I hear they're playable with Volo's Guide to Monsters and I love these little guys.

I like the crazy goblins like wow or pathfinder. I love the depth volo's guide goes into goblin society. I once in me young days made a race for a pathfinder campaign that were a mix of elf and orc that was hated and called goblins even though they were nothing like the little fucks. More of a racist motif to that adventure.

Bad CGI, bad script, bad characterisation, bad films from every angle.

The goblins themselves, as megalomaniacal dickheads were pretty compelling, the goblin king is basically the only character I can really imagine laying around all day, coming up with sings and doing impromptu performances because why not.

I also liked how obviously nasty they were but how cut off from the world too, it seemed like if he'd not heard of original orc donut steel and his vendetta against Thorin he'd have given serious thought to working a deal out with them, well right up until the main characters basically pissed him off for no reason.

So yeah, all of Azeroth's problems can be directly linked to the first Elves who were a mutated sub-species of troll. His art is probably one of the best studies in dynamic posing, rendering action in an interesting way, and using angles and lines to direct the viewer throughout a piece in way that shows a very high level of understanding of form and flow. He's great at rendering layers of cloth and armor and other stuff on top of a form, and when he really breaks out of his "3/4 view, legs-spread" concept-art poses, he can create some interesting really great works.

BUT, at the same time, his anatomy is horrible. If you have any understanding of the human figure, you can basically lay a proportioned skeleton over his poses and find that he breaks tons of anatomy rules all over the place. Limbs way too long, bent at weird angles, not matching up to where they should be. Curves, angles, joints all in the wrong place as he seems to draw his anatomy after deciding on the lines of the piece, not before, etc.

There's tons to learn from his work, but only if you know what parts to disregard.

Labyrinth Goblins. They should be evil, but only so far as a stereotypical child understands the concept of evil. As in, they wouldn't gouge out your eyes like a devil, but they might try to fuck with you before ganging up and trying to fight you like small animals.

Either that or Overlord/Sleeping Beauty Goblins, where they're more like dumb lackeys or henchmen to a more sinister and intelligent villain or BBEG.

I was a short 2-3 session campaign so i made a joke character. A goblin paladin whos name was Moses and he wanted to free his people from their cruel gods. As an interesting backstory i had him found wounded by an outcast dwarven ranger and raised as an outcast as well.

I have never killed a party member with a barghest but they are my favorite harassar. What is also fun is a murder mystery with one because they don't know if they are tracking a goblin or a wolf or something else.

Damn that only lasted 2 sessions, was hoping for 3 . But threw on so many loops they didnt get what it was until halfway throught the last session.
