some obviously inhuman features.
Justice obviously has 21 other souls, like Science(Curiosity? something like that) who embodies how Justice will just go into his lab and make things because "I wonder what will happen if". But they aren't as detailed as the Fetich Souls.

>>50791658
I get the fuck back up, I stop playing "by the rules"(I usually try to play by the rules of the universe I'm in, only bending them a little). I pull out my best artifacts and activate my Final Form and my Super Modes, and I fight.
If I'm still going to lose no matter what? I run, I try to stop them in other ways than a direct fight. Because yeah I want to live, but I still want to try and stop them.

My fetich soul is a giant red moon that sort of has a Jack O' Lantern face. He's incredibly hammy and silly, and delivers the news to my Inner World, as well as giving orders and encouragement to all the demons. He's got a pretty sick evil laugh, too. He can be serious when he needs to be, but for the most part he's just representing my nature as a goofy and ultimately benevolent saturday morning cartoon villain. I named him the Crimson Satellite, the Cackling Moon, the Devil Tiger's Voice.

It's a calm feeling.

Part of calling yourself the villain is, you just have to accept that there are a lot of people who want to kick your face in. I'm probably going to die some day. And, even if it's not a karmic death, or a death by hero, I'll probably deserve it.
I mean, I sure hope I do. Wouldn't that suck, if I died for no reason at all?
But that doesn't mean I just give up. I'll keep fighting. I have the will to live. And as long as I keep living, that means I can keep trying. It just means that when I die, I want to do it in a way that I won't have any regrets.
It's amazing how clarifying that thought is.

All the games I like to play, and all the excuses I like to make, they kindof fall away for a moment. It's like, in those moments, when everything is on the line, I remember what's really important to me.
Things like robot armies and hammy speeches, those are all just games. They're silly things for fun. Things like my companions, making sure everyone is okay, those are more important.
So, I guess I'm prone at those moments to acting more heroic. Even though I'm no hero. I'm the villain! I mean, I chose to be that?
But that means I get to decide what that means.

My companions like to say I seem more "noble" during those moments. Like, I might actually be someone they could depend on! Jerks.
I prefer to think of it as, "I stopped being stupid for a few seconds."

Sidereals

>19 years old
Seems like this sort of responsibility should not be given to a 19 year old. Particularly not a 19 year old pseudo medieval version of me.

>Chosen of Serenity 100
Went Serenity as I like the Charms it has and it was either going to be that or Secrets.

>Arcane Fate 300
Is pretty great for all manners of subterfuge and with the toggle is pretty damn useful.

>Smile Gifting Gesture Intuition
Makes me good at making people smile through various things.

>Always an Ending 900
Lets me know how to kill anything or anyone. I mean it's not going to be easy in any situation where I need it but it's still a potential lifesaver.

>Heavenly Ecstasy Aides
Magic sex toys.

>Quintessence Fountain 1100
Is great and gives me a renewable source of some of the better materials in the setting.

>A Circle of Seers 1200
Decided to go for the import as it was the most economical use of 100 CP left and I went for two companions as there's no point taking just one due to 50 CP leftover. Ended up importing my standard companion I import everywhere and Heather from VtMB who I import in situations like this. Renamed Heather a while ago so now she's Nuala as I know a Heather IRL and it'd be weird.

> Leeroy: Chosen of Battles, Arcane Fate 200, Martial Arts Compendium Memorization, Forceful Invader Eviction Principle 300, Perfected Lotus Cultivating Gardener 500, Cryptic Musing Elocution 600
Gave my second in command Arcane Fate due to the secret agent stuff I sometimes get him to do. Perks make him better at dealing with metaphysically foreign threats, a great supernatural martial artist and let him pick up when people are being cryptic.

> Nuala: Chosen of Secrets, Heavenly Artificer Understanding 400, Cryptic Musing Elocution, Numerological Sorcerous Tutelage 600
Gave a magic and a crafting perk for Nuala as she usually acts as support and she can teach me whatever she got from these perks.

