[+1]: Create a colorless artifact token named Etherium Stone which has "T, Sacrifice this: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool."

[-2]: Target creature get +X/-X until end of turn where X is the number of artifacts you control.

[-7]: You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your combat phase, target artifact you control becomes a 5/5 artifact creature."

Do note that the emblem animating an artifact is permanent. Still feels underwhelming though.

I wouldn't say you're far off the dot. He's a little tricky to evaluate as a whole, but it's clear he's meant to be a multitool for artifact-centric decks. UB would especially enjoy it considering those two colors hold the best Gearhulks in Kaladesh.

I would say the best color you could run him with is White, which I feel has a good thing going when it comes to Artifact usage.

I like that if you can protect him on turn 4 you can ramp into a gearhulk on turn 5. With only two artifacts on the board his -2 has a good chance of killing something, and with 3 it seems guaranteed. Two things that concern me: He relies on good artifacts to build with (I doubt this will be a huge problem) and the four drop slot is incredibly competitive, especially with Yaheeni's Expertise being released.
People will complain that he isn't as good as Tez The Seeker
I'm happy with the power level he's at. Nothing too disgusting to where he demands play like Gideon, but nobody will give you a funny face for using him, unlike Arlinn Kord.

The ajani with swords to plowshares as the -2 seems like a decent control card. If only it could also hit artifacts and enchantments with that -2.
