Which was the greater leader, Hannibal or Scipio?
Hannibal was better imo. Prove me wrong. Pro tip: you can't.
Hannibal.
Hannibal lost the final battle because he didn't even want to fight it.
Although, I think he made some poor logistical choices that could've ended with "invade Russia in winter" tier disasters
Scipio was never part of the A-Team, which should tell you everything you need to know.

The guy who won.

Anon, logistics was one of the things he mastered to the T.
What really fucked him over in the end was the resources he had. Romans could just throw army after army at him. Who cares if he bested them all the time, if it was constantly, slowly, but surely draining his manpower. Eventually he had barely any troops left when compared to the initial numbers.
Really, all three Punic Wars can be best summed up in "The guys with more warm bodies won".

Carthage also refused to send reinforcements and supplies, forcing Hannibal's army to plunder food instead.

And he still managed on that AND while fucking up Roman supplies lines.
But seriously, should he got half the support he needed from Carthage, he would wreck the living shit out of Rome.