>Could a Sidereal punch someone and turn them into a bunch of flower blossoms? If so, how would that work?
Yes. That's a charm called Pattern Spider Bite, from the Charcoal March of Spiders style of Sideral Martial Arts. It lets you turn people into anything, though trying to turn them into a different sort of supernatural being doesn't grant them any new powers. So you could turn a normal human into a copy of a Primordial, but they're not going to actually be a Primordial, just look like one.

As for what SMA can do, that's actually kind of a controversial question. With the exception of Sapphire Veil of Passion, which is from Glories of the Most High: The Maidens of Fate, all of the Sidereal styles are from Scroll of the Monk. And Scroll of the Monk isn't that well-written. Most people houserule that Obsidian Shards of Infinity and Quicksilver Hand of Dreams aren't available, for example, those two styles are just ridiculously broken. Other styles are okay, people don't have much of a problem with Charcoal March of Spiders, Citrine Poxes of Contagion, or Prismatic Array of Creation, though Kaleidoscopic Border of Logic and Scarlet-Patterned Battlefield have some issues to them. So just read Scroll of the Monk and be skeptical about anything that seems utterly broken.

Yes you can learn ALL the Martial Arts, so long as you qualify for them(Sidereals qualify for all of them).
And you can learn ALL the charms available to your Exalt type. So you can learn all the Sidereal charms, but no Solar charms.
>>
>>50794520
Technically it's Jump-Chan's fault. The drawback isn't causing someone to not become a Sidereal, it's the Benefactor telling her all about you after you accidentally took her place and then her becoming a Green Sun Princess. So really, you don't have anything to feel guildty about.
>>
>>50794550
Shut up, Tuesday.
>>
>>50794532
Yes. Sidereal Martial Arts are the concession that Sidereals have in return for not being able to invent new charms. As a result, they can learn as many Martial Arts styles as they want. Technically, so can anyone else, but Solars are the only others who can learn Sidereal-level, everyone else is stuck with Terrestrial and Celestial. Sidereals are still the best at using the level of kung-fu named after them, though. They get discounts for using their charms that others don't.

>>50790461
The first thing I did when Islinde, the Forsaken Nebula and my second Fetich, popped up in my soul hierarchy was try to kill it. One minute I was in control of my spiritual makeup as I wrenched the Shinma back and forth-next minute all the Spiral Energy starts reacting violently to the Furnace Empyrean's essence I'm chugging.

And then this happy little sun pops up inside of me. Being all happy and shit.

Utterly ruining my future attempts to not be mistaken for Theion.

So I tried to smash it and get on with turning into a Primordial.

When I turned around, the cheeky cunt started to reassemble itself instead of dissipating. And I'd already stabilised.

So then I tried to mentally compell her to stand still and get my other souls to lobotomise her Autocthon-style. Except she was too powerful and passively repelled most of them even as they left scars on her. And my other Fetich pointed out she was a vast reserve of Essence, and we should try to use her.

So THEN I went back to hell to get some advice on dealing with this shit-and Malfeas BLOWS HIS LID and starts screaming about Ruvelia and basically threatening to leave his therapy program if I kill the damn thing.

Currently I've just stuffed her into a gilded cage and given her less status than mortals have within my domain. Oh, and-

"Your name is Agnus"

"No, it's Islinde-"

"-AS YOUR OVERSOUL I command you to be named Agnus. You disgrace my nature, you don't deserve a classy name"

"But I just want to help-"

At the moment, mine's pulling double duty as an massive Essence reactor and the storage space for the tampered Exaltations I make by using thaumaturgically treated Hearstone as an analogue to jade. Eventually I intend to craft a jouten made of Exaltations for myself, so space is at a premium even though space is also kinda wonky, but there's plenty of it in my other multiverse-bodies, subdimensional boltholes and spatial nexuses what's the plural of nexus again? anyway.

Which actually brings me to my other point. I've noticed that Gauntlet anon has Jumper Industries and a few other Companies that follow you around, I think one or two which actually follow you around. So if you have a company that follows you around and you want to keep the functionaries that you;ve gotten is it okay to do them like the boat from Uncharted Water? Cause I'd love to carry a company with the God of Paperwork and Smooth Bureaucracy as one of my paper pushers. I don't mean to kick up a shit storm just wanna make sure that this gray area is explored a bit, either by shutting it down or by tactfully looking into it.

