I'm having problems fluffing local lore, traditions and general culture in my setting.
So let's talk about that, /tg/! Tell us about your cultural heritage, legends and folklore in general.
Pic related, Brazilian Boitatá, a huge-ass aquatic napal snake, protector of rivers and forests he hunts down people who burn down trees or disrespect nature in general. It's a tortured soul traped in this form to atone it's sins.

Ive got a few examples from the setting I like to go back to every once in a while.

Dwarves keeping time via a recitation of a 721 day epic poem.

Elves only being allowed to hold territory they can see from within their homes, resulting in "high elves" building massive towers to extend their dominion.

Depends on what kinds of cultural artifacts you want? Are we talking handycrafts? Social stigmas and customs? Festivals? Traditions of warfare?

The kitchen sink asian country I have in mind is particular about it's rivers and the mountain that feeds it.

Regardless of the various ethnicities that exist they are all joined by a belief that the tallest moutain in the setting is the "gate" to the celestial realm where the Black Emperor resides over the Court of Stars. He blessed 5 of his sons with dominion of the land and they came down to the world. One decided to stay at the base of the moutain and build a shrine in thanks to their father, while the other 4 walked the land and formed the 4 great rivers named after them and founded the four main ethnicities (which essentially mirror Chinese, Japanese, SE asian, and some other random flavor of asian). The 5 royal families are decedents of these 5 deities and the Emperor lives at the base of the mountain which is both a holy city and acts as a neutral meeting ground between all the various factions.

OP here. These are some neat ideas.
I'm looking for RL exemples, but anything and everything is appreciated.
>>50787414
Sounds like the emperor has to deal with a lot of bullshit.
>>
>>50787459
Ah, well from slavitage, I bring you Fexts: military commanders or lower-level bureaucrats who can only be killed by glass bullets. Also, something to include in your games is the idea that royalty are somehow literally impossible to kill without being blown apart. That features prominently as early as 200 years ago in eastern European countries.

>can only be killed by glass bullets
How the fuck did somebody found out about this? Where they imortal before the invention of gunpowder or a glass arrow would work just fine? Does obsidian count as glass? Wouldn't the bullet just shatter when fired? Why glass?
There are way too many questions.

I'm not certain I can help you, because I'm from Hue-hue Land as well.
A não ser que queira algo sobre gaúchos.

Scottish Brownies, one of the few fairies that aren't assholes. Whoever called them the "Good little people" is going to hell for lying because their rewarding good people pretty much comes down to you putting up with their shit.
Brownies are these little fairies that help with house chores and stuff. They only work at night because they tend to be shy. You're suppose to leave a chair or stool out by the fire for them to rest on and they tend to live in attics. basements, or just rooms generally not occupied.
In return for helping you with house chores you're suppose to leave some food out for them. If you start calling them or treating them like servants they leave though so you can't just leave stuff undone and expect the brownie to do it for you.
My grandmother used to call one of the rooms in her house the "Brownie's room". It was just a guest room but I thought it was super cool as a kid.