And lapses of judgement aside, I abhor waste. Islinde is given exactly one responsibility: Provide Essence and artifacts to fuel the growth of my Inner World. Exalted: Infernals. A powerful enough Infernal can split off pieces of his soul into independent but loyal creatures of incredible power, just like the Primordials can. So if they all die, you don't experience identity death like a Primordial would.

>Myra, The Flame's Passion, the Dragon's Lust
Takes the form of an inhumanly beautiful redheaded woman with glowing green eyes and ivory skin, cloaked in flames. Her second Circles all look similar to her. She and they are aspects of pleasure, longing, debauchery, and nihilism but also joy and love. When in my World, she resides in a sprawling, city sized palace.

Our interactions are mostly what you'd expect from someone running into a raging nympho who's the embodiment of all their ideals of beauty who's totally loyal to them.

>Daud, the Flame's Wrath, the Dragon's Strength
Daud is an enormous dragon, made of what appears to be blood-stained iron and steel. He is the embodiment of my wrath, bloodlust and pure physical strength. Spends most of his time sleeping in the core of my World.

We don't interact much and I don't actually know a lot about him.

>Irina, The Flame's Conflict, the Dragon's Love
Sister to Myra, she appears nearly the same but with a more lithe and muscled form and clad in armor of bone. Irina is probably the Soul that I'm closest with as she is the closest to my own ideals and one or the most proactive. She is a warrior of supreme and skill and strength. In terms of a direct fight, she could likely take any of the other Souls. She loves nothing more than to fight in a pitched battle with a worthy opponent.

Often accompanies me in settings where there are strong beings to fight and tries to challenge the other Souls and I when there aren't.

>Sestus, the Flame's Brilliance, the Dragon's Ingenuity
Is living mountain range encircling a volcano. Each of them contain workshops, labs, smithies and the like that he has concrete from over. He is the second most reclusive of my Souls, next to Daud, and will spend decades engrossed in projects that interest him. Wants nothing more than for me to bring him interesting things for him to study or requests for things to build.

That's what I've come up with so far.

Nen's probably closest to chi, yeah. It's life force manipulation, basically. As for whether you can learn Hatsu, not easily. Ging can copy techniques, but he's supposed to be one of the greatest Nen users in existence, and no one else has been shown to do that. That said, Nen users do come up with new applications and extensions of their Hatsu. Like, Killua started off with just generating small shocks, into more complicated and powerful electrical attacks, and finally to the point where he can infuse his body with lightning to move at super speed and form a force field. Or Neferpitou, who learned to use his puppeteering powers on himself to make him superhumanly strong and fast. Stuff like that.
>>
>>50795313
To be fair that one Malfeas Charm is fluffed as an insensate soul-seed. Since folks want to learn all the Charms it's easy to pick that up, and presumably just as easy for that to be the new Fetich candidate since its probs a proto-Ligier.
>>
>>50795388
No, Malfeas is the size of Jupiter.

Theion was infinite, but he probably didn't have an inner world. It's not required for a Primordial to have one if they don't want to. As far as we know, Ligier and Ruvia illuminated Creation and Yu Shan along with the Unconquered Sun.
>>
>>50790461
I still need to nail down my Devil Tiger themes first but I know for sure I'll have a Purple Sun fetch and a Third -Circle that embodies my self loathing.

Not infinite, Malfeas has finite size now that he's no longer Theion. Cecylene's the only Yozi left who has infinite size, because she's used a barrier around the rest of Malfeas to keep demons from being able to cross out of it. That said, Malfeas's geometry is such that Ligier shouldn't be able to illuminate every single layer, and yet he does. The Green Sun cares little for your ideas of "locality" or "spatial orientation".

Technically, yes. However, Nen is a very personal thing, and there's a limit to how much you can grow by just copying other people. What you can, and should, do instead is create your own techniques. That is very much a thing, and will produce better results than trying to learn someone else's hatsu. Buying a technique just lets you master it right away with no training.

The current jump is lacking. It doesn't even mention vows and conditions.

As in, one of them got brain damage, and the other was blinded and half-dead.

And... maybe. Doom seems to take a price, a Sacrifice for its use. Which you couldn't destroy.

>>50795738
Yes, but you can pick a custom one. Or copy one of the existing ones if you're feeling unoriginal

If you rush it really hard... Probably a few years.

Essence to 6 (minimum of 12 months if you only meditate for that), getting two Shintai (at least a few weeks, probably months. too lazy to check the easiest ones), the actual Devil Tiger charms (minimum 48 weeks)

Probably some extra time to research all of this... I'd say something like 3 to 4 years if you focus ONLY on this? You'd be a very weak Devil Tiger though.

This is assuming you get the charm to let you go up one dot of Essence above what you should be able to get too, otherwise it shoots up to 100+ years.

Warrior and Thinker will want to vivisect you to find out how you did it, then turn you into a shard component so that they can do it. Step 1) Pretend you have interesting qualities
Step 2) Imagine that there is a person who represents one of these qualities
Step 3) Flesh them out a bit with relevant motivations/skills/personality traits. Make sure they fit your Devil Tiger theme at least vaguely.
Step 4) Make sure to take into account how they'll interact with the rest of them
Step 5) Design the rest of the subsoul
>>50796196
He'll stop blowing up everything he presumes you care about. For now.

>>50796243
You're too dangerous to allow to live anyway, so the only difference in scenarios is whether or not he manages to convince you, not the other way around.
>>
>>50796207
Every Third Circle soul is built around one of your Intimacies, those things that are most important to you. Despite the name, they can be towards things or abstract concepts as well as people, and don't have to have a positive context. So think, what are the most important things to you?

Next, you have to dress it up into a physical form. Part of this will just be a reflection of your themes as a Devil Tiger. Ligier is pretty obviously one Malfeas's souls, for example. But they can deviate, too. It's also about what you associate with that Intimacy. Think of the symbolism behind those concepts. It's part of who you are, so what do you specifically associate with the ideas you care about.
>>
>>50796229
So your better off just Avada Kedavraing his face off no matter what? I know Scion isn't very bright and the Entities are shitty cosmic tapeworms, but can you really not reason with him at all?
>>
>>50795659
>So I'm not sure it would count as overlap.
Yeah but everything else is.
>>
>>50796243
Then I guess he doesn't have anything to offer you.

>>50796271
No, you can reason with him. It's just that he's the Warrior, not the Thinker. He can't give you things, he's too action-oriented to be able to come up with a fair trade. Eden was the one who handled those things, and she's dead. He'd try to offer you things, but "killing stuff" or "preventing stuff from being killed" are really all he's good at.
>>
>>50796207
First, read the descriptions for the canon third circle demons. Then pick an ideal that your jumper would value enough to make a soul out of, and think of a way to express it that's as weird as the demons are.

Malfeas is obsessed with being glorious, so he has a soul that's a green sun who lights up all of hell. Hell only has shadows because the sun is gracious enough to allow buildings to block out his light instead of shining straight through them. SHWiHN hates people who would betray the proper order, so she has a soul that's a giant chasm who traps treasonous words inside itself as echoes, so that no one can ever speak against their superiors. Adorjan wants to be able to run away from her problems, so she has an angel who speaks roads into being.

Pick something like that, either a landscape, something that fits in the sky, or just a super weird being who defines the landscape around them.

I don't think their first reaction would be to kill.
They'd likely try scanning/copying anon first, and when that didn't work, they'd just observe him with all their senses/instruments turned up to full blast, to try and detect how he's mucking about with space-time or creating energy out of nowhere or whatever.

THEN they'd vivisect him, when that didn't work.

>>50796196
He'd give you basically anything you wanted at that moment, probably.
Of course, he's an basically an autistic retard, and I mean that literally. He has a poor understanding of how humans work, and he's not particularly forward thinking.

It's Eden you have to watch out for. She was the smart one, and Zion was her dumb ox/bodyguard.
You resurrect her and her first instinct will likely be to just trash every iteration of earth with you included and move on to better, safer breeding grounds.

>>50796271
If you really want to get rid of the Entities without just killing them, you need to give them a way to create energy/reverse entropy, which is what they're searching for.
That's why they do the terrible things they do; they're trying to brute-force experiment with physics until snaps and gives them back infinite juice, so they can live and reproduce forever and ever.

They're just afraid of dying, like every other successful animal that ever lived. The difference is they can really do something about it.
>>
>>50796185
>which I don't think a soul would count as.

I really don't understand this at all. Souls are manipulated, held, trapped, recycled, transferred, etc. Now, that's not to say that doing that would make a soul fit for Exaltation, but souls are "objects/items" in nearly every sense.

>>
>>50796377
It's still probably a bad idea to give them entropy-reversal. They have a biological imperative to spread and consume as much as possible, the quest for entropy-reversal just happened because they realized without it they'd eventually not be able to do that anymore. So get rid of their limits and they'll overwrite all non-Entity matter in existence with themselves.

>>50796409
That might work, if you stuff them in demiplanes. Then they'll have somewhere safe to expand into. But then again, do you really want to? The Entities are not beings deserving of accomplishing their goals. They have committed the greatest genocides possible, over and over again. I say, fuck them, kill them all off. You don't respond to worms eating you alive by giving them something else to eat, you burn out the infection.
>>
>>50796428
Well, if you took your kidney out of your body, it'd probably work if you had perks to not reject biological additions. I mean, it might murder the soul's personality, but it would likely do something-if not what anon would want it to do.
>>
>>50796409
Oh no, they definitely deserve to die.
They care nothing for other sapients and have destroyed thousands, if not millions or even billions, of civilizations. And that's just Zion and Eden; there is an indeterminate number of other Entities out there, all doing the same thing.

But I guess giving them tech that let's them break physics would the pacifist route.

145. Once upon a time
=====================
Location - Storybrooke Maine
Age - 22
Background - Villan
Race - Dragon - 300

Perks
- Evil Laugh
- Villainous Charms - 400

- True Love's Kiss - 1200

Canon Companion - Captain Hook - 1400

Drawbacks
- A Boring Place - 1200
- Skin Me A Crocodile - 1000

I mean, by this worlds standards I probably am a Villain but holy fucking shit I think these guys need one from time to time. Redemption is all well and good but how many people have to die along the way Snow White? HOW MANY!?! I do have to say that the way everyone plays everything straight is charismatic as fuck though.

Pretty soon after the curse was lifted my companions and I started a M-com militia to contain the magical threats SCP style. I honestly have no idea why anyone would go to the Enchanted Forest or Neverland without an assault rifle if they have the option. And the Jolly Rodger is nice and all but we can get an Arleigh-Burke class guided missile destroyer with tomahawk missiles and helicopters.

I have to say though, this incarnation of Captain Hook is the best one I've seen. That messy hair, that smirk, that swagger, that commissar's jacket. Just... yes, yes to it all. I will be your ship, Captain!

It's really weird how Justice is a big thing to me but Bad Boys and Bad Girls just do something. Regina too to some extent but I very quickly found her antics more pathetic than charismatic, but not bad enough to elevate her from Euclid to Keter. We'll just stuff her in a cell somewhere or brand her with some anti-magic curse until she has her character arc.

I was thinking more along the lines of introducing evolutionary competitors that fill the same niche but are less harmful to the hosts. I think Hawaii tried something like that involving Mongooses, it didn't turn out so great, either you're going to get something that can outcompete entities which will Most likely be worse Given the manners in which entities compete, or you're going to put evolutionary pressure on entities which will make the Entities more powerful and aggressive. Firstly, you are the last person who gets to critique others about the unintended consequences of their plans, though I am proud to see you've realized your plans have those consequences, at least. Secondly, importing invasive species goes poorly because those are creatures evolved for different environments. They cause havoc because they aren't fine-tuned for interacting with the new environment like the creatures that evolved there are. And being dumb animals, they can't make the choice to not be hazardous. I am going to be custom-building my Dinochrome Brigade (because why not invoke the Bolos, right?), taking the full weight of all the utterly insane technology perks in the chain, to make sure they don't go rogue. They will do what they are intended to, and nothing else. As for them causing an evolutionary arms race with the Entities, I'm not worried about that. You know why? Because Entities don't evolve. That's the whole point of the Cycle, they're offloading evolution on other species. They'll never get the chance to, with my system. Even if they do manage to, through some Darwinian effect of my hunting them, I'm confident that my work will remain better than theirs long enough to ensure any adaptations don't spread to the rest of the population. They'll be dead before they can communicate the new ideas to others.

Do people want a Sandbox or Generic God jump where you have extreme, reality warping power for the duration of the jump, but lose all benefits of said power at the end of the jump?

Would a premise of "Jumpchan needs you to watch one of her side projects while she handles some vague emergency" be too meta of a premise?
>>
>>50796813
I mean, fair enough, if I swung that way I'd probably step up to the plate.

I wouldn't mind Emma, personally, but she has too many emotional ties and and I'd sooner slit my own wrists than companion basically anyother member of her family.

...Actually, come to think of it, Maleficent and Lily are a mother-daughter combo I'm sorely tempted by.
>>
>>50796839
Well there be a time extension option so we can go to Neo-Tokyo, or what ever the future where Chibiusa is from is called? Or a fanfiction option? Or both?
>>
>>50796732
If the only point of the jump is a perk you aren't comfortable offering then I suggest not making the jump and letting someone who has less problems with it try.

Your basic options are: make the perk acquirable even if it is OP, don't let people buy it and listen to arguments about how there's no point taking the jump at all; explicitly block any attempt to acquire the power anyway and listen to arguments about how not letting people get it is stupid, or not to do the jump at all.

Well those are some good points and I'm not conscious enough to argue them effectively. So I guess yes you're right

Dementors are unkillable immortals. That's a category in the HP universe for beings that are impossible to destroy, period. They will always exist. Only horrible monsters exist in this category. Yes, that means that the wizards were creating MORE of something they can't get rid of. They're that retarded.

You need a perk to kill things that can't be killed.

I do offer a knockoff version of the silver crystal without the resurrection or purification powerups, essentially making it a very strong power enhancer.

The sailor senshi tree doesn't put you at the same level as Usagi, just one of the Inner Senshi in terms of strength.

I'll think about it. As for the continuity, I can expand the Sera Myu drawback to go in any kind of continuity.

the Manga has the most bullshit or rather the anime toned alot of the more extreme things down or rewrote them altogether.

Snow White was worried her daughter might have too much evil.

So she kidnapped Maleficent's daughter, transferred ALL the evil from her daughter to Mal's, and then abandoned Maleficent's elsewhere.

Snow white is nothing but bad decisions and regret.
>>
>>50797279
Same as the original jump was.

Mysterious Protector (Based around stealth and subterfuge, as well as protecting people and drawing power from love), Villain (Is around the same level as the Dark Kingdom in terms of strength, as now that I'm rereading the manga the Dark Kingdom is a lot stronger than I remember them to be. Based around basic Sailor Moon villain stuff involving stealing people's energy and making evil deals with them, as well as ripping out people's star seeds/souls), Sailor Senshi (Based around coordinating with your Active Companions for attacks), and Drop-In (Based less around combat and more teaching people and helping them increase power.)

Some seer told Snow White and Prince Charming that their daughter had the potential for great good and great evil. So, in order to avoid the risk of her becoming the next big villain, they transferred every trace of evil into Maleficent's unborn daughter, before abandoning it. Maleficent didn't even know her daughter was still alive. Needless to say, Maleficent is justifiably pissed.
>>
>>50797407

Please tell me there wasn't some sort of magic abortion to go along with the rest - it's hard to abandon unborn children without their mother otherwise.

>>
>>50796926
Well ghosts can't be killed in Harry Potter either but they can elsewhere. Ghostcutter might do it on its own, not really sure.

I always assumed that dementors reduce in numbers over time if they're not given a foodsource. I mean we know they multiply in the right conditions so when starved of those conditions they may well reduce in numbers. I guess I've always thought they reproduce more like mould than like animals.

Otherwise (and I know assuming any consistency in a setting like Harry Potter is a bit mental) they probably would have taken over or be much larger a problem than they are.
